The Ten commandments GO all the way back to creation , If they had not went all the way Cain wouldn't have sinned , With out the Law There is no sin ,The BIBLE tells US .
Actually, the Bible tells us exactly the opposite, though I suspect you're thinking only of the second half of this verse...

Romans 5:13 To be sure, sin was in the world before the law was given, but sin is not charged against anyone’s account where there is no law. (NIV)

I think you should think . And the LORD said unto Cain, Why art thou wroth ? and why is thy countenance fallen ? If thou doest well , shall thou not be accepted ? and if thou doest not well , sin lieth at the door . The BIBLE tells us their is no sin Without the LAW , So you have miss under stood what your looking at, ANd makes GOD a lier to . GOD be with YOU as HE sees FIT.

I've quoted directly relevant Scripture that clearly refutes your statement. The verse you quoted does not refute the Scripture that I've presented. Unless you can show where "the BIBLE tells us their (sic) is no sin Without the LAW", your assertion has no merit.

Cain didn't have the ten commandments. He had whatever law it was to him that God gave, that he broke in his sacrifice. We are not told exactly what that law was, but it was some kind of sacrificial system. There is no sacrificial system in the ten commandments. God gave Moses the ten commandments that was a long time after Kane.

Romans 4:15 Because the law worketh wrath; for where no law is , there is no transgression,
Romans5:15 for until the law sin was in the world ;but sin is not inputed when there is no law .

Romans 4:15 says the same thing as the second half of 5:13; it does not contradict the first half.

God said Because that Abraham obeyed my voice , and kept my charge , my commandments, my statutes , and my laws ,
Abraham was 400 years before moses ,THEY HAD THE COMMANDMENTS AND LAWS . GOD BE with you as HE sees fit

THE BIBLE NEVER CONTRADICTS IT SELF . WE see it wrong if that's happening .
Why are you yelling at me as though I said something different? For that matter, why are you yelling at all?

Yes the Ten. And Moses did not give the Ten God did.
Yes, I agree that God gave the ten commandments, I believe I also said that in post #1,095.

It would seem very strange to me if Jesus was telling the man to keep just the ten commandments and disregard the rest of the commandments that God gave through Moses to the Israelites in the wilderness.

I do Not know what you are saying .
Hi bud62,

I wrote to the user named Wall

Why do you feel it's the ten commandments being referred to in that scripture?
The scripture being referred to is revelation 22:14.

Is it only the ten commandments being referred to there? Or is it a different set of commandments? Or possibly following the commandments in a more general sense, like this verse talks about

John 8: 31. Jesus therefore said to those Jews who had believed him, "If you remain in my word, then you are truly my disciples.

The early Christians should have seen this coming. How did they miss this? They were actually givin many warnings about the bad guys and what they would do. The warnings are all around the new testament.

1 PETER 5 [8] Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil, as a ROARING LION, walketh about, SEEKING WHOM HE MAY DEVOUR:

ROARING LIONS! The bad guys

MATT.7 [14] Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.[15] Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheep's clothing, but inwardly they are RAVENING WOLVES.

FALSE PROPHETS! They are RAVENING WOLVES. “The many” will follow these false prophets and but a few will take the way of life.

ACTS 20 [29] For I know this, that after my departing shall grievous WOLVES ENTER IN among you, not sparing the flock.[30] Also of your own selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things, TO DRAW AWAY DISCIPLES after them.

The GRIEVOUS WOLVES been hangin round from the beginning

EPH.4 [17] This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth WALK NOT AS OTHER GENTILES walk, in the VANITY of their mind,[18] Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:[19] Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all UNCLEANNESS with GREEDINESS.

All these warnings from the new testament are found in one scripture. “Day of the Lord” scriptures are not about ancient Israel. That day has not yet come. Day of the Lord scriptures do apply to christians (those who believe that Jesus came) and these scriptures will come to pass. To see what these ROARING LIONS and RAVENOUS WOLVES have done, simply read and believe the Word.

EZEK.22 [23] And the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,[24] Son of man, say unto her, Thou art the land that is not cleansed, nor rained upon in the day of indignation.[25] There is A CONSPIRACY OF HER PROPHETS in the midst thereof, like a ROARING LION {1Peter5v8} ravening the prey; THEY HAVE DEVOURED SOULS {1Peter5v8}; they have taken the treasure and precious things; they have made her many widows in the midst thereof.[26] HER PRIESTS HAVE VIOLATED MY LAW, and have profaned mine holy things: they have put no difference between the holy and profane, neither have they shewed difference between the UNCLEAN AND THE CLEAN {Eph.4v19}, and HAVE HID THEIR EYES FROM MY SABBATHS, and I am profaned among them.[27] Her princes in the midst thereof are like WOLVES RAVENING THE PREY {Matt.7v14}, to shed blood, and to destroy souls, to get DISHONEST GAIN {Eph.4v19}.[28] And her prophets have daubed them with untempered morter, SEEING VANITY {Eph.4v17}, and divining lies unto them, saying, Thus saith the Lord GOD, when the LORD hath not spoken

A conspiracy of the prophets. HID THEIR EYES FROM MY SABBATHS! They meant to do it and they sure did pull it off despite the warnings. Up until the printing press, bibles were pretty scarce but even if someone discovered the Ezek.22 scripture Im sure the powers that be would have silenced that someone. So how did these bad guys pull this off despite all the new covenant warnings?

Matthew 24:4-5 (KJV)
4 And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.
5 For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many.

“Day of the Lord” scriptures are not about ancient Israel.
This one appears to be about ancient Edom, and it looks to me like it's already been fulfilled.
Obadiah 1: 15. For the day of the
LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.

I disagree.

Obadiah 1: 1. The vision of Obadiah. Thus saith the Lord GOD concerning Edom; We have heard a rumour from the LORD, and an ambassador is sent among the heathen, Arise ye, and let us rise up against her in battle. 2. Behold, I have made thee small among the heathen: thou art greatly despised.

Obe is only seeing a vision

OBADIAH 1 [15] For the DAY OF THE LORD is near upon all THE HEATHEN: as thou hast done, it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head.

EZEK 39 [8] Behold, it is come, and it is done, saith the Lord GOD; this is the day whereof I have spoken.

This is the day. Does not say this is one of the days of the lord.

EZEKIEL 30 [1] The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, [2] Son of man, prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Howl ye, Woe worth the day! [3] For the day is near, even the DAY OF THE LORD is near, a cloudy day; it shall be the time of THE HEATHEN.

There truly is only one “Day of the Lord”. Like it or not.

I think Obadiah is seeing a vision and speaking the word of God.

Edom received its reward when it was overwhelmed by the neo Babylonian empire just as Judah was, thus fulfilling the prophecy.

Given the parallelism used by Hebrew Prophets, it's clearly the fulfillment of the day of the Lord from the first part of the verse.

There may be more than one fulfillment to the prophecy, as sometimes happens. This would mean more than one fulfillment to the day of the Lord, imo.
