maybe you don't even realize it, so perhaps it may help to point it out. or maybe you'll just snap at me. at any rate, worth a try:

Your methodology is old school. I love old school.

This site is more "progressive",kind, laid back, philosophical types.

Should you start a thread on anything concerning the power of God,or the gifts,or the baptism of the HS,or as you found out,fire and brimstone evangelizing,(not that it is bad),you will get their worst every time.

You can work around it,ignore it,or escalate a fight.

The other option would be to "experiment",or see if you can make them oppose the word.

You are being drawn into "going personal" and it is working for them.

They know how to tag team you and insult you INDIRECTLY. The hoped for reaction is for you to DIRECTLY GO PERSONAL. "against" them. (read my thread "BAPTIST BIBLE POLL",AND OBSERVE THE REAL VENOM. Then ask yourself "why were demonised attacks against popeye allowed") The last 2 or three were reported,and ZERO was done about it...........just sayin. see, some are called to plant, some to water, some to prune, some to pull weeds, some to fertilize, some to scare away crows and thieves.
and some aren't even directly involved in agriculture, but make the tools that the workers use, while others help prepare and serve the food the workers eat, and still others give them shelter and tend to them when they have thorns in their hands or blisters on their feet from working the fields. if everyone was busy doing any single job, the economy would not function

That is what is actually going on.

It really isn't about that for me. What it's about for me is that I grew up hearing the same things from family and people in the church I grew up in. Nearly to a T. The thing is that I knew them as they really were. They were clanging cymbals and banging gongs.

am i being venomous? i'm trying to help.
do you disagree that showing yourself to be kind is the way to convince others that you are kind?
or that showing yourself to be rude is the way to convince them that you are rude?

if you really think it's necessary, i can spend a few minutes digging through your post history and presenting a wall of quotes of you being unkind towards others. but what good would that do? just stir up animosity in many hearts. i doubt it's needed anyway; everything we say can be seen by everyone here; none of it is hidden. the truth is already out.

let's you and me both constantly remind ourselves to treat others with love and honor.

Thank you for that. I appreciate your kindly pointing out to me what is going on here. I really do but I already figured that out weeks ago. They dont have the power to eject me. This site is fair. They dont adhere to clicks. They dont serve the clicks only.
I see the inuendos and the insults. I posted this thread with a message to the church .Those who it offends naturally attack because it is their flesh they serve.

i've been thinking for about half a year about starting a thread concerning "clique or family?"

there were a couple false prophets making the rounds here many months ago, who were accusing everyone of having a 'gang mentality' -- but it seemed plainly evident to me that this was a false description. they hadn't spent enough time on the forum to realize it, but the two of them were actually uniting some people who often quarreled with each other over theological points -- people who regularly argued faith/works, predestination/free-will, baptismal regeneration etc. were on both sides agreed that this couple were following a false spirit. in a way, this was God turning what was meant for evil for our good, i believe

so it got me thinking about how that when we are united in Christ as one body and one family with one Father, it appears from one perspective as 'cliquish' or as though we really are 'ganging up' -- but from within, in another perspective, it is apparent that we are united in the truth.

hey, there probably are cliques here, no doubt. but when a number of believers are all saying the same thing, we can't just jump to that conclusion. it may very well be that they are all agreeing because they all recognize the truth and spiritual reality of what's happening. that it is One Spirit working and speaking through all of them.

Yup....we both love Jesus and we treat each other with respect. We don't run each other over with our personal pride. From my perspective and interactions with you on here, you have always been kind in your disagreement with me.....and as far as I am concerned, kindness is a tell tale sign of a true believer. Pushy, mean spirited dialogue is a sign of fear. I have no reason to be wary of you, because you hear me and you don't put yourself out there as one who is "sitting at the right hand of Jesus".
