Strong words, those. The God of the Old Testament clearly favored the death penalty.
The scriptures show that Jesus Christ was the God of the Old Testament.
In the New Testament book of Romans, God REAFFIRMS that authority:

Let every soul be subject unto the governing authorities. For there is no authority except
from God, and the authorities that exist [speaking of man’s governments and courts] are
appointed by God.… For he [a government or court official] is God’s minister [“servant”
or “magistrate” in some translations] to you for good. But if you do evil, be afraid; for he
does not bear the sword in vain; for he is God’s minister, an AVENGER TO EXECUTE
WRATH on him who practices evil” (Romans 13:1-4; New King James Version).
We should all obey the law of the land, otherwise there would be anarchy, but that is not to say the law of the land is right.

Will Christ's teaching suit you?

Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Rev 14:12 Here is a call for the endurance of the saints, who keep the commandments of God and hold fast to their faithfulness in Jesus:
Matthew5:19 was under the OLD testament.

The NEW testament did not begin until Christ's death

WE, on this side of the cross of Christ, are living under the NEW testament for which He shed His blood
The bible says: Mark 14:24 And He said unto them, This is my blood of the NEW testament, which is shed for many

Under the NEW testament Christians began keeping the first day of the week rather than the last day of the week

Just some things to ponder....have a great rest of your day

Here is the new testament;

Hebrews 10:16, "This is the covenant that I will make with them after those days, says YHWH: I will put My Law into their hearts, and in their minds I will write them.”
Mat 24:35, “Heaven and earth may pass away, but My teachings will not pass away.”

and in Scripture they stilol keopt Sabbath;

Acts 18:21, “But bade them farewell, saying, I must by all means keep this Feast that cometh in Jerusalem: but I will return again unto you, if Yah will. And he sailed from Ephesus.”

Acts 27:9, “Much time had been lost, and sailing had already become dangerous because by now it was after the Day of Atonement. So Paul warned them.”

“Day of Atonement” is word #G3521 in Strong's Concordance – nésteia, nésteia: fasting, a fast, Original Word: νηστεία, ας, ἡ, Part of Speech: Noun, Feminine, Transliteration: nésteia, Phonetic Spelling: (nace-ti'-ah), Short Definition: fasting, the day of atonement, Definition: fasting, the day of atonement.

Words of Yahshua post Sacrifice....

Revelation 12:17, “And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and he went to fight with the remnant of her seed, those guarding the commands of Yah and possessing the witness of יהושעMessiah."

Revelation 14:12-13, “Here is the endurance of the set-apart ones, here are those guarding the commands of יהוה and the belief of יהושע. And I heard a voice out of the heaven saying to me, Write, Blessed are the dead who die in the Master from now on. Yes, says the Spirit, in order that they rest from their labors, and their works follow with them.”

As far as I can tell, your arguing about rules. Doesn't it say somewhere that the sheep hear the calling, and Christ will not lose any the father gives him. Aren't we pre destined to be a sheep or a non saved goat. Aren't all sons chastened and scourged? All suffer tribulation = death = separation? Shouldn't you help eachother and check these things are happening to you?

This is more important, yes? Sabbath doesn't matter if God has given you to Jesus Christ. He won't lose you, if your a pre destined sheep, from the beginning.

Hi, nice to see another poster from the UK...there aren't many of us....but to the point...
you seem to think that rules/instruction/commands are not important...because we are... well...more or less saved already regardless of what we do ? shall we continue in sin ? Rom 6; 1Joh 3v4;
If that is so then why all the instructions and commandments and rules we are told to keep/obey/follow ? The Bible would be a very slim book without them....so actually they are important and the Sabbath is included, being the only one sanctified and holy to God. God does not 'lightly sanctify and hallow everything...so this day must be special to Him ?!?!

Do you think that anyone who transgresses God's law/commands or does not do His Will is going to be in His Kingdom ? Jesus/Yahshua says NOT Mat 7v21-23, don't you think HE would know ?

2 Timothy 2:5, "And if anyone competes for a title, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules."

1 Corinthians 9:24-27, "Do you not know that those who run in a race all compete, but only one receives the prize? So run your race that you may lay hold of the prize, and make it yours. And everyone who competes conducts himself temperately in all things. Now they compete to obtain a perishable crown; but we for an imperishable crown. Therefore, I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man who beats the air. No, I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified."

1 Kepha (Peter) 4:17-18 “For the time has come that judgment must begin at The House of יהוה; and if it first begins with us, what will the end be of those who do not obey the message of יהוה? And if the righteous are scarcely saved, where will the wicked and the sinner appear?”

How is it passible after the mission of Jesus Christ that there remain 611 laws?

There is not Israel.

There is no Temple.

There are no Levitical Priests not that priesthood.

Jesus has declared all foods clean by allowing that nothing by entering the body corrupts the body.

Again foods were declared clean by His appearing to Peter commanding him to take and eat of what had been designated as unclean foods.

As for punitive laws, have you not read when Jesus teaches us the three principles that must be applied when applyin ghe law? One of them is mercy.

Have you not learned of our Rabi we are not to take an eye for an eye? Rather we are to turn the other cheek.

We are to love our enemy and pray for them..just as we pray for you.

Yahweh is good all of the time, not just now and then. He is good, no qualifying adjectives or qualifying adverbs necessary.

When a person does not share the faith given by Him to all faithful, he should pray and meditate on this to receive it.

Do not even make mention of 611 laws to any who are of Yeshua, Jesus...it is a blasphemy, regarding the Es Yahweh, the Lamb of God as not worthy. Praise Jesus Chrsit, surely He is returning soon,amen.
I go with what Jesus said. "I come not to break the law and the prophets but to fulfill." We are all under the law. Paul said the law tells him where he fails. Without the law how should we know what is sin? Jesus died on the cross and rose the third day so if we accept his sacrifice we have our sins (breaking the law) forgiven.

Where do people get the unbiblical ideas from. I suggest people get a plan to read through the Bible in a year. Some of it like the genolologies are boring but still important.

Romans 3
No One Is Righteous

9 What shall we conclude then? Do we have any advantage? Not at all! For we have already made the charge that Jews and Gentiles alike are all under the power of sin. 10 As it is written:
There is no one righteous, not even one;
11 there is no one who understands;
there is no one who seeks God.
12 All have turned away,
they have together become worthless;
there is no one who does good,
not even one.”
13 “Their throats are open graves;
their tongues practice deceit.”
“The poison of vipers is on their lips.”
14 “Their mouths are full of cursing and bitterness.”
15 “Their feet are swift to shed blood;
16 ruin and misery mark their ways,
17 and the way of peace they do not know.”
18 “There is no fear of God before their eyes.”

19 Now we know that whatever the law says, it says to those who are under the law, so that every mouth may be silenced and the whole world held accountable to God. 20 Therefore no one will be declared righteous in God’s sight by the works of the law; rather, through the law we become conscious of our sin.

Righteousness Through Faith

21 But now apart from the law the righteousness of God has been made known, to which the Law and the Prophets testify. 22 This righteousness is given through faith in Jesus Christ to all who believe. There is no difference between Jew and Gentile, 23 for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God, 24 and all are justified freely by his grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus. 25 God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith. He did this to demonstrate his righteousness, because in his forbearance he had left the sins committed beforehand unpunished— 26 he did it to demonstrate his righteousness at the present time, so as to be just and the one who justifies those who have faith in Jesus.

It would be nice if you said something about why you chose the verses you post. What you do is confusing. I am starting to ignore you.

Do as you please. I don't see the need to always add my own words, the passagres mean what they say so why do I need to add something to them? BUt none the less here goes;

2 Timothy 2:19-21, “However, the solid foundation of
Yah stands firm, having this seal, “
יהוה knows those who are His, and, let everyone who names the Name of Messiah turn away from unrighteousness. But in a large house there are not only vessels of gold and silver, but also of wood and clay, some unto value and some unto no value. If, then, anyone cleanses himself from these matters, he shall be a vessel unto value, having been set apart, of good use to the Master, having been prepared for every good work.”
Those who truly calim Messiah depart from living in unrighteousness, and they should that we may be of use to Yah, rather than be unfit for His purposes.

1 John 2:4, "The one who says, “I know Him,” and does not guard His commands, is a liar, and the truth is not in him."

Those who claim Him but do not do as He says are falsely claiming Him.

Luke 6:46-9, “But why do you call Me ‘Master, Master,’ and do not do what I say? "“Everyone who is coming to Me, and is hearing My words and is doing them, I shall show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid a foundation on the rock. But the one hearing and not doing, is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream burst, and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.”
His words are trustworthy and sure, those who realy on them as guides are building their belief on solid doctrine, those who do not are building their belief on an unstable and untrustworthy doctrine.

Romans 6:16, "”Do you not know that to whom you present yourselves servants for obedience, you are servants of the one whom you obey, whether of sin to death, or of obedience to righteousness?”
There is no way around it, we are servants to who we obey, if we live a life of sin we obey evil and will getit leads to death, if we live a life of obedience it is right before Yah.

maybe it helps some people to see/read/hear our own words confirming scripture...makes it more real to them...more personal and more livable...imho.
I know our interaction should be with God but it is nice to have someone like ourself close-by to connect with.

Matthew 28

16Then the eleven disciples went away into Galilee, into a mountain where Jesus had appointed them. 17And when they saw him, they worshipped him: but some doubted. 18And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. 19Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: 20Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

Celebrating the Seventh day has changed for me over the years, always for the better.

I cannot speak for others but these days, perhaps because of my own years, it seems as soon as the Sabbath is over, I am joyously looking forward to the next Sabbath. It is a peaceful and wonderful sensation.

It is possible our Father, in His wisdom, saves the very best for the very last. Whatever it is, it is certainly joyous. Praise Yah, amen.

GENESIS 26
[3]Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee,
and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I WILL PERFORM THE OATH
WHICH I SWARE UNTO ABRAHAM thy father;

[4] And I will make thy seed to multiply as the stars of heaven, and will give unto thy seed
all these countries; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;

[5] BECAUSE THAT ABRAHAM OBEYED MY VOICE, and kept my charge,
MY COMMANDMENTS, my statutes, and MY LAWS.

And in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed;
because thou hast obeyed my voice.

Abraham was observing to keep Gods 10 commandments
He heard and obeyed Gods "voice".

DEUT. 27
[8] And thou shalt write upon the stones all the words of this law very plainly.

[9] And Moses and the priests the Levites spake unto all Israel, saying, Take heed,
and hearken, O Israel; this day thou art become the people of the Lord thy God .

[10] Thou shalt therefore OBEY THE VOICE of the Lord thy God, and
DO HIS COMMANDMENTS and his statutes, which I command thee this day.

The voice

DEUT. 4 [12] And the Lord spake unto you out of the midst of the fire:
ye heard THE VOICE of the words, but saw no similitude; only ye heard a voice.

[13] And he declared unto you his covenant, which HE COMMANDED
YOU TO PERFORM, EVEN TEN COMMANDMENTS; and he wrote
them upon two tables of stone.

ZEPHANIAH 3
[1] Woe to her that is filthy and polluted, to the oppressing city!
[2] SHE OBEYED NOT THE VOICE; she received not correction; she trusted not in the
LORD; she drew not near to her God. [3] Her princes within her are ROARING LIONS;
her judges are evening WOLVES; they gnaw not the bones till the morrow.

[4] Her prophets are light and treacherous persons: her priests have polluted
the sanctuary, THEY HAVE DONE VIOLENCE TO THE LAW.

JOHN 10
[27] MY SHEEP HEAR MY VOICE, and I know them, and they follow me:

[28] And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish,
neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

Also Gods sheep shall also hear His “voice”.

HEBREWS 4 [6] Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they
to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:

[7] Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time;
as it is said, TO DAY IF YE WILL HEAR HIS VOICE, harden not your hearts.

This was prophecied to happen.

DEUTERONOMY 4
[26] I call heaven and earth to witness against you this day, that ye shall soon utterly perish
from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days
upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.

[27] And THE LORD SHALL SCATTER YOU AMONG THE NATIONS, and ye shall
be left few in number among the heathen, whither the LORD shall lead you.

[28] And there ye shall serve gods, the work of men's hands, wood and stone,
which neither see, nor hear, nor eat, nor smell.

[29] But if from thence thou shalt seek the LORD thy God, thou shalt find him,
if thou seek him with all thy heart and with all thy soul.

[30] When thou art in TRIBULATION, and all these things are come upon thee,
even in THE LATTER DAYS, if thou turn to the LORD thy God,
and shalt be OBEDIENT UNTO HIS VOICE;

from off the land whereunto ye go over Jordan to possess it; ye shall not prolong your days
upon it, but shall utterly be destroyed.

[30] When thou art in TRIBULATION, and all these things are come upon thee,
even in THE LATTER DAYS, if thou turn to the LORD thy God,
and shalt be OBEDIENT UNTO HIS VOICE;

[31] (For the LORD thy God is a merciful God he will not forsake thee, neither
destroy thee, nor forget the covenant of thy fathers which he sware unto them.
I like the KISS method. (Keep It Simple Stupid) I worked in electronics and software for 35 years. Too many times the designers of the hardware and software made things too complicated. I would have to then simplify things if I worked on them. It needs to be used in theology. One thing I learned is never use a series of single verses to make a point. You can "prove" almost anything using that method including non Biblical concepts. Thus KISS wants to understand the context of the verses. I always put the verses in context to find the real meaning. That way the real meaning of the verses is made plain. Thus anytime I see a list like this I have to go to Bible gateway and bring up the chapter for each verse.

first off the Shabbat was established in Gen 2:2 long before the commandments were given on mout sainai! Shabbat is for all mankind, not just the hebrew people. The so called rules and rituals were not given then: it is simply a day of rest.We are to rest and meditate upon G-d. We rest so we do not get so caught up in the effort to acquire possessions, but instead realize that there are other things in life to desire.We are to meditate upon G-d as a reminder that he is, and that he cares for us. These are nor grevious requests, and they are not rituals.
