Sinner Just thought I should respond to what you posted in the other forum (merryheart asked that it be moved to another salvation forum... so here it is)

I can say the exact same thing, no one has shown me Biblical clarity on this. I perceive the Bible as not confusing and fairly easy to understand, thats why I am so surprised that their are so many people that believe in eternal salvation.

I guess it is human nature to want it to be that easy, its like riding in an air condition car to the finnish of a marathon.
so are you saying what I think you are??? that because I believe in eternal salvation I no longer choose to please God and live by the flesh knowing that hey, I received Christ so I'm good to go? You can not be farther from the truth and if your own personal salvation is your ONLY reason for pleasing the Lord I sincerely think you need to review your stand on this. You've received the scripture showing the basis of the belief in eternal salvation take it or leave it. Personally though when I was born again and received the power of the HOLY SPIRIT there was no going back... He convicts me of my sin, I repent of it daily but if something should happen that i sinned unknowingly or unrepentantly because I didnt see it for the sin it was... well then... I suppose I am cruising in the lap of luxury in the lincoln with my Lord & Savior & the ac on just chillin till judgement day (the marathon is done) enjoying the blessings of airconditioning given to me by my Lord and Savior... Hope this doesnt make sence... lol! And thats pretty much all I gotta say about that.

What do you believe, eternal salvation, which means you can't commit enough sin to lose your salvation,
Or conditional salvation, meaning if you continue to constantly live in sin you can ultimetly lose your salvation.

Joh 5:24Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into CONDEMNATION; but is passed from death unto life.

1co 5:5To deliver such an one unto SATAN for the destruction of the flesh, that the spirit may be saved in the day of the Lord Jesus.

I for one am not ashame to say that I trust totally in the works of Christ, and not in myself to keep me saved like He promised. my vote is eternal salvation
