Well, it is finally afternoon here. The smoke is improving, if you would call going from 13/10 down to 10/10 an improvement. I'm beginning to feel claustrophobic, not being able to go out without my carbon filter mask.

Glad to hear that everyone is mostly ok. Praying for April, Frank!

And also thanks to me from Magenta for the great pics!

I am glad the air quality index is improving, Angela :) It was very noticeable here a month ago, and so strange to have all the smoke from the interior come all that distance to foul our air! Never seen anything like it in thirty eight years here...

That is handy, to be able to walk right outside like that. And be at work lol. Me, it takes me about three to five minutes to get outside, depending on how long the elevator takes to get to my floor after I call it. When I was moving in all those years ago, I met a couple that was moving out. I asked them why, and they said they did not like having to take an elevator to get outside. I can see that. Still, this is city living. People mostly cannot afford to buy any more; even a shack on a patch of land on the wrong side of the tracks will put you back over half a million :p

Do you drink coffee in the evening,
Frank?

It may be handy, but you can never leave work at work. I don't go down
to my office these days, everything is done out of our great room. If you
would put me in the city, you may as well go ahead and kill me, it sure
would. The land down this way, has become hard to come by. If you find
any, get ready to fork out some big bucks. I bought a little over 3,000
acres in 1980, I paid $1,800 per acre for it. That was a great deal back
then.

Naw, I drink 2 pots in the morning, no matter what time I get up.
From there I drink water, 1 glass of tea at lunch, 1 glass at dinner.
They have me drinking 350 ounces of water a day, that is one tuff
task. I don't make it, I drink about 320 ounces, that's all that I can
force down.

What a day is all I have to say... It could be worse, I guess... Not going to get into much detail until I know the outcome on some.

The upside is that I may have a few days completely to myself some time this week. Parents might go visit some relatives who live a bit far away for a few days and I'll be the one staying home and take care of the place and pets. I don't mind it and at least there will be some peace of mind.

Whoa that is a ton of water! I hope you are able to get some of the Traditional Medicinals Breathe Easy Tea, Frank; it makes such a big difference for me :) Plus, it is very tasty, especially if you like licorice ;)

Hmmm, this piece of 40 acre property in Neillsville WI is for sale at under $1,800 per acre.

I had some inheritance money when I was younger and should have invested in property (a home) then but I was way too unsettled and did not want the responsibility or to be tied down. Turns out I pretty much stayed put and have worked fairly steadily over the last four decades and only had three jobs since I was twenty one, all in the same industry. All my qualms were for naught.

Thank you little bit, praying all goes well with your
move. I'm glad the Tx trip went well, you seem to
be refreshed.
It was time to let go of my dad, he wanted to be 'home' so we let him free. I was told spreading his ashes would set my soul free, and it did! I am so full of joy and happiness now that we did that.. It's where my dad wanted to be all along... We were too selfish and didn't want to let him go. But we kept some of his ashes for our keepsake pendants and whatever else we decide to do with him... I still miss him and I always will... But I'm glad he's home now :)

That's a pretty piece of property, you could do wonders with it.
I keep telling my son to invest while he can, one day he won't
be able to. Depends on how much timber, and how many acres
it is, the timber may just about pay for the property. The timber
looks to be about 5 years from harvest time, they buy by the ton,
the logs has to be a certain size.

I've had 2 jobs, one a paramedic, the other a farmer. I would rather
be a farmer than anything else. You work hard, but the rewards are
out of this world. You get to see so much that you can't see in the
city. The city has crime, we have bears, coyotes, wolves, gators, foxes,
and all the other wildlife that's out there. Still would rather live here
than in the city.

I hope your son listens to you, Frank, because everything just keeps going up and up and up. Thirty years ago here you could buy a nice house in a reputable neighborhood for around 200k, now the same house would be worth three times as much if not MUCH more. The market has gone insane; property is selling above asking prices.

Hey, we have coyotes wandering the streets here. And skunks and raccoons, too. We really don't want to see any urban bears or big cats, though it does happen from time to time. Just not where I live. But the coyotes! Oh, man, when they get to singing and howling, it is really something. Maybe ten years ago I did not hear them so much. This spring I heard their kits getting in on the action, and a couple of years ago early one morning I saw two adolescents playing hide and seek around a couple of big trees in the park that forms part of my view. It was really something to witness :) Gators, huh? Yikes.

thanks!! I love taking selfies and playing with my camera filters.. It's so fun lol :)
I had a little Nikon digital camera last year; I wasn't using it much, but decided I wanted some pictures of my hair, Yeah. My hair. I had it dyed, guess what color? LOL. So one Saturday morning I started taking pix of myself, then went to my daughter's as per the usual routine, but it was selfie here and selfie there and selfie selfie everywhere. My daughter at one point said, "I don't know what's going on!" It was so funny, the tone of her voice; she was truly perplexed at her mother's behavior. The last picture I took was in the bathroom mirror, and then a message came up on the display: Your battery is exhausted. We laughed and laughed about that. I took almost three hundred shots that day, well over two hundred of them were selfies. Never before and probably never again! :)

Well, time to say good evening friends. Sleep well.

My thought for the evening.

Some of our greatest blessings,
come with patience.

Goodnight everyone.
