I am sorry to hear that :( It must have been very difficult for you and your lovely wife to keep hearing of such reports... Islam gives you two choices: forced submission or death. Sadly many will still say that Islam is a religion of peace, and call anyone who talks about what Islam REALLY teaches, a hateful bigoted fear mongering racist.

When I hear of heaven, I think of Revelation 4 and 5. It's enough to bring me to tears. It may not be "heaven", but in describing New Jerusalem I love what Ch 21 says:

Revelation 21:4
He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

Revelation 21:23
And the city has no need of sun or moon to shine on it, for the glory of God gives it light, and its lamp is the Lamb.

How awesome is that!

just before 21:4..21:3 "And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God.

I like this one from that chapter, I think it shows that Gods desire has been to be with us, as in the days of eden
