hi GRA
i looked at your chart.
brother, you have so much done!
amazing.

i can't agree with the order of things in the chart.
but i'm impressed nonetheless, for sure.
wish i could make charts.

the trouble for me is, i don't think we can successfully make a linear arrangement of things which are not listed in a linear chronology.

the prophesies, for example, in Revelation use grammatical devices such as the polysyndeton 'AND'....
the AND signifies we are possibly changing 'scenes' in the visions, or at the very least that much more is included than is "listed".

Polysyndeton
A rhetorical term for a sentence style that employs many coordinating conjunctions (the opposite of asyndeton). Adjective: polysyndetic.

"Despite their formidable names, polysyndeton and asyndeton are nothing more than different ways of handling a list or a series. Polysyndeton places a conjunction (and, or) after every term in the list (except, of course, the last). Asyndeton uses no conjunctions and separates the terms of the list with commas. Both differ from the conventional treatment of lists and series, which is to use only commas between all items except the last two, these being joined by a conjunction (with or without a comma--it is optional)."
(Thomas S. Kane, The New Oxford Guide to Writing. Oxford University Press, 1988)

~

here's what i mean.
if i wish to write to my Cousin about a dream i had which was a series of images with an overall message, i might do it something like this:

First (thing i remember in the beginning of my dream) was that i saw _______, and then I saw _____, and ______, and then _____, and _______, and then i saw ____, and i heard ____, etc.

just because i list the things "I saw" in my dream in an order such as above, does not mean the dream was sequential in terms of linear-time events (i.e.; First, in order in time, i saw; then the next thing that happened (in chronological-time order) was; then after that this happened; followed by such-and-such).

since my dream is a series of images and sounds (not always in chronological sequence), i might actually be trying to express my dream something more like this:

"Hi Cousin Jane - I had a dream last night about that summer we spent at Auntie Anne's, the summer our Uncle got sick, and i realized something important about the family in general i wanted to share with you":

First in my dream:
i looked....and we were kids in the hayloft playing....
and i saw...
then i saw....
and then i looked....
and i saw....
and....
and i heard....
and i saw....
then i saw....

~

that prolly made no sense whatsoever GRA:confused::eek:
maybe i need an exter coffee.
want one? large w'shot of espresso.

man, why doesn't Tim's automatically put the cozy on the cup anymore???
like....a paper cup isn't uber-hot???

EXACTLY!!!

It makes perfect sense...

I could have written your post...

(with a few differences in our views)

We are far more "in agreement" than you realize... :cool:

("Now I bet you are really confused...") :D

However, there ARE things we can know from the scriptures - based on "the grammar of the language"...

"Keep looking..." :)

I have attached to this post copies of the actual 'html' and 'css' files used to build the chart for this study. The original names of the files:

Order_Of_Events.html
GRA.css

I renamed 'GRA.css' to 'GRA.txt' so that it could be attached. After downloading it, you should rename it back to 'GRA.css'.

Place the 'css' file one directory above the 'html' file -- or -- edit the 'html' file and remove '../' from the '@import' line at the top of the file.

Then, open / view the 'html' file with your browser.

:)

My 'official stance' on this will be "I refuse to believe it!" until you actually outline and compare the passages... especially 'seal #5'...

Dan 10:4 But thou, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal up the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
Dan. 12:8 And I heard, but I understood not: then said I ,O my Lord, what shall be the end of these things? And he said, go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed and sealed up till the time of the end.

IMHO, the problem with this forum is that everyone wants to debate everything, but nobody wants to learn anything. <wry smile>
What you say is unfortunately too often true - but, you are the worst example of it I have seen on here yet...

Any person who has the gall to blunder into someone else's thread and make a statement that essentially says:

"Nothing to see here folks. Nothing can be learned from this thread - because it is not my thread. Nothing here is worth reading or considering - because it is not my material. If you want to learn anything, you must go to my website and read my material - because my material is the only material worth reading, or that can be learned from. No other person's thread may be learned from. No other person's material has any worth whatsoever. It is that simple. So - you just need to realize that 'I know it all and have it all figured out' (and cannot and need not learn any more, because 'I know it all and have it all figured out') - and just ignore this completely - and, instead, go to my website and read the only material that is worth reading or considering - or that can possibly be helpful to anyone - or that can possibly have the slightest amount of truth in it at all..."

-- and, not even consider the material they have to offer - but, just trample their thread, spit in their face, and leave a pile of something that stinks and then make an exit...

<wry smile> = "pompous and puffed up"

You are the epitome of 'proud and arrogant'.

"I have no respect whatsoever for people like you."

There is a BIG difference in the way I present my material and the way you present yours:

GRA: "Here is some material you may find helpful. Please feel free to consider it along with whatever else you are studying. Be sure to 'prove' the material against the Word of God. I do not want you to believe it just because I do. I just want you to 'think'! I want you to 'do the hard work' - because, it is the only way you will come to a proper conclusion. I want you to 'get it' from the Holy Spirit - not from me. And, I want to see if anyone else reaches the same conclusion."

i.e. - "please help me to 'sharpen my iron' - and yours too!" :cool:

Therapon: "The only material you should ever read is my material. You are a fool if you even think about considering anyone else's material. I have already 'proved' my material against the Word of God - so, you can just take my word for it and believe what I tell you. I have already 'done the hard work' - and, my conclusions cannot be wrong."

i.e. - "my iron is so sharp that it cannot be sharpened any more - your iron is dull, as I can see it from here..." :rolleyes:

If you will pay very close attention, you will discover that my material is 99% Bible verses (the charts, with everything else being mostly 'explanation') - arranged in such a way that a person who is serious about learning something from it may discover and determine what these verses say, and how they are related.

I have noticed that nobody seems to be interested in my conclusions.

I have noticed that nobody seems to have any answers to my questions.

By the way...

I read your 'Study Guide' file. Some truth. A LOT OF ERROR. Especially the stuff that seemed to be "force-fitted with slight-of-hand"...

I do not have anything against you personally - only, I have lost respect for you because of your haughty attitude.

I disagree. I do not believe that Matthew 24 "lists" the seven 'seals' of Revelation. Certainly, there are [partial] "overlaps" from an 'event' perspective. However, in defining / descriptive terms, I believe that they are different.

The trumpet events are not part of God's wrath.

'7 vials' = "Wrath of God"

The central idea of this study is to be concerned only with the order of events:

"What
occurs before what?"
"What
occurs after what?"
"What occurs at the same time as what?"

And, of course:

"What descriptions of events are the same event based on the wording, details, and depiction represented in the context of the descriptions?"

The table reads like a timeline - but with no dates - only the order of events.

You just may discover that - when you divest yourself of the 'timestamps' - many things start becoming "a whole lot clearer"...

:)
Each column in the table represents some period of time.

All scripture in that column is referring to something that occurs in that time frame. The 'sense and tense' of the verse is taken into consideration.

Because of the 'order of events' nature of this study -- the time frame for a column does not necessarily begin at the exact point as the end of the time frame of the column to its left. The only assumed certainty is that it occurs after the column to its left.

Events that occur across the time frames of multiple columns are placed in the table as "wide open boxes" to indicate the full time frame of the event(s) the verses are describing. Partial verses are placed to indicate the time frame that each partial verse is being associated with.

The different rows are used simply to accommodate the alignment of passages of scripture which overlap in the order of events time frames - many of which describe a series of events across multiple time frames.

:)

[SIZE=+1]The order of end time events was given by Christ in Mark 13. He gives the 7 identical seals in Revelation, in mark 13. They aline.[/SIZE]
I don't see the alignment. Can you walk me through it vs. by vs? Show me which seal aligns with which verse in Mark. Thanks so much.

I see a big alignment between Joel and the 6th seal, the 200 million man army. If this is the same battle, the 200 million would appear to be super natural and could be the saints.

2 Blow the trumpet in Zion,
And sound an alarm in My holy mountain!
Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble;
For the day of the Lord is coming,
For it is at hand:
[SUP]2 [/SUP]A day of darkness and gloominess,
A day of clouds and thick darkness,
Like the morning clouds spread over the mountains.

A people come, great and strong,
The like of whom has never been;
Nor will there ever be any such after them,
Even for many successive generations.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]A fire devours before them,
And behind them a flame burns
;
The land is like the Garden of Eden before them,
And behind them a desolate wilderness;
Surely nothing shall escape them.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Their appearance is like the appearance of horses;
And like swift steeds, so they run.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]With a noise like chariots
Over mountaintops they leap,
Like the noise of a flaming fire that devours the stubble,
Like a strong people set in battle array.

[SUP]6 [/SUP]Before them the people writhe in pain;
All faces are drained of color.[SUP][a][/SUP]
[SUP]7 [/SUP]They run like mighty men,
They climb the wall like men of war;
Every one marches in formation,
And they do not break ranks.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]They do not push one another;
Every one marches in his own column.[SUP][b][/SUP]
Though they lunge between the weapons,
They are not cut down.[SUP][c][/SUP]
[SUP]9 [/SUP]They run to and fro in the city,
They run on the wall;
They climb into the houses,
They enter at the windows like a thief.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]The earth quakes before them,
The heavens tremble;
The sun and moon grow dark,
And the stars diminish their brightness.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]The Lord gives voice before His army,
For His camp is very great;
For strong is the One who executes His word.
For the day of the Lord is great and very terrible;
Who can endure it?

From Rev 9.

[SUP]13 [/SUP]Then the sixth angel sounded: And I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, [SUP]14 [/SUP]saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” [SUP]15 [/SUP]So the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released to kill a third of mankind. [SUP]16 [/SUP]Now the number of the army of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them. [SUP]17 [/SUP]And thus I saw the horses in the vision: those who sat on them had breastplates of fiery red, hyacinth blue, and sulfur yellow; and the heads of the horses were like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths came fire, smoke, and brimstone. [SUP]18 [/SUP]By these three plagues a third of mankind was killed—by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which came out of their mouths. [SUP]19 [/SUP]For their power[SUP][a][/SUP] is in their mouth and in their tails; for their tails are like serpents, having heads; and with them they do harm.
