our son had a cross tattooed across where (one assumes?) his heart it.
he got it after his stroke at 19.

shouldn't it be across where (one assumes) his brain is??

So, apparently my mom's roommate is worried about her. She doesn't think I took the money. Apparently my mom has been lying to her about finances for months, and even borrowed a few grand from her roommate's parents that live across the street. She says all she does is watch TV and apparently is getting really fat. I haven't noticed anything. Then again I have been having my own problems and have been trying to fix things in my life. I know my mom has isolated herself from everyone in her family but me. And she doesn't have any friends. She stopped going to church and I'm guessing doesn't talk with her sponsor from Celebrate Recovery anymore, who was also her best friend. Her roommate wants me to try and talk to her, and see what is going through her mind. I know a few months ago my mom wanted to pack up and move to Texas to live with her aunt, but said she wouldn't do it if I didn't want to. Obviously, I said I didn't. So I'm going to try and see what's going on with her. I ask for prayers and that if there is something wrong, whether she is suffering from depression. Or she has relapsed and went back to pain pills and drinking. That God can deliver her through it.

That Texas idea sounds promising. I would say that your mom is definitely depressed. Prayers for you and your mom.

what a kid! :)

he seems to be okay...it was an arterio-venus malformation that ruptured causing massive
intracranial hemorrhage...

the neurosurgeon said if he went 5 years w/o another occurrence, he was in the clear.
that was 2 years ago! :)

I found the shape of pi. :)

lol, mine is on my knuckle....I was on this National Guard blow up obstacle course race thing. I ended up being accidentally pushed off headfirst onto the cement....so my senior year of highschool I ended up getting a pi shaped scar.
It looked similar to this...just the hill part was higher and I had so much speed going down it when the person I was racing lost his balance and pushed me off accidentally.

She won't move there unless if I would too, though. Which kinda doesn't make sense to me. I would think a person would do what's best for them. Not do what's best for them only if the other person agrees to join in. I don't think she will tell me much, though. There's a reason why she has isolated herself from almost everyone in her life.

lol, I don't plan on it....The only reason I did this was because the National Guard brought it to the tech school to let the different classes have competitions....I got injured on all of the competitions....then I refused to go see the doctor even though I probably had a concussion because I had a Spanish test back at the normal school....I think the Law Enforcement class won....and I got a perfect score on the test, so everything is ok, right? :p

is your mom a Christian?
Yeah. She was arrested for doctor shopping about ten years ago. Agreed to go to drug court. Separated from my step dad and started going to church and went to AA and Celebrate Recovery. Over time, though, she had been evicted from the two homes she tried living on her own. Overtime she stopped going to church and AA and Celebrate Recovery, and keeping in touch with her sponsor and friends from church. I don't know when exactly this happened, as I had been at university from fall 2011 to last May. And have virtually spent the past 11 months trying to get my life moving. It seems overtime she has fallen away from Christ. Whether it's because of my sister's alcoholism and isolation from everyone, and the fact she can't see her grandson. Or maybe she has relapsed. I don't know. I know when I was a kid, my mom and step dad would fight all the time because they were both addicted. And my mom would always steal money for pills and such. This is the first I've heard of her stealing again.

There was a blonde who found herself sitting next to a lawyer on an airplane.
The lawyer just kept bugging the blonde wanting her to play a game of intelligence.
Finally, the lawyer offered her 10 to 1 odds, and said every time the blonde could not answer one of his questions, she owed him $5, but every time he could not answer hers, he’d give her $50.
The lawyer figured he could not lose, and the blonde reluctantly accepted.
The lawyer first asked, “What is the distance between the Earth and the nearest star?”
Without saying a word the blonde handed him $5, then the blonde asked, “What goes up a hill with 3 legs and comes back down the hill with 4 legs?”Well, the lawyer looked puzzled.
He took several hours, looking up everything he could on his laptop and even placing numerous air-to-ground phone calls trying to find the answer.
Finally, angry and frustrated, he gave up and paid the blonde $50The blonde put the $50 into her purse without comment, but the lawyer insisted,
“What is the answer to your question?”
Without saying a word, the blonde handed him $5.
