Sure there is.

DO YOU WANT ETERNAL LIFE
MATT.19 [16] And, behold, one came and said unto him, GOOD MASTER, WHAT GOOD THING SHALL I DO, THAT I MAY HAVE ETERNAL LIFE?[17] And he said unto him, Why callest thou me good? there is none good but one, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS.[18] He saith unto him, Which? Jesus said, Thou shalt do no murder, Thou shalt not commit adultery, Thou shalt not steal, Thou shalt not bear false witness,

DO YOU KNOW GOD
1 JOHN 2 [1] My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous: [2] And he is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world. [3] AND HEREBY WE DO KNOW THAT WE KNOW HIM, IF WE KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS. [4] He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

HAVE YOU BEEN TAUGHT “JUST BELIEVE” AND YOU WILL BE SAVED
JAMES 2 [19] Thou believest that there is one God; thou doest well: THE DEVILS ALSO BELIEVE, and tremble.

DO YOU LOVE GOD
1 JOHN 5 [1] Whosoever believeth that Jesus is the Christ is born of God: and every one that loveth him that begat loveth him also that is begotten of him. [2] BY THIS WE KNOW THAT WE LOVE THE CHILDREN OF GOD, WHEN WE LOVE GOD, AND KEEP HIS COMMANDMENTS. [3] For this is the love of God, that we keep his commandments: and his commandments are not grievous.

DO YOU WANT GODS HOLY SPIRIT
JOHN 14 [15] If ye love me, KEEP MY COMMANDMENTS.[16] And I will pray the Father, and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever;[17] Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you.

HAS HEAVEN AND EARTH PASSED – YIKES! WHAT AM I STANDING ON?
MATT.5 [17] Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.[18] For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.

WANT TO BE ONE OF GODS SAINTS
REV.14 [12] Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that KEEP THE COMMANDMENTS of God, and the faith of Jesus

BEEN TAUGHT DUE TO FAITH WE NEED NOT KEEP GODS COMMANDMENTS
ROMANS 3 [31] Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.

WANT TO ENTER THE CITY - THE 1000yr PERIOD OF REST
REV.22 [14] Blessed are they that DO HIS COMMANDMENTS, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city

FROM THE WRITINGS OF PAUL
1 COR. 7 [19] Circumcision is nothing, and uncircumcision is nothing, but the KEEPING OF THE COMMANDMENTS of God.

You can see all these NT scriptures telling us to keep Gods 10 commandments. Alls ya gotta do now is go read the 4th commandment
and what commands was John referring to? in 1st John 3, John states that the commands we are to keep are " believe in the name of the Son and love one another" , which echoed what Jesus said himself said- " whosoever believes in me shall be saved " and " a new command I give you, love one another as I have loved you".

now, if you accept the truth of the Trinity, then you will understand the mount of Transfiguration when the Father said of the Son= this is My beloved Son in whom I am well pleased . hear Him! "

this elevates and separates the Words in Red over the rest of Scripture , including the 10.

so, you are wrong in saying Christ followers have to keep the Sabbath. we do not, and were never commanded to do so, nor were any gentiles.

As for you, you were dead in your transgressions and sins
(Ephesians 2:1)
This is what the Sovereign LORD says: No foreigner uncircumcised in heart and flesh is to enter my sanctuary, not even the foreigners who live among the Israelites.
(Ezekiel 44:9)
Therefore I said to you that you will die in your sins; for unless you believe that I AM, you will die in your sins.
(John 8:24)

Jesus was circumcised and wasn't a foreigner and is now our High Priest as the scriptures commands. He is in charge of the Sanctuary and had already accepted the Gentiles that turned to God in Colossians.

Who was beguiling them, who was trying to spoil them.

4 And this I say, lest any man should beguile you with enticing words.

8 Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.
9 For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily.

Who was He?

Col. 1:15 Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature:
16 For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him:

17 And he is before all things, and by him all things consist.

Whose Law condemned the Gentiles who turned to God? Whose Law condemned the Prophets, and then the Christ to death?

When you figure out who were teaching these "Commandments of Men" as Law, then you will know what "handwriting of ordinances" were against them.

24 But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.

Why were they lost? Did they not have Shepherds? Yes, they had shepherds which taught as law visions of their own mind, as it is written. Beware of them, don't listen to them for they make you Vain.

Therefore!!

16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days:
17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ.

All these things were created BY the Christ, not religious man. Even you can't deny this, or can you?

slander, and you know it.

"thou shalt not bear false witness"
- is this not also in the 10?
You said:

lol you think man killed God?

no sir. He gave Himself. no one could possibly put a nail through His foot unless He Himself both ordained and allowed it.

it is that very Word made flesh who was crucified, not the word of Gamaliel.

So Jesus committed suicide?

MATTHEW 11 [27] All things are delivered unto me of my Father: and no man knoweth the Son, but the Father; neither knoweth any man the Father, save the Son, and he to whomsoever the Son will reveal him. [28] Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. [29] Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest unto your souls. [30] For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

In order to find out what rest Jesus is speaking of simply read the very next verse. Keep in mind when this was written it was one continual writing. No chapters and verses.

MATTHEW 12 [1] At that time Jesus went on the sabbath day through the corn; and his disciples were an hungred, and began to pluck the ears of corn, and to eat.

Theres the rest that Jesus was speakin of
Exodus 16:22
On the sixth day, they gathered twice as much—two omers for each person—and the leaders of the community came and reported this to Moses.

John 16:7
Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send Him unto you.

let's remember the Sabbath and keep it holy.
let's remember Who the sabbath is, and keep holy what He has entrusted to us.
and if any honor any day, let's make sure it is to the Lord, not to justify ourselves in the flesh - keeping holy that good word we first heard and believed.

I believe what the Bible teaches Post.

51 Ye stiffnecked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, ye do always resist the Holy Ghost: as your fathers did, so do ye.
52 Which of the prophets have not your fathers persecuted? and they have slain them which shewed before of the coming of the Just One; of whom ye have been now the betrayers and murderers:

53 Who have received the law by the disposition of angels, and have not kept it.

Acts 2
36 Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?

So yes, I believe the Mainstream Preachers of their time killed God's Prophets, and they also Killed God's Son, exposing whom they truly served.

Of course you don't believe, in your religion it was God's Law that was against Him.

I didn't. I shared scriptures with you and you thought you could use another scripture to prove the scriptures I posted as false. This is a custom of yours it seems. And you are the master at this. I think you call it "Quote Mining".

I think Man has been killing God in their mind every since Eve was convinced by the serpent that God's Law was "against her".

14 having canceled out the certificate of debt consisting of decrees against us,
which was hostile to us; and He has taken it out of the way,
having nailed it to the cross.. (Colossians 2:14, NASB)

I did not come to destroy but to fulfill (Matthew 5:17)

exactly. Jesus fulfilled the requirement of breaking ANY part of the law which requirement was DEATH

6 I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, 7 which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. 8 But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. 9 As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.

10 For do I now persuade men, or God? Or do I seek to please men? For if I still pleased men, I would not be a bondservant of Christ.
Galatians 1

No Return to the Law
11 Now when Peter had come to Antioch, I withstood him to his face, because he was to be blamed; 12 for before certain men came from James, he would eat with the Gentiles; but when they came, he withdrew and separated himself, fearing those who were of the circumcision. 13 And the rest of the Jews also played the hypocrite with him, so that even Barnabas was carried away with their hypocrisy.

14 But when I saw that they were not straightforward about the truth of the gospel, I said to Peter before themall, “If you, being a Jew, live in the manner of Gentiles and not as the Jews, why do you compel Gentiles to live as Jews? 15 We who are Jews by nature, and not sinners of the Gentiles, 16 knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified

17 “But if, while we seek to be justified by Christ, we ourselves also are found sinners, is Christ therefore a minister of sin? Certainly not! 18 For if I build again those things which I destroyed, I make myself a transgressor. 19 For I through the law died to the law that I might live to God. 20 I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. 21 I do not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comesthrough the law, then Christ died in vain.”
Galatians 2

there is no other way to be saved except through believing in Christ Jesus

no other way

Just go back to post 258.

There is a yoke that neither the disciples nor their fathers could bear. That was the law of moses.

In contrast, the yoke of the Lord is easy and light. It is rest from the law of moses.

Pretty simple. No need to try and confuse it.

Also I think we should settle once and for all this notion of whether we - the body of Christ - are to judge or correct the body of Christ in matters of their faith walk...or at least wrestle with what scripture says before trying to tackle particulars like the Sabbath.

Examples from OT, to the Messiah, to NT:

- Leviticus 19:15
"You must not pervert justice; you must not show partiality to the poor or favoritism to the rich; you are to judge your neighbor fairly.

- Deuteronomy 1:16
At that time I charged your judges: "Hear the disputes between your brothers, and judge fairly between a man and his brother or a foreign resident.

- Psalm 58:1,2
Do you indeed speak righteousness, O congregation? do you judge uprightly

- Zechariah 7:9
"This is what the LORD of Hosts says: 'Administer true justice. Show loving devotion and compassion to one another.

- John 7:24 (Messiah)
Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment.

- Matthew 7:1-5 (Messiah)
Judge not, lest ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. Why do you look at the speck of sawdust in your brother’s eye and pay no attention to the plank in your own eye? How can you say to your brother, ‘Let me take the speck out of your eye,’ when all the time there is a plank in your own eye? You hypocrite, FIRST take the plank out of your own eye, AND THEN you will see clearly TO REMOVE the speck from your brother’s eye.

^In full context; not a commandment not to judge, but a commandment not to be a hypocrite, i.e. JUDGE RIGHTEOUSLY; "practice what you preach", which is in harmony with what he also said in John 7:24.

Luke 17:3 (Messiah)
So watch yourselves. "If your brother or sister sins against you, rebuke them; and if they repent, forgive them.

^A sin is a transgression against Yah's law. Here's an example of direct instruction to judge and rebuking someone who breaks Yah's law against us (such as one of the commandments regarding how to love our neighbors).

- ANY of Paul's letters to believers ANYWHERE.
Paul is not the head of this body, and yet Paul judged and reproved converts on their walk AND sins. Paul even judged Peter for wrongdoing. Paul is an equal member of the body judging another member of the body in their walk, so wouldn't he be braking his own instructions in Colossians 2:16 by his actions?

Consider for a moment; what sense would it make to write a long letter reproving believers in other sections only to say in one section, "let no man judge you..."? What, "no man" like Paul? Such instructions are completely contradictory to Paul's efforts elsewhere, including Christ's words regarding righteous judgment.

So we have to reexamine the Colossians passage since it the only passage that doesn't seem to fit the rest of scripture regarding the same topic. The italicized words in the passage don't fit the rest of Yah's instruction in scripture.

- Ephesians 4:11-13
And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying [i.e. building] of the body of Christ: UNTIL we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fullness of Christ:

^It's literally some members job in the body to perfect the faith walk of the members of the body, this requires judgment, as designated by Yah. Judgment is not the same as condemnation.

- Peter's letters to believers...James'...Jude's...John's letter
NONE of these men are the head of the body and yet EACH of these members of the body judged the body on what the body was and wasn't meant to do in their faith walk.

----

So based on scripture, we ARE to judge & reprove & edify the body of Christ in their walk as different members of the body, yet with one spirit. I think we're making a doctrine out of a single passage in one of Paul's letters that was corrupted with italics, which is - the corruption itself, that is - contradictory to the very purpose for which the letter was written to the Colossians: to judge & reprove & edify the body of Christ in their walk.

All judgment should be in righteousness and in love for edification of the body.

----

Next the question is, what does "Judge in righteousness" mean? And how does that relate to the Sabbath?

Well "Righteous" = Sedeq (Heb) = "accurate, fairly, just, just cause, justice, rightly, what is right." And there is only one standard that determines accuracy/fairness/justice/what is right, and that is the Law of Yah. So to be righteous (Sedeq) is to be lawful. And when we sin (i.e. break Yah's law) we are no longer righteous and must be cleansed. But there is no law that can cleanse us of our sin, it can only determine what's right and wrong, so we need Christ's blood to cleanse us (through faith). And then when we are justified/cleanse again we're expected to be righteous and "sin no more" (i.e. to obey Yah's law).

So to "judge in righteousness" means to judge in "what's right" based on the royal law of Yah, through the Spirit. And one of His laws is "remember the Sabbath and keep it holy".

So let's remember the Sabbath and keep it holy. We are set-apart for a reason. Christ brought us out of the world without condemnation as we were, and now we are to be sanctified into a holy priesthood. We should be operating less and less like the rest of the world and more and more like Christ did, as time passes in this faith walk. "Attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ".
Excellent post! Thanks for your thoughtful answers. I remember you from way back, and every time I read your posts I can't help but think of Yahshua's words referring to a man with no guile. Quite correct~ less like the world, more like Christ.

seeing that the Lord very clearly opens these remarks by saying 'judge not' it is quite bizarre to see you so confidently trying to explain that He is saying to us we ought to judge one another. and for people to be agreeing with you!

He says clear your own eye so that you can be able to help your brother clear his own. judge the plank and the speck, not the person. so i am judging the wrong interpretation and the false doctrine, not the person.

James 2:3-8
And ye have respect to him that weareth the gay clothing, and say unto him, Sit thou here in a good place; and say to the poor, Stand thou there, or sit here under my footstool: Are ye not then partial in yourselves, and are become judges of evil thoughts? Hearken, my beloved brethren, Hath not God chosen the poor of this world rich in faith, and heirs of the kingdom which he hath promised to them that love him? But ye have despised the poor. Do not rich men oppress you, and draw you before the judgment seats? Do not they blaspheme that worthy name by the which ye are called? If ye fulfil the royal law according to the scripture, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself, ye do well

John 12:46-48
I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Romans 14:4-6
Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? to his own master he standeth or falleth. Yea, he shall be holden up: for God is able to make him stand. One man esteemeth one day above another: another esteemeth every day [alike]. Let every man be fully persuaded in his own mind. He that regardeth the day, regardeth [it] unto the Lord; and he that regardeth not the day, to the Lord he doth not regard [it]. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.

The word Sabbath is not a time sensitive word. It means "rest" with no other meaning added. It does not mean Saturday, Sunday or any day to include the phrase end of the week

The word keep as it is used in the bible .is to gard closely. No man can keep the commandment without stumbling in the least .Violate on a person is found guilty of the whole.

Two kinds of Sabbath to keep .One as a ceremonial law a shadow of the good thing to come our eternal rest in the new heavens and earth as a fast . And the other our daily by the moment any time we mix the faith of Christ that comes from hearing God and not harden our hearts .

Let us therefore fear, lest, a promise being left us of entering into his rest, any of you should seem to come short of it.Hebrew 4:1

A promise being left us of entering into his rest. Not entering Sunday or Saturday ,

For unto us was the gospel preached, as well as unto them: but the word preached did not profit them, not being mixed with faith in them that heard it.Hebrew 4:2

Not being mixed with faith that alone comes from hearing God the gospel of our salvation

For we which have believed do enter into rest, as he said, As I have sworn in my wrath, if they shall enter into my rest: although the works were finished from the foundation of the world. For he spake in a certain place of the seventh day on this wise, And God did rest the seventh day from all his works. And in this place again, If they shall enter into my rest.Hebrew 4:3-5

If they shall enter into my rest. Again not time sensitive

Seeing therefore it remaineth that some must enter therein, and they to whom it was first preached entered not in because of unbelief: Again, he limiteth a certain day, saying in David, To day, after so long a time; as it is said, To day if ye will hear his voice, harden not your hearts.Hebrew 4:6-7

Why wait until Saturday or Sunday with a hard heart? The fast day when we can go out into the word with the gospel, doing the will of God as he works in the believer to both will and perform His good pleasure .The true fast

I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world.
Man has already been judged by the Word's of God. Jesus didn't change the judgment.

John 3:19 And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.

Notice is the deeds of man that is judged unjust here, and not the Laws of God as todays Mainstream Preachers imply.

20 For every one that doeth evil (23 For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.) hateth the light, neither cometh to the light, lest his deeds should be reproved.

Jer. 19:9 The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked: who can know it?
10 I the LORD search the heart, I try the reins, even to give every man according to his ways, and according to the fruit of his doings.

The judgment has already been made, it's just that most men don't "believe". Jesus wants men to accept this truth and "repent", turn to God and bring forth works worthy of repentance.

Luke 13:3 I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.

But religious men don't believe they are wicked, they reject God's judgment of them. They believe as the serpent deceived Eve, that "they are saved". Jesus tries to expose their deceit to them.

John 8:41 Ye do the deeds of your father. Then said they to him, We be not born of fornication; we have one Father, even God.
42 Jesus said unto them, If God were your Father, ye would love me: for I proceeded forth and came from God; neither came I of myself, but he sent me.

He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.

Romans 14:4-6
Who art thou that judgest another man's servant? (the judgment has already been made) to his own master he standeth or falleth. He that eateth, eateth to the Lord, for he giveth God thanks; and he that eateth not, to the Lord he eateth not, and giveth God thanks.[/QUOTE]

The heart of man is wicked, why would I build religious doctrine around what this man said, or that man said. It is God and His Words which define righteousness and Holy, and wickedness and evil, not religious man.

Let every man be convinced in his own mind who to trust and who to listen to. For God is able to able to teach those who trust in Him.
