a work is a work is a work.

Not of works lest any man should boast.

so it does not matter what types of works they are. if your doing them to be saved, your trying to save yourself. and not allow God to save you by grace through faith

I agree and will say the natural progression of works for salvation or to keep salvation leads to the heretical beliefs that one saves himself and man initiates faith like was posted by the deceived ones.....

All works are not created equal.
The word, 'believe' in scripture is not passive, but active.

Heb 11:4 By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh.
Heb 11:5 By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God.
Heb 11:6 But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.
Heb 11:7 By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith.
Heb 11:8 By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went.
Heb 11:9 By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise:

2. There is no such things as passive faith, it is non existant thus your point is mute.

Go trust in your works and the ability to save yourself.....I will not argue with someone who s not even born again and cannot even understand the basic principles of the oracles of Christ...Baptism is a work of righteousness and works do NOT SAVE and or CANNOT HELP ONE BE SAVED...I recommend going back to square A and start studying again.
Yet you cannot produce a single verse that says baptism does not save, I on the other hand can show you more than one that says baptism does save :

Mark 16:16 (KJV) He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned.

1 Peter 3:20-21 (KJV) [SUP]20 [/SUP] Which sometime were disobedient, when once the longsuffering of God waited in the days of Noah, while the ark was a preparing, wherein few, that is, eight souls were saved by water. [SUP]21 [/SUP] The like figure whereunto even baptism doth also now save us (not the putting away of the filth of the flesh, but the answer of a good conscience toward God,) by the resurrection of Jesus Christ:

NONE of these are indicative of spirit/soul salvation, but rather are the fruits of a person who is biblically saved by faith through grace....Abraham had faith BEFORE HE HAD CIRCUMCISION!

LOOK FLIPPER....all you are doing here is taking scripture out of context to teach your heretical watered down blood that cannot save or keep saved.....

Baptism is a picture, a work of righteousness, an act of obedience and cannot save or keep saved...if you trust in your baptism for salvation you will not make the gates of heaven.....!

Not to mention there have been numerous scriptures posted that clearly teach grace and faith void of works or baptism that you have rejected....

Matthew 7:21-23 ESV
“Not everyone who says to me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ will enter the kingdom of heaven, but the one who does the will of my Father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me, ‘Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name, and do many mighty works in your name?’ And then will I declare to them, ‘I never knew you; depart from me, you workers of lawlessness.’

Hebrews 6:4-6 ESV
For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt.

2 Peter 2:20-22 ESV
For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first. For it would have been better for them never to have known the way of righteousness than after knowing it to turn back from the holy commandment delivered to them. What the true proverb says has happened to them: “The dog returns to its own vomit, and the sow, after washing herself, returns to wallow in the mire.”

Ezekiel 18:24-26
ESV

But when a righteous person turns away from his righteousness and does injustice and does the same abominations that the wicked person does, shall he live? None of the righteous deeds that he has done shall be remembered; for the treachery of which he is guilty and the sin he has committed, for them he shall die. “Yet you say, ‘The way of the Lord is not just.’ Hear now, O house of Israel: Is my way not just? Is it not your ways that are not just? When a righteous person turns away from his righteousness and does injustice, he shall die for it; for the injustice that he has done he shall die.

Hebrews 10:26-28 ESV
For if we go on sinning deliberately after receiving the knowledge of the truth, there no longer remains a sacrifice for sins, but a fearful expectation of judgment, and a fury of fire that will consume the adversaries. Anyone who has set aside the law of Moses dies without mercy on the evidence of two or three witnesses.

1 John 2:3-4 ESV
And by this we know that we have come to know him, if we keep his commandments. Whoever says “I know him” but does not keep his commandments is a liar, and the truth is not in him,

Romans 2:6-8
ESV
He will render to each one according to his works: to those who by patience in well-doing seek for glory and honor and immortality, he will give eternal life; but for those who are self-seeking and do not obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, there will be wrath and fury.

Romans 11:22
ESV

Note then the kindness and the severity of God: severity toward those who have fallen, but God's kindness to you, provided you continue in his kindness. Otherwise you too will be cut off.

Hebrews 6:4-6
[SUP]4 [/SUP]For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost, [SUP]5 [/SUP]And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come, [SUP]6 [/SUP]If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

Revelation 2:4-7 ESV
But I have this against you, that you have abandoned the love you had at first. Remember therefore from where you have fallen; repent, and do the works you did at first. If not, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from its place, unless you repent. Yet this you have: you hate the works of the Nicolaitans, which I also hate. He who has an ear, let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers I will grant to eat of the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God.’

Revelation 3:1-6
ESV

“And to the angel of the church in Sardis write: ‘The words of him who has the seven spirits of God and the seven stars. “‘I know your works. You have the reputation of being alive, but you are dead. Wake up, and strengthen what remains and is about to die, for I have not found your works complete in the sight of my God. Remember, then, what you received and heard. Keep it, and repent. If you will not wake up, I will come like a thief, and you will not know at what hour I will come against you. Yet you have still a few names in Sardis, people who have not soiled their garments, and they will walk with me in white, for they are worthy. The one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments, and I will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my Father and before his angels.

2 Peter 1:9-10
ESV

For whoever lacks these qualities is so nearsighted that he is blind, having forgotten that he was cleansed from his former sins. Therefore, brothers, be all the more diligent to make your calling and election sure, for if you practice these qualities you will never fall.

Luke 6:46
ESV

“Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you?

Galatians 5:4
ESV

You are severed from Christ, you who would be justified by the law; you have fallen away from grace.

Ephesians 2:10
ESV

For we are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.

Revelation 22:19
ESV

And if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.

Colossians 1:23
ESV

If indeed you continue in the faith, stable and steadfast, not shifting from the hope of the gospel that you heard, which has been proclaimed in all creation under heaven, and of which I, Paul, became a minister.

How many of these will you cry against? How can you not see? How can you refuse these? I'll tell you how: with excuses & accusations. All you will do is post & tell how wrong I am & try against all odds to make me look wrong. But you won't have a leg to stand on. Who (besides EG) will believe you now?

Are you gonna keep ignoring the Word? Or are you gonna deal with this? You're on the carpet in front of everyone.

None of those have anything to do with saving us as salvation is by faith through grace....You can continue to post scriptures out of context to prove you works for salvation and they will still be out of context and wrong.....

IN THE GRACE YOU ARE HAVING BEEN SAVED OUT OF FAITH and that NOT OF YOURSELVES IT IS THE GIFT OF GOD AND NOT OF WORKS LEST ANY MAN SHOULD BOAST....

JESUS+WORKS for salvation or to keep salvation=HELL/LAKE OF FIRE as it is a gospel of a DIFFERENT KIND and has NO POWER TO SAVE and is double CURSED to HELL!

Ah, here we go again, the old "taking out of context" excuse when you have nothing else to add, except a rant.

Mat 6:14 For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will also forgive you:
Mat 6:15 But if ye forgive not men their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses.
Is forgiving someone considered a work? What would happen to a child of God if they refuse to forgive someone of a trespass and they die with that unforgiveness? Will God let them in heaven?

yes.

Jesus was showing how all men are sinful and unworthy of heaven.
We are no longer viewed by our own righteousness, but by Christ's.
Our sin is washed in the Blood.

He was speaking to people who didn't (yet) believe in Him as Savior and Lord.
For the Believers, 'nothing ever could separate us now'.

That does not mean that we are free to not forgive. We forgive out of the forgiveness we've been shown, not out of fear of hell, but out of love: the love He first showed us

There is no way for anyone to completely comply with any law enough to get them into heaven.
