I don't address just you but speak in general to any OSAS person who may read it.

Where have I declared to know who is and who will?

osas doctrine will not save you ,neither will not believing in osas doctrine.Leaning on Christ and obeying Him will save you, enough said. You and watchmen seem to indicate that osas christians arent christians at all but are hypocriticall ,grace abusing, heretics. You are judging every christian based on their doctrinal stance which is different than yours and while I am sure that you have experienced problems in osas church ,I have experienced just as many problems in churches that preach of losing salvation.Hypocrisy and selfish living knows no bounds and ultimately when the day comes to an end ,it is the individuals choice to follow God or not. While your doctrine may encourage you to move forward obeying Gods law and walking in a way that pleases God someone else may be brought to the exact same journey who believes osas doctrine.I know that my dad is a heavy osas believer but also know that he has been a faithful follower of Christ for 40 years and although my dad isnt perfect ,I do know that he obeys the ten commandments and all of Gods other laws that have been shown through scripture.I know plenty of osas christians who are just as sincere and devoted in their faith as you guys and although your motives may be right your understanding on things such as true followers are not entirely correct

exactly.

You and watchmen seem to indicate that osas christians arent christians at all but are hypocriticall ,grace abusing, heretics.
I think that's a good description actually of OSAS christians. Well particularly the ones who use oxymorons. like dead in sin = heaven. You can't follow Christ and be dead in sin at the same time that's rediculous.

You are judging every christian based on their doctrinal stance which is different than yours and while I am sure that you have experienced problems in osas church ,I have experienced just as many problems in churches that preach of losing salvation.
Besides, OSAS believers judge the others just as much.

Hypocrisy and selfish living knows no bounds and ultimately when the day comes to an end ,it is the individuals choice to follow God or not. While your doctrine may encourage you to move forward obeying Gods law and walking in a way that pleases God someone else may be brought to the exact same journey who believes osas doctrine.
So might mormons and jehovah's witnesses walk in a way which please God but that doesnt me an i have to accept their doctrine if it's wrong.

I know that my dad is a heavy osas believer but also know that he has been a faithful follower of Christ for 40 years and although my dad isnt perfect ,I do know that he obeys the ten commandments and all of Gods other laws that have been shown through scripture.I know plenty of osas christians who are just as sincere and devoted in their faith as you guys and although your motives may be right your understanding on things such as true followers are not entirely correct
When I believed in OSAS life was terribly confusing not to mention not being able to understand the majority of the old and new testament as you interpret everything down to a narrow "believed in your heart, saved forever" window of doctrine. I know OSAS believers who would encourage others in their sins also. Been there, done that.

what I am saying is despite doctrinal error on any given day, that will not determine if a christian truly follows God.Being there was a stumbling block for you but is not for another christian who is living in the same obedience to God

Oh its probably a stumbling block for others if and only if they tell a person living in sin or backslider that they are stll saved and dont worry about it.

That's why I said "if". I'm smart enough to know that generalisations are not always true, but thanks for stating the obvious.

Anyone with a solid foundation in scripture knows that the answer to this question isn't "either / or" but rather the answer you seek is BOTH.

When we recieve Christ as our Saviour we are both transformed and are continually being transformed by the ongoing work of the Holy Spirit. We immediately made anew, a brand new creature in Christ however, we will not be perfectly conformed into the image of Christ until Christ returns and we are transfigured into the complete image of the ressurected Christ.

For one to teach or profess "either / or" is in clear defiance of scripture. This is why it is crucial that the church, regardless of your doctrine concerning grace, embraces the teaching of "regeneration / sanctification". It is crucial not only for proper spiritual growthy but also if we are to properly disciple as the great commission demands of us. Then and only then we will see the many abuses of God's grace that plague the church today bein to dwindle, as new converts are taught a true biblical and spiritually mature perspective on grace, faith and how to abide in Christ walking in His Spirit on a daily basis.

Well there is a point.

In drycleaning you have 2 stages, cleaning and finishing.

First you clean the garment (now it is clean)

Then you have to dry, press and package the garment(this is finishing)

Phil 2:12 Therefore, my beloved, as ye have always obeyed, not only in my presence, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.

Phil 1:6 being confident of this very thing, that He who hath begun a good work in you will perform(finish) it until the Day of Jesus Christ.

It might be interesting to consider the parable about the master that hired some at the beginning of the day, some in the middle, some towards the end of the day. They all worked hard once hired ,and through out the day. But all recieved the same pay.
God bless, pickles
