The context of Revelation - and that of the Olivet Discourse also - covers a span of ~2000 years - the span of time between the First Coming of Christ and Second Coming of Christ.

It is neither a short period circa 70 A.D. nor a short period in our future.
So Jesus has to return by or in 2030 and then we will be in the millennium?

The promise is real - but it was not made to the current nation of Israel - which was founded on-and-by illicit means by people who were not real Israelites. It is not 'true Israel' from a biblical point of view. It is a nation, yes. It is 'valid' in modern-day world terms. However, it is not "the real thing" from a biblical prophecy perspective. It is a 'false' Israel.

After He returns, Jesus [Himself] will "raise up" the 'true Israel' (as a nation) and give them the land according to the promise - during the Millenium - but, not before.
I'm wondering why you don't view them as the [valley of] "dry bones," but without (yet) the "breath" breathed into them... when they are still saying, "Our bones are DRIED, and OUR HOPE is lost: we are CUT OFF for our parts." Ezek37:11 (that is, before the "breath" is blown into them, as in v.8 ["but there was no breath in them"], v.10 ["and the breath came into them"], as well as v.5 ["I will cause breath to enter into you, and ye shall live"]... seemingly corresponding to v.14 ["and shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live..."]).

IOW, they exist as a specific entity PRIOR TO the breath being breathed into them [and I do not believe THAT part occurs at His Second Coming to the earth point in time, which point will be TOO LATE.]

[I believe the passage about "the least of these My brethren" (Matt25:40,45) is speaking specifically about the BELIEVING remnant of Israel during that future time-period preceding Christ's RETURN to the earth]

Ezekiel 37:

12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves, and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. 13 And ye shall know that I am the LORD, when I have opened your graves, O my people, and brought you up out of your graves, 14 And shall put my spirit in you, and ye shall live, and I shall place you in your own land: then shall ye know that I the LORD have spoken it, and performed it, saith the LORD.

The tilde indicates 'approximate(ly)' with a rounded number for simplicity - it was not intended to be exact.
I'm not trying to accuse you of choosing a date. Let me rephrase...Christ's return is in the next 10-20 years?

Sorry - I did not realize that was what you were saying. I simply thought you misunderstood what I was saying and wanted clarification.

Yes - I am inclined to think that there is a very high probability that Christ will return in 2030.

Are you suggesting that the 'Revelation of Christ Jesus' is not capable of "speaking to" anything that could possibly occur beyond the current 'generation'?
'current' = "at the time it was written"

And if He doesn't come then or close to that time then what does that mean?

Th
It means that there are still yet many to be saved... ;)
I can assure you already that is so. We are nowhere close to a number that no man can number.

There is a Nostradamus prediction that puts the return of Christ in 2063 (IIRC). Of course, I don't give Nostradamus nearly as much credence as the Bible... :)

That's a good thing. I place 0 credence in Nostradamus.
How do you suppose the kingdoms of this world become the kingdoms of our God and of His Christ?

Christ returns and makes His rightful claim to everything...

Revelation 11:

15 And the seventh angel sounded; and there were great voices in heaven, saying, The kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ; and he shall reign for ever and ever.

I would argue that He already came and set up His eternal kingdom as per Daniel 2. And since that time has been doing over time what you believe comes instantly.
Do you believe God set up His eternal kingdom during the Roman empire? Does Daniel 2 teach that? If not, what does it teach?

I believe this to be the last indication of people being saved before Christ returns:

Revelation 11:

13 And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted, and gave glory to the God of heaven.
