Yep, I agree. We have had issues with cougars, deer, oppossums, and like last night we had a raccoon on our porch.

By lukewarm, I mean people who ARE christian, but who might feel like their not doing enough for God, like not praying or reading the bible often, or not doing 100% of what they could do for God, especially if they are disabled or house-bound, like myself. I come on here and post bible verses, and share my personal struggles to encourage others going through the same, but I just feel like I could be doing so much more for God.. Posting verses and encouragement doesn't seem like it's enough to do for Him, but being almost entirely house-bound, what else can I do for him so I don't feel like an awful christian?
I don't think that being a lukewarm Christian means that you are disabled or not doing enough for Christ.... What if you were a Christian and quadriplegic? You would still be saved even if you didn't do anything because you are unable....However, accepting Jesus as your Savior and building a relationship with him even a quadriplegic could use their mouth and testify of the love of God.

A lukewarm Christian is someone sitting on the fence not deciding much of anything not far right or left......Jesus said he would vomit them out of his mouth.....wishing they were saved....hot or cold unsaved because at least there is a chance for the unsaved.....lukewarm think they are o.k. but they are not.....

The Spirit gives life; the flesh counts for nothing. Blue, you love Him, God judges the heart, for out of the overflow of the heart, the mouth speaks. I think you may be being too hard on yourself. You are doing what you can, are you not?

Yes, I am doing what I'm able to. It just doesn't feel like it's good enough though. There MUST be more I can do other than posting bible verses and praying for others and sharing my stories..
The thing we have to realize is Lady Blue that we will never be good enough all our good works are as filthy rags.....but we repent and accept Jesus as our Savior and then God looks at Jesus perfect life that is covering our filthy one....it is all about Jesus not about us and this is the good news that Jesus saves!!!! Ours is to build that relationship with Him and allow the Holy Spirit to live in our hearts and then out of love our hearts overflow and any good works we are doing are coming from the love God has given to us.... God has no tally of the good works we do because without Him we could do nothing.

You are?!
Not that it's a bad thing.

l just imagine you building solar panels out of tree bark and sand if you were to ever get bored.

You seem like a really active guy DCon, ....but you did stroll into the Speak thread?
Hmmm, ....maybe you can make a gun out of leaves and old car parts?

I'm going to a baby shower later. Yas? Yas. Lol
Lucky you, I love baby and bridal showers. I think what is more fun is planning them. I planned, decorated, and cooked for my sisters bridal shower a couple years ago. I hope you have a great time

people are fond of saying "i have free will - why would God create robots?"

but does God have free will? or do we make Him into a robot?

i don't know that people are quite as fond of looking at it from His perspective. i'm not, for sure - this only just occurred to me over the last week. at least, i haven't been so fond -- but i'm getting more and more fond of it the more i look at it!

It's Saturday, don't be too hard on yourself, DCon. Sometimes we need a day of being lazy so to speak.

I've felt this way before and am often looking for more ways to do for God. It's nice to see someone who wants to do more for God. Maybe it's me, but I feel like the fact that you even want to do more for God means you're probably not lukewarm. Lukewarmth, to me, at least implies some level of apathy.

I'm at home a lot. If you want suggestions of things to do for God while staying at home, I have a few I can PM you if you would like. :) Meanwhile, whatever you do, do it with your whole heart. As someone said earlier, God looks at the heart.

Quality over quantity.
