They become rituals because God commanded them to the Jews. SDA's believe that the commands to the Jews like strict diets and sabbath apply to them. Therefore they must also offer animal sacrifices since it is a command from God. Not just pick commands that they like.
Amen,

The law is a while. Not in part. If your going to obey one your indebted to obey all

Any particular reason for feeling the need to point that out?
This thread has over 100 pages of replies, Who is going to read all 100 pages to see what has been said and to actually respond to the OP. Who I am not sure is even here. (he is still being called a newbie after three years)

It would be better to open a new thread. Thats all I was thinking

If that's what you believe then that's what you believe. I am only quoting what the Bible and The Ten Commandments say. God bless you brother.
If I showed you the scriptures where what I said is written would you believe as I do?

Also, why do you not also stone people for adultery? It is written in the Bible.

She never said that,

You have a comprehension problem my friend.
feeding false information and hoping one of 2 things:

1. respondent will get angry and perhaps create a reportable post

2. desire to deflect from what they are actually saying

quite a few people in this forum do this. some have done it so long, I don't think they are aware. it is a reflex at this point

1 Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.
2 For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.
3 For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world.
4 For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works.
5 And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.
6 Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief:
7 Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.
8 For if Jesus had given them rest, then would he not afterward have spoken of another day.
9 There remaineth therefore a rest to the people of God.
10 For he that is entered into his rest, he also hath ceased from his own works, as God did from his.
11 Let us labour therefore to enter into that rest, lest any man fall after the same example of unbelief.

You can't do both. You are either given Rest and cease from your work or you continue to look to the law and work at that to try and gain Righteousness before God.

We are told explicitly that it is not by working at the law that makes us righteous. Even though it seems like a contradiction to the natural man.

there's a great post by a current member.....post 10

instead of one viewpoint or an opposite, it could be that our minds have not caught up with God's yet.

because we now -- at any person's time frame in history -- see through a glass darkly -- not full of light necessarily -- yet -- we can have blind spots............. missing info, incorrect info, errors, idols of the mind or heart or emotions, milky ideology, ideology at any level and/or kind that holds us in darkness, ect.

-- that are all or however many at a given time in our lives -- standing in our way --

our way of learning, finding, discovering, coming to know -- more and more truth as we uncover/ come out of the darknesses (unknowns) that warp or distort, or dumb down, or prevent, or obfuscate our vision on each and every subject of the Bible -- and of Life. life physical............ and life Spiritual.

No not at all. The commands on what to eat and what not to eat aren't ritualistic, therefore they still apply. They weren't put in place to point towards Jesus's sacrifice, they are there so that we know what to eat and what not to eat.
Where does the bible say that only the ritualistic commands were to be ended, and who determines whether a law is ritualistic or not? Even the Sabbath is ritualistic from one point of view, but blessed and beneficial without considering the ritual. If you say the food laws still apply as they are for health (presumably?), then what about other so-called ritual laws also beneficial for health? You might say these laws are ritualistic, but they can likewise be argued as health laws, or even what we should do (e.g. eat) or not do (e.g. not eat). If Galatians tells us we are no longer under the law of Moses, then neither do the food laws apply, although this should be obvious from Acts 11.

Acts 11:4-10

But Peter rehearsed the matter from the beginning, and expounded it by order unto them, saying,
I was in the city of Joppa praying: and in a trance I saw a vision, A certain vessel descend, as it had been a great sheet, let down from heaven by four corners; and it came even to me:
Upon the which when I had fastened mine eyes, I considered, and saw fourfooted beasts of the earth, and wild beasts, and creeping things, and fowls of the air.
And I heard a voice saying unto me, Arise, Peter; slay and eat.
But I said, Not so, Lord: for nothing common or unclean hath at any time entered into my mouth.
But the voice answered me again from heaven, What God hath cleansed, that call not thou common.
And this was done three times: and all were drawn up again into heaven.

We are supposed to worship every day. Not just saterday or sunday.

Are you married? Do you tell your spouse you will worship her on Saterday? Or do you worship her every day?

This Sabbath stuff is just wrong my friend
Uh no I'm not married yet, I'm 15 haha. And I'm also a girl. Also I want saying that we shouldn't worship God everyday, I'm just saying he specifically blessed that day so we can rest and remember his creation.

I see your point brother. I made an error here so let me correct myself. Yes, all of the ritualistic laws have passed because they were only there to point to Jesus's coming, but since he has already come they are no longer valid. Yes, this does include the food guidelines of Leviticus 11, however Adventists still abide by them because the foods outlined can be detrimental to health. Not to say that anyone who eats them is gonna die, but I've done my own personal research on the matter and I can see why God excluded those specific foods for us not to eat. Sorry for getting that wrong, I need to research it better, but no, no one is obliged to follow them but the Adventist church believes that it's still good health practice. God bless you brother, and peace and love to you.

Where does it say in the bible that if I worship on any day except saterday that is the mark of the beast?
Well I read through Revelation and looked at the characteristics of identifying the beast that it talks about and came to that conclusion. If you didn't then that's fine, since we're all different we also may have different ways of interpreting the Bible. I can't judge you on how you interpret it, I can only bring my viewpoints on how I interpret it. God bless.

Oh no that wasn't my intention at all. I was thinking on the mindset that if you say that only certain books of the Bible apply to you then naturally you'll disregard the others, which equates to removing them. I'm apologize for assuming if that isn't what you meant.

Sabbath is part of the ten commandments. If you're going to obey one of them then you have to obey that one too.

" 18 For truly I say unto you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.
19 Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:18-19
