The truth of Jesus Christ is not an offence against God; you are wrong.
Um. Settle down and read.

You wrote: An offence against another person is an offence against God.

That's what I was responding to. Jesus offended people all the time but He never offended God.

(and please: it's offenSe)

1 Peter 2:8 suggests otherwise. So does Matthew 11:6...blessed are those who are not offended in Me. Some people are offended by Christ. It's also the point of Matthew 10:34 and following.
Jesus Christ is not the offense; the People are the one offended.

People are offended by the truth. Sin is any offense which is against God; Jesus Christ is not against God and is therefore not an offense to God. :)(y)
I never said He is an offense to God. In fact, the opposite is true. We are all responding to your comment that offending others is necessarily a sin.
BTW, Jesus is the truth. So your initial statement is more correct than you know. But your overall premise concerning this is wrong.
I will admit it's a side point, but it's been your insistence on playing with syntax and your inability to receive truth that made it a point of contention.

Jesus is the Rock and Cornerstone.
As well as the Foundation. For other foundation can no man lay than that is laid, which is Jesus Christ (1 Cor 3:11).

How can all of this be possible at the same time? It can be possible because of who Christ is. He was the Rock of Offense only to His enemies. But He is the Rock of Ages to the children of God. He is the Rock of our Salvation.

I agree.

Now... do you mean that anytime a person perceives an offense, it is therefore actually an offense and therefore a sin?
We need an emoji that means insightful.

“And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat:

but of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭2:16-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me.

For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: but I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭7:21-23, 25‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“If thou doest well, shalt thou not be accepted? and if thou doest not well, sin lieth at the door. And unto thee shall be his desire, and thou shalt rule over him.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭4:

“But sin, taking occasion by the commandment, wrought in me all manner of concupiscence. For without the law sin was dead.

For I was alive without the law once: but when the commandment came, sin revived, and I died. And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.

For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.”
‭‭Romans‬ ‭7:8-11‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Early the Bible speaks of sin like with cain there as an entity active against man crouching in wait desiring to overcome man and enslave him

when the law comes it is defined in detailed actions it’s referred to as an action

“Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law.”
‭‭1 John‬ ‭3:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

later it’s described as a law that has rooted within mankinds members in our body of flesh like there in Roman’s

“bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members.

and even at other points we’re told out the circumstances vision of Chiat who’s removing our sins as in those offenses on record and that law within us and th at entity that pursues and seeks to kill us all aspect of sin can be overcome through Christ

But the Bible speaks of it many ways like it’s an entity or spirit , an enemy working against us , a law of corruption within us , a slave master at other points it’s described as , certain death also comes from it it’s also described as actions we participate in and perpetrate and commit

But my point is there’s a lot of different answers to the general question “what is sin ?” As there usually a lot of details to most any general question asked

The breaking of the 10 Commandments - clearly defined by the Bible.

1 John 3:4

God bless.
Um... that's not what 1 John 3:4 says. Nor is it what any other passage of Scripture says. Care to rethink it?

No need.

The Bible in its entirety makes it crystal clear. You've been taught wrong.

What Law is it that you believe Paul is a "keeper of" in Acts 21:24?

What Commandments of the Father do you believe Jesus was speaking of having kept in John 15:10?

Which Commandment is being kept by Jesus' followers in Luke 23:54-56? (New Testament/gospel)
