instead of one viewpoint or an opposite, it could be that our minds have not caught up with God's yet.

because we now -- at any person's time frame in history -- see through a glass darkly -- not full of light necessarily -- yet -- we can have blind spots............. missing info, incorrect info, errors, idols of the mind or heart or emotions, milky ideology, ideology at any level and/or kind that holds us in darkness, ect.

-- that are all or however many at a given time in our lives -- standing in our way --

our way of learning, finding, discovering, coming to know -- more and more truth as we uncover/ come out of the darknesses (unknowns) that warp or distort, or dumb down, or prevent, or obfuscate our vision on each and every subject of the Bible -- and of Life. life physical............ and life Spiritual.

FALSE TEACHING # 1: A GOSPEL OF GRACE PLUS LAW

Seventh-day Adventism professes to teach salvation by grace through faith, but they redefine this to add works to grace.

According to Adventist doctrine, grace is the power and forgiveness God gives to enable a sinner to keep God’s law and to thereby build a holy character fit for Heaven. The individual that fails to build the right character by God’s grace will never see Heaven. Faith and works are said to be the two oars by which the believer is propelled to glory.

These false teachers are aptly described by the apostle Paul in his epistle to the Galatians: “And that because of false brethren unawares brought in, who came in privily to spy out our liberty which we have in Christ Jesus, that they might bring us into bondage” (Gal. 2:4).

It is important that we carefully document the Seventh-day Adventist doctrine of salvation, since it is very subtle. Often, in their literature produced for the general public, the Seventh-day Adventists modify what they believe in an attempt to appear orthodox. The Christian should beware of the deceitfulness of the false churches. They are like the chameleon that changes colors according to varying situations. On one hand they try to appear orthodox. “We are just like you,” they protest. On the other hand they promote all sorts of heretical teachings and attempt to draw converts away from the Bible-believing churches. This should not surprise us. The New Testament refers frequently to the deception of false teachers. Jesus called false teachers wolves in sheep’s clothing (Mat. 7:15). He warned that they would try to deceive many (Mat. 24:4-5). The apostle Paul called them “deceitful workers” (2 Cor. 11:13). He said they use “cunning craftiness” (Eph. 4:14). He said they “speak lies in hypocrisy” (1 Tim. 4:2).

Consider carefully the following statements about salvation from Adventist publications. While professing to believe in salvation by grace alone through faith alone, they redefine grace. The result is a false gospel that mixes grace and law.

From a Seventh-day Adventist Tract:

“Christ says to every man in this world what He said to the rich young ruler: ‘If thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments,’ Matthew 19:17. In other words, THE STANDARD FOR ADMISSION INTO HEAVEN IS A CHARACTER BUILT ACCORDING TO THE TEN SPECIFICATIONS, OR COMMANDMENTS, OF GOD’S LAW. ...... THE MASTER BUILDER WILL STAND RIGHT WITH YOU AND IN YOU, AND SEE TO IT PERSONALLY THAT YOUR LIFE COMES UP TO THE REQUIREMENTS OF GOD’S LAW” (Charles Everson, Saved by Grace, pp. 45-46).

From a Seventh-day Adventist Correspondence course:

“Do you want to be a Christian? ... The steps to Christ are few and plain and easy to understand, and we will turn to God’s Guidebook now for information. ... Believe; that’s the first step toward becoming a Christian. ... the second step is repentance ... repentance is simply being sorry for our sins and putting them away ... the next step in becoming a Christian is confession ... real repentance and confession mean not only to stop sinning, but to do everything possible to make past wrongs right ... The next step is baptism, and the proof for that is found in Acts 2:38-39 ... Fifth, obedience through Christ in us ... So we have clearly outlined the steps that we need to take in order to become a Christian: to believe in God, to repent of and to confess our sins, to be baptized, AND TO OBEY ALL THE COMMANDMENTS OF THE LORD. ... He may stumble and fall, but he gets up and presses forward again, determined to overcome by God’s enabling power. Such a fall is not counted against him when he repents and asks forgiveness and divine help to live the right life” (New Life Voice of Prophecy Guide, #12).

Adventism labels this doctrine “salvation by grace,” but it is not the grace that was preached by the Lord’s apostles.

Uh no I'm not married yet, I'm 15 haha. And I'm also a girl. Also I want saying that we shouldn't worship God everyday, I'm just saying he specifically blessed that day so we can rest and remember his creation.
i think you made my point, A day of rest vs a day or wprship are two different thing.Sadly to many people take the day of rest and judge those who do not worship on that day. I use saterday as a day of rest. But I go to church on Sunday. That does not mean I break the sabbath, more does it mean I will accept the mark of the beast.

I understand that the name you are going by here on Christian Chat, stands for Original Gospel of Matthew. you provided the link in your bio when you joined

as that is the case, it seems you believe that the first 2 chapters of Matthew were added and you do not believe that Jesus was born of a virgin, but that he was born to Mary and Joseph.

the belief is that Jesus kept the law perfectly, even though he was only a man, and God approved of him because he did so

I find it interesting how some people will come to a forum, be somewhat obscure in what they believe, and just jump right in with their beliefs that are different than what this website stands for, and act like they are now going to teach their own truth

Well I read through Revelation and looked at the characteristics of identifying the beast that it talks about and came to that conclusion. If you didn't then that's fine, since we're all different we also may have different ways of interpreting the Bible. I can't judge you on how you interpret it, I can only bring my viewpoints on how I interpret it. God bless.
true

but where do you see it? We are here to help each other. If you are wrong would you not want to know? I know I would. If I said something is written in the word. I also hope I can prove it. Otherwise it just becomes my view and I can not help others nor can anyone help me

Sabbath is part of the ten commandments. If you're going to obey one of them then you have to obey that one too.

" 18 For truly I say unto you, until heaven and earth pass away, not the smallest letter or stroke shall pass from the Law until all is accomplished.
19 Whoever then annuls one of the least of these commandments, and teaches others to do the same, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but whoever keeps and teaches them, he shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven." Matthew 5:18-19
1. The ten commands are called the ministry of death written in stone.
2. Moses demanded everyone confirm and obey they will obey every one. Failure in one part, as James said makes us guilty of them all
3. The failure to keep the law as required (perfection) brings about the curse of the law which is death.

The law is a schoolmaster to lead us to christ. Why would you want to go to the schoolmaster after you found Christ and not to the new way, in which we can learn to be like Christ?

Finally. You missed the whole just of my post. The law is a whole. The ten commands are one part. If your going to follow one part. Your required to follow them all. You can’t pick and chose what part you want to follow and claim your obeying the law.

Yes that's true. And if I am wrong in anything I say I would gladly accept correction. It's a whole lot to explain which is why I recommend watching the video I linked because it's hard to type up so you can read it with clarity. Here it is again.

Yes that is true. You can worship on any day of the week, I was only highlighting that God blessed the seventh day specifically so we can rest from our work. Although we have rest in Christ we still have to go to work during the week and go about various duties. But Sabbath rest requires that we stop all of that for one day and commune with God as a memoriam of creation. Of course that doesn't mean you can't go to church on Sunday, but the problem with that is that it is a day decided by the Roman Catholic church to be the new Sabbath. They havesaid that themselves, I'm not putting words in their mouth. They themselves have said that Saturday is the true Sabbath. It's up to you what you do with that information. I don't mean to judge you, I only mean to inform. I am not in any place to judge you or anyone else in what you do, no one is. I apologize if I have come across that way, as I am a sinner, and I have no right at all to judge the actions of others. I don't know who you are at all, and I'm not gonna say that just because you worship on Sunday you're a horrible person or you don't read the Bible. No, I'm not gonna say that at all. If that's the way that you interpret the Bible then so be it. You seem like a wonderful person and you believing that doesn't change that fact at all. God bless you.

well it hasn't cleared it up for you or Ellen. seems to have confused the lot of you actually
Well then you read it and decide for yourself. I never said that works will get you into heaven. I said that faith will, but works coincides with faith. In James it talks about how Abraham's faith was justified through his sacrifice of his child. In other words, his works justified his faith. If I just sit at home and say I have faith in God and read my Bible and pray, my faith will start to die. God said we should go into the world, and that includes helping people and showing love and kindness to them which is a part of works. God bless you.

Actually all I need to see is the Bible verse that says worshiping on Sunday is the mark of the beast.

if you cant show this, or something at least close to it. Then I can not believe you..or anyone who teaches that.

The Bible doesn't say that outfront no, but if you study it then you come to that conclusion. If you've studied it and you didn't come to that conclusion, that's fine by me. Like I said, we are all different and we have different ways of interpreting the Scripture. God bless you.

Actually going to church on Saturday IS breaking the sabbath

Your not to do ANY WORK. Unless you are doing work which is required for life. (Remember, Jesus was told he broke the sabbath because he healed).

What day we go to church is NOT the issue. And you judging people who worship on Sunday as being in sin is just wrong.

if I was you. I would stop focusing on following laws. I would worry about how I love God and serve others (the law of Love) because I can keep all ten commands the best I can and do it all my life. It will not make me righteous person nor will it make me christ like. Thats not why it was given. You need to study galations deep and hard my friend

you contradict yourself often

your beliefs are tied into and up with a 'works' gospel

you are not convincing anyone otherwise
