Since there's a difference between "hell" and the lake of fire/second death and presumably a time period in between and we have no idea what occurs during that transition for those already dead (who have no part in the millennial reign) it's impossible to say really with any certainty.

Second chance theology is shaky at best though (on par with Universalism) and it's always important to know why someone is asking. At least, I find that incredible progress can be gained by simply opening up the dialogue about a mental construction (imaginary or otherwise) and the reasoning behind its creation. Especially if someone trusts in the authority of scripture...it can go a long way.

Certain ideas knock around in our heads...that doesn't make them true just because they "seem" true or possible. I do think it's a good idea to get them out in the open.

There is a very small window for esoteric discussions on unlikely spiritual scenarios with most people I find but very rarely I do find that lending credence to a wild theory or at least "meeting it" can open the door to salvation. It's not something to really do nonchalantly though. There are exceptions to things sometimes and there is wiggle room (depending on the level of knowledge) but the Final judgement is real and NONE will be able to claim "they didn't know". I believe in the Lord's Justice, and that is something to take a HARD look at when dealing with questions we can't presume to know. Reinforcing the attributes of the Lord goes farther than telling someone their opinion on something in the future.

Now you are displaying your ignorance of the rule of culture in developing the meaning of philosophical/ theological words and phrases. Modern Bible scholars see the need to invoke Jewish backgrounds for interpretation, not because that background is divinely inspired, but because it determines the idioms, nuances, and figures of speech used by Jesus and the apostles.
The Bible is a closed book it is its own interpreter.

The spiritual understanding hid determines the idioms, nuances, and figures of speech as the word of God used by all who name the name of God. The unbelieving Jew that was used to represent the unbelieving world set up its own idioms, nuances, and figures of speech and saw no evil . like in Jerimiah below. They set up the shadows that gave rise to ceremonial law and made them into a substance that they must perform and can judge each other by .Like the sabbath shadow.

Why would we trust the flesh of any man?

As for the word that thou hast spoken unto us in the name of the Lord, we will not hearken unto thee. But we will certainly do whatsoever thing goeth forth out of our own mouth, to burn incense unto the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto her, as we have done, we, and our fathers, our kings, and our princes, in the cities of Judah, and in the streets of Jerusalem: for then had we plenty of victuals, and were well, and saw no evil. And you are forgetting what Jesus said: And [the learned men] said unto him, Hearest thou what these say? And Jesus saith unto them, Yea; have ye never read, Out of the mouth of babes and sucklings thou hast perfected praise? (Mt 21:16)

I will repeat it again. It is better to be ignorant of nonsense, than be ensnared in false doctrines. Purgatory is ABSOLUTE RUBBISH.

I would offer all the same kind of work' or labor do the will of another. His own labor not his own idea of the reward.
I have no idea what you are saying here.. I cannot make sence of it..

Yes some are given a greater position. The Son gave the father a greater position in their work. Jesus chose the lower.
The son gave the father a greater position ?? Where did the Son give the Father greter positon is scriptures?? I have never read anything stating that..

The last one to receive the reward for his work below in his jealousy demanded Jesus's attention. What did Jesus say.? You worked faster you deserve two pennies? or you worked longer you receive three?
Please quote scripture..

Every man receives his own reward according to his own labor. its what makes cents, or in this case... one cent = eternal life.
When it comes to works salvation is Not part of that reward.. Salvation comes from believing Jesus and trusting in His atonement it does not come as a result of our good works..

Matthew 20:12-14 King James Version (KJV)Saying, These last have wrought but one hour, and thou hast made them equal unto us, which have borne the burden and heat of the day. But he answered one of them, and said, Friend, I do thee no wrong: didst not thou agree with me for a penny? Take that thine is, and go thy way: I will give unto this last, even as unto thee.
This parable was about people coming to believe Jesus and trust in the atonement He secured for them at different times in their lives.. Those who believed early in life and lived their long lives get the same eternal outcome as those who come to believe Jesus in the last hour of their lives.. God stated that no one who has believed and walked with Christ all their lives should feel angered at someone who comes to believe at the end of their lives.. Both will recieve the sale.. Eternal life with God..

I think we should be careful that we do not give the work God is performing in us to both will and do his good pleasure the credit to us as a understanding that rises above it as it is written... That which performs the works.
Yes God gives us the ability to do the works we do.. But some respond to His moving more often while others less so.. How many times does one know thatthey should have done something but failed to do it? I doubt any believer has a perfect record in that area of their walk..

The faithless Jew performed that turning things upside down. .

thats not a judgment, thats the end result after a judgment. a judgment is when one is held accountable for their actions.
Judgement is Not just about condemnation.. People can be assesed ( judged ) to have done well and some judged to have done fair and some judged to have done little..
