I'm really sitting here trying to think the best of you. I think you have passion about the subject. My experience in life is different than yours and my relationship with Jesus is also different than yours. If your requirement and or expectation of me is for my experience with God to be like yours and for me to interact with the world based on your narrow view of scripture then it is probably best that we don't interact with each other....at least on this subject. You say I have a fear of it but the truth is that I don't allow people to bully me...religiously, emotionally or otherwise. And to be honest, you're kind of a bully.

Would you like me to dig and find where you said you dont have the courage?

Everybody's heard about Jesus. What people haven't seen much of is Christians actually living the life that they they're trying to convert other people to.
Actually that is a big lie! People everywhere are not aware of the GOSPEL. They may have heard of Jesus but they havent heard the why, what, where, and how. They have not heard the gospel.

If it will make you feel better about yourself...have at it.
Dont talk out of both sides of you mouth. Let your nay be your nay and your yea be your yea.

Yonah there is such a thing as not obeying the leading of the Holy Spirit. There are umpteen times that God wants people to open their mouths and talk about the hope in Jesus. They dont and they wont because they are afraid of losing a "friend" or they are afraid of the rejection and persecution that comes from it.
I am aware of this MsSuzanna but we or anyone else cannot force them, we all must make a choice to walk in the Spirit without fear, so instead of trying to compel others, leave that to the Spirit, just do what you feel led to do, anyone who wants to be led by his spirit does NOT need to be pushed, and those that don't nothing you can say or do to compel them anyway

I remember a few years ago now, at work I walked up to two work mates and for some reason one of them turned and said, "Have you EVER heard Brendan swear?" The other shook his head and said, "Nah I haven't." Only one of them at the time knew I was a Christian because when I first started he showed me a pornographic picture on his phone and I told him how God had helped me with that addiction but it was still a weakness. I was able to tell them why I didn't swear.

Another instance a couple years back I was chosen to go on a work trip with managers and general managers, after a days work we would all go to a bar in our hotel, it was expenses paid so they surely took advantage of that. The first night we all sat down and asked if I wanted a beer or a bourbon and I said, "no, thanks I don't drink." They all asked why, and I told them.
I find I don't have to go out of my way much to witness the gospel to people, especially those immediate around me. I pray that I'm bolder as I have a great sense of fear and rejection but God strengthens and usually gives the right words. I've even had a Muslim at work ask me to pray for them..amazing! None of this is to boast, for I am the least capable, slow of speech and of tongue..very much so. I have no strength of my own to rely on regarding evangelism. But opportunities are certainly there, we just need to take them as they arise. We may not see salvations on the spot, but seeds are certainly planted as we speak and they see our conduct.
And there it is. A faithful man taking advantage of the opportunities GOD provides. That IMO is being a witness.

Why would you want to compel anyone to do anything? Thats like plopping their neck on a log and saying choose my way or die. So much love in that...isn't there?

I am not attempting to push anyone. This subject needs to come up and often.
The point is that they have been led to share the gospel and they quench the spirit. They refuse to do as Christ has asked of all of us.

My mission in life isn't to make you comfortable. Lol. I'd rather evangelize like I'm doing with bullies right now than snapping off a bruised reed and beating the bruised reed next to it with the aforementioned bruised reed. Lol

Why do you feel bruised? Let your conscience be your guide.

Lord knows you cant keep your mouth shut on thsi site but I guess that is where you draw the line.. Online. Meanwhile, there are lost souls wondering around that need to hear what hope they have in Christ!
But by all means, continue to fight and argue with grace777 till the cows come home. God isnt pleased about that! Its your flesh you are feeding. Good on ya
I'm really surprised that he's not here poo-pooing your works-based religion.

Do you even really understand what a disciple is? Because it ain't someone you just bash over the head on a street corner and then walk away.

Where is that written?

Not all members of the body have the same function. Not all are called to evangelize. It's just not in the bible. We are called to edify each other.
Being a witness is different than evangelizing. Evangelizing is preaching, Ive done that along with my family. Witnessing and sharing the gospel is different.
