This is not true that not listenning to a modern day prophet makes you hardhearted...haha..did a modern day
prophet tell you that?

Where did you get the idea, not listenning to a modern day prophet would make you unlearned in the word?
did a modern day prophet tell you that too? that was taken care of in 1John 2:27 and told to us by a Prophet,
a real prophet.

Asking again for more info on this statement.

Apparently not Ephesians 4:11, He taught there were still Apostles, and prophets, and in Romans in particular he taught one could be cut off. you believe neither of these truths
i'll get to Ephesians tomorrow.
i can't help it if you don't understand.

its quite astonishing though for one who has been so obedient he's reached perfection.

Why would a person be a wolf who doesnt believe in prophets and apostles AS they were as the first apostles and prophets?
The church is functioning by the Holyspirit. Just as explained in Eph. although differently since the capacity is different.
Also every prophet or apostle ive heard of is false and deadly. And people need warned and taught how to avoid them just like
John did in 1 John, telling them they had NO need to listen to any man to teach them because we are all anointed.
The apostle, prophets of our day function quietly. They are raised where they are needed, some not even knowing of it.

So heres the thing. People get mad at the socalled fighting. Zone says in reference to the emergent church/apostacy there are no more prophets
and apostles as in the time of the foundation of the early church. And there isnt because why would there be, the church is established. BUT
the new wave on the church does think they are here to give NEW revelation, and start a NEW foundation. And they have.

So its like this: zone has given good materials to expose this while others fight for it. Do you know what you are fighting? Are you part of the emergent
church? Make yourself clear and get yur head out yur rear. If not and you believe the Holyspirit inspires us then great, I believe that too. But coming around
and sticking up for a feeling or a belief of a grace the Lord gives without understanding the peripherals makes you endeavor very worthless and damaging.
You end up standing FOR the garbage that is being exposed. And if not than join the team, for the intent of what is said, not your halfunderstood
subjective presumptions.

This is what is shocking appalling to me, how we can take a simple message given to us by our Father in heaven dissect it into "it means this, do that, believe this" then say we are of one mind and accord. This is what happens when knowledge of is used instead of knowledge who and why Jesus came and died on the cross. Worst part is then be rude and insulting cause someone doesn't agree. All flesh trying to claim all spirit. I might not agree with alot of things doesn't mean I should become that which I'm taught not to become. Fruit of the spirit?? Love. Amazing there are so many revelations and insights into things that when shared get lost because of being loveless instead of loving. Iv been caught in that trap too and at times nearly fall back into it, how many times iv gone to post something and erased it by the simple fact I get convicted by it when I read it and see it's not love that's getting me to post my comments but my flesh. The gospel is the good news, I hate theology other than the truth about Jesus and Gods merciful love for us all.

it talks about the preaching that kills and how it is not just the message but also the heart of the messanger that can either plant seeds of life or seeds of death by their words and message. that it is the Holy Spirit that makes words have the power to bring a sinner from their fallen state to a state of grace, conviction, repentance, true faith and confession that Jesus is Lord and Savior who died on the cross and rose again and is now seated at the right hand of the Father in Heaven.

here is an excerpt that some of these threads remind me of:

"The preaching that kills may have insight and grasp of principles, may be scholarly and critical in taste, may have every minutia of the derivation and grammar of the letter, may be able to trim the letter into its perfect pattern, and illume it as Plato and Cicero may be illumined, may study it as a lawyer studies his text-books to form his brief or to defend his case, and yet be like a frost, a killing frost. Letter-preaching may be eloquent, enameled with poetry and rhetoric, sprinkled with prayer spiced with sensation, illumined by genius and yet these be but the massive or chaste, costly mountings, the rare and beautiful flowers which coffin the corpse. The preaching which kills may be without scholarship, unmarked by any freshness of thought or feeling, clothed in tasteless generalities or vapid specialties, with style irregular, slovenly, savoring neither of closet nor of study, graced neither by thought, expression, or prayer. Under such preaching how wide and utter the desolation! how profound the spiritual death!
This letter-preaching deals with the surface and shadow of things, and not the things themselves. It does not penetrate the inner part. It has no deep insight into, no strong grasp of, the hidden life of God’s Word. It is true to the outside, but the outside is the hull which must be broken and penetrated for the kernel. The letter may be dressed so as to attract and be fashionable, but the attraction is not toward God nor is the fashion for heaven. The failure is in the preacher. God has not made him. He has never been in the hands of God like clay in the hands of the potter. He has been busy about the sermon, its thought and finish, its drawing and impressive forces; but the deep things of God have never been sought, studied, fathomed, experienced by him. He has never stood before “the throne high and lifted up,” never heard the seraphim song, never seen the vision nor felt the rush of that awful holiness, and cried out in utter abandon and despair under the sense of weakness and guilt, and had his life renewed, his heart touched, purged, inflamed by the live coal from God’s altar. His ministry may draw people to him, to the Church, to the form and ceremony; but no true drawings to God, no sweet, holy, divine communion induced. The Church has been frescoed but not edified, pleased but not sanctified. Life is suppressed; a chill is on the summer air; the soil is baked. The city of our God becomes the city of the dead; the Church a graveyard, not an embattled army. Praise and prayer are stifled; worship is dead. The preacher and the preaching have helped sin, not holiness; peopled hell, not heaven." -EM Bounds

John 3:19
The [basis of the] judgment (indictment, the test by which men are judged, the ground for the sentence) lies in this: the Light has come into the world, and people have loved the darkness rather than and more than the Light, for their works (deeds) were evil.

I pray God helps you.
Linda:
are you saying cessationists are antichrist?

4runner said not listening to a modern day prophet makes one hardhearted and unlearned.

you agreed, and said the continuation of the office of prophet is written in the word.

i said only charismatics believe this, then you said

Point dead on right that's just what they are doing is denying the existence.
It's the word of God. Anyone who doesn't believe it is a antichrist.
so, are cessationists antichrist, Linda?

yes or no is fine.

My reply was to him. It was actually directed at everyone trying make the fact that the bible says there are prophets a lie.

All the scripture in the world doesn't help those who can't see Zone. You've seen the scriptures your just not a believer of the word of God. I can't help you there. But I will keep praying. I know the power of God and all is possible with him. I have great hope in God.

That is a good read, more of us should read this, but I'm sure self righteous I have the truth been illuminated kinda people will justify themselves and just disregard it as if it doesn't apply to them and just continue on their merry way. A good teacher never stops learning, learning that love is far deeper and wider that our puny little minds could ever comprehend. How deep is His love?? How shallow is ours
