I personal have not lost my salvation, and I plan on never losing it. That however does not say that some can or have not lost it do to their actions as shown by Jesus in Matthew 25 ( the scripture of the scene in front of the judgment seat ). Which is why I teach how one should walk as Jesus and the apostles did. With the encouragement of what Jesus did for us to be forgiven and that if you should ever fall away you can repent and come back. This was taught in the early church for 1500 years.
So...what does it take to loose one's salvation and again I ask how many times have you lost it.....if you say never, then that means you have walked 100% consistent and according to the word of God and without any sin right?

Do you believe the Bible?

if you believe you shall be saved

problem your JEsuit definition of BELIEVE will kill you

the devils believe and tremble and they WILL not be saved
the devils confessed JEsus was the Lord
and they will not be saved

so what is wrong with your
devilish philosophy

the devils did exactly what you said

they believe and the confessed and they wILL not be saved

you are wrong

Your philosphy is the Jesuit false gospel that has been infiltrated into all the churches for the last seventy years to change protestentism back to catholicism

the Bible discounts you

Mat 5:19 Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
Mat 5:20 For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

you have to DO them by grace

you are saved by faith and then you have to CONTINUE in grace

the continue message has been eliminated by JEsuit liars and infiltraters

are you JEsuit?
if not you just got hpnotized by them and dont know it.
You know..it is you that practices Catholic doctrine as you preach works for salvation and that you can loose your salvation....

Go ahead and keep on believing something that the bible doesn't teach and see how far your works get you in the day of judgment!

Let me repeat what I just said in another post on this forum:

Salvation means freedom from the discipline of the Lord. When we repent of our sin, there is no further need for the Lord to discipline us.
Did David repent of his adultery with Bathsheba and murder of Uriah? YES he did....was there still a physical price to pay? Yes there was as in...

1. Death of firstborn son
2. Sword in his house all the days of his life
3. Physical ailments as evidenced by the Psalms and tied to the above listed sin.

I agree with the principle of what you posted and yet sometimes the result of particular sins are felt throughout the rest of our lives and possibly for centuries and even for thousands of years such as Abraham's attempt to HELP God fulfill God's will which results in Hagar and Ishmael....His hand is still against everybody!

This is what you have failed to show in all of your posts. Christ's work was for mankind, the world. He saved the world from death and sin. It is His Work that makes your personal salvation possible. You are so far from understanding scripture, even as many times in this entire thread you have no understanding between what Christ did for the world, and what man's response to that Gift. Yes, you are required to believe that Christ saved you and all men from death and sin. But that faith justifies one, puts one into a correct relationship. Justification is NOT salvation.

Simply believing is no different than the faith/belief of Satan. He clearly understands that he has lost the battle, and will lose the war as well.

John 3:16 has conditions attached to that belief. It does not convey faith/only, nor salvation finitely attained at belief. As I stated before, you may know Greek, but knowing Greek does not help in understanding the theology of scripture, which is quite obvious.
I never claimed to know Greek. The Church knew Greek in the beginning and universally for 900 years, yet nothing, theologically that you have been espousing has ever been taught or even spoken of prior to the Reformation.
Historically, your idea of instant salvation is actually based on Anselms theory of atonement. But it was both Luther who adopted it within his own particular interpretation along with the "faith only" theory. Calvin also adopted the Anselmian theory but addedd the "penal" aspect to it, but never believed in faith only because for him it was predestined. Faith was really just a trigger, but did nothing for man, or by man.
Consequently, all protestant denominations have acquired many variations of these teachings along with another, Original Sin. These are all historical facts that are working against your view.
I have read you reply above and you have missed the mark on everything I have posted and you have got to be out of your mind to believe your theology trumps the MEANING OF THE WORDS AND TENSES OF THE VERB THAT GOD INSPIRED MEN TO WRITE....

Faith COMETH by HEARING AND HEARING BY THE WORD OF GOD not your twisted heretical theology of works to keep salvation.....

And beside this, giving all diligence, add to your faith virtue;
and to virtue knowledge;
And to knowledge temperance;
and to temperance patience;
and to patience godliness;
And to godliness brotherly kindness;
and to brotherly kindness charity.
For if these things be in you, and abound, they make you that ye shall neither be barren nor unfruitful in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ.

(2 Peter 1:5-8)

how to be fruitful in the spirit?
it starts with faith.. it doesn't end there.

Excellent scriptures that have to do with Christian maturity and growth, but absolutely NOTHING to do with eternal salvation and justification that has been found in Christ Jesus by FAITH.

Amen! From beginning (have been saved through faith - Ephesians 2:8) to end (end of your faith--the salvation of your souls - 1 Peter 1:9) salvation is through faith and is not by works. Faith is the root and good works are the fruit of salvation.

AMEN and so true.....

1 Thessalonians 5:7-9

King James Version (KJV)

[SUP]7 [/SUP]For they that sleep sleep in the night; and they that be drunken are drunken in the night.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]But let us, who are of the day, be sober, putting on the breastplate of faith and love; and for an helmet, the hope of salvation.

[SUP]9 [/SUP]For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ,

Faith
Hebrews 11:1-2

King James Version (KJV)

11 Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
[SUP]2 [/SUP]For by it the elders obtained a good report.

Hebrews 11:1-2

New International Version (NIV)
Faith in Action

11 Now faith is confidence in what we hope for[SUP](A)[/SUP] and assurance about what we do not see.[SUP](B)[/SUP] [SUP]2 [/SUP]This is what the ancients were commended for.[SUP](C)[/SUP]

Love
John 15:9-11

King James Version (KJV)

[SUP]9 [/SUP]As the Father hath loved me, so have I loved you: continue ye in my love.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]If ye keep my commandments, ye shall abide in my love; even as I have kept my Father's commandments, and abide in his love.

[SUP]11 [/SUP]These things have I spoken unto you, that my joy might remain in you, and that your joy might be full.

Hope
1 Peter 1
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;

more hope

Romans 8:24-25

King James Version (KJV)

[SUP]24 [/SUP]For we are saved by hope: but hope that is seen is not hope: for what a man seeth, why doth he yet hope for?
[SUP]25 [/SUP]But if we hope for that we see not, then do we with patience wait for it.
All excellent scriptures given to people who were already saved and secure in Christ and the faith of Christ.....

anglican church and presbyterians all think they are saved

Mat 7:21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.
Mat 7:22 Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?
Mat 7:23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that break my commandments.

ooops

they didnt sanctify and repent
put away sin

read your Bible
from John the baptist till revelation

those who put away sins and walk and follow JEsus will be the faithfull

the word faithful makes no sense in context of mere profession of faith and living in sin

We must live with the consequences of our sins, but the consequences don't last forever. After the Lord disciplines us for a sin, he forgives us. If you stop sinning, there will come a day that you no longer have to fear the Lord's discipline. That is why the Lord commanded us to stop sinning. He wanted us to be happy.

You're a "faith only" guy right? How much faith do you have? Is it enough ? How do you know it is enough ? You see how silly a question like that is?

... faith of a mustard seed is enough. Faith is either present or absent.

Even a bit of Kool-Aid powder turns water into Kool-Aid.
Adding more doesn't make it any more Kool-Aid than it already was.

Stronger taste? yes.
And that is our desire: to please God, because of what He has done for us.
Good works come with the Spirit,
the Spirit doesn't stick around just because of good works.

It feels like our effort, but it is of spirit, not of flesh.
If you are working for your salvation, you are not in the right attitude, and not working in the right spirit.

The right attitude for works is out of love.
