Give me about 10 more minutes and I will be. :D
It is a real temptation. I have fallen several times, and had to answer to our Father for it. I try to listen to the Holy Spirit and His conviction, before I post in response, but sometimes I fail.

Well, we know where temptation comes from.

I know your trapped vw if you say yes...then we all go to hell
if you say no, then your a nut.

Thing is if you say maybe, you figure it out, if the shoe fits wear it. Thats
not a prophet. It would only be a preacher, with little "authority" as you all call it.
Does anyone else notice this tactic?

Remember how the scribes and Pharisees would question Jesus, trying to trap Him with words?

Now I am not Jesus, not even worthy to be called by His name, but why must this tactic be resorted to again?

Food for thought.

That was as clear as it could be. Listen to the Holy Spirit, that is all. If the Spirit does not convict you of a word from a prophet, then ignore it. Pretty simple, yes? But if it does convict you, then it is on your own head. That is it, period, the only answer you will get.

Are you a teacher? If so, then you should understand these things. It is the basis of being led by the Holy Spirit. Actually, if you are a child of God you should understand these things, and that you do not just shows the sorry state of the church today. Sound doctrines indeed. Vain imaginations instead, that leave the children of God helpless in the face of our enemy. Our power is from the Holy Spirit, along with our guidance and our conviction of the truth. Through Him out of our lives and we are helpless and defeated already.

It is very clear, to those who are spiritually minded.

how can one know if another hears God's voice or not?

Does God place one child above another to be judge and jury?

where is Jesus in this conversation? Is this conversation about Jesus at all?

You have a kind loving heart. Sad others find it as doing a service to God to be vehemently opposed to others who don't share their view, this is a forum after all, where we can share and learn, we don't have to eat what put before us.
I stayed away from cc few months and it just gets worse not better is what I see. Where's the love and grace that Jesus speaks of, bitter and sweet out of the same rock?? Doh

hi consumed.
i'm sorry for my part in it.

i really thought that we were supposed to pay careful attention to what men say about Jesus and His word (particularly in fellowship), comparing it to the Word.

i've taken seriously that imperitive about identifying those who causes divisions by bringing in teachings that are contrary to the doctrines we have received in the scriptures. Jesus and the apostles and disciples died bringing us the words we have. i thought we were supposed to defend them.

but maybe that doesn't apply to the internet.

anyways consumed....i'll no longer be opposing any false teachings whatsoever.
(which means i won't be here much, i reckon).
zone.

Exactly zone, stop being angry, love VW even though you think he is NOT a Prophet, at least for the love of Christ. VW stop hating zone too and stop starting threads to call her names indirectly, it's very annoying. Threads to attack people other than edify people shouldn't come from a *Prophet* I don't disbelieve you though, Not left for me to judge :)

VW has had a sign in his life which increased his faith. But he needs to realize that others need not believe him, but they need a sign in their own lives to break the religiousness of doctrine which is only one type of faith. Faith in miracles gives faith vitality

"...if these things (charisms and miracles) are meant to concern others besides the immediate eyewitnesses alone. they lose their validity as soon as related to others, because for the others who are not eyewitnesses the miracles become articles of faith. Instead of proving something they themselves need proving. Each (indiivudal or) age then needs the showing forth of the spirit and his power (to give their own life in the religion vitality)" (see Come, Creator Spirit by R. Cantalamessa.)
