The thing we have to remember is that not everyone we share the gospel with will accept it, but we are seed planters and the Holy Spirit is the one who convicts someone of sin so my upset Ebay customer must have had a nerve hit when they saw the pamphlet on Salvation. To me it says the Holy Spirit was doing His job the person just didn't like the subject matter. Or they have had a bad experience and tossed it, but they will remember someone tried to share with them when the time comes to anti up and face the music....My prayer is that their heart will soften and they will listen to the conviction that the Holy Spirit is talking to them about.

Without Me you can do nothing. John 15:5

I am the Vine, you are the branches. If you remain in Me and I in you, you will bear much fruit.

The 'church' is NOT abiding in Christ, but they are abiding in the 'traditions of men that make void the word of God.' Mark 7:13

A religious spirit cannot win souls. Much fruit can only be gained by obedience to the word of God. The organized church is disobedient to His word thus not abiding in Him.

The first church turned their little world upside for Christ. How? By tithing and sitting silent under Diotrephes? No. You know what I'm saying. Try to whip this old horse into action all you want to. Not gonna happen. Not gonna happen till the 'church' (body of Christ) lines up with the word of God. I don't think that's gonna happen either.

I wrote you privately because I did not want to embarrass you, since you seem to want to portray the "Hard Donkey" in front of others. But you chose to have me post the PM , in full, so everyone could see. If this is your wish, everything I want to say to you in the future will be right out in the open. That isn't the slightest problem for me.
You may as well keep showing others your arrogance. It doesnt bother me. I know who is behind your tongue. .You have no authority over me. I am not defined by your assumptions of me. Why would you embarrass me? Just the mere fact that you think you can tells me the spirit behind your words. You dont fool me.

I think she just goes around telling people they are going to hell.
You seem to get yourself in a bind when you think. Maybe you should let the spirit lead you into understanding about me.

Willie, Willie, Willie. What kind of trouble r u causing now? Here, I'll give you one. I say the 'church system' as we know it, is the enemy of the cross.

'Join in with one another in following my example, brothers, and carefully observe those who live according to the PATTERN WE SET FOR YOU. For as I have OFTEN told you before, and now declare even with tears, many (of the body of Christ) live as ENEMIES OF THE CROSS.
Their end is destruction, their God is their belly, and their glory is in their shame. Their minds are set on earthly things.'..Philippians 3:18
Now you can punch out on me Willey.

God Bless you.. But according to this thread, you should have gone to their door and hand delivered it to them. LOL
or now that you have their address, keep spamming them with tracts? ;)
this time maybe some about going to hell if they don't accept?

((by the way no. no. i am not suggesting that is a good strategy or even could be supported with scripture.))

i think that is a good thing you are doing.
sadly, people may talk about it like you are "ramming your religion down their throats" -- though no one ever forced them to pick up the tract. or to read it.

i think you are right, too, that this must have 'hit a nerve' with this person -- if it had not made a strong impression, they would never have mentioned it or much less resolved to shun you because of it. whether this is one step on the way towards this person relenting to the calling of the Lord in their life, or it rises up on that day to condemn them, we don't know. but even if they did not read it, and even if they didn't fully understand, in their heart they knew what it was, and they knew what it represented.
it's not you they reject, but the One that sent you - and the One who sent Him to all of us :)
i rejoice with you, that even in such a small way, you've been found worthy to suffer for His sake!

my oldest nephew shared a story with us last night at small groups.

on his college campus, a man was handing out those little bibles out to the students. my nephew got one, and as he was walking along, he was walking behind 2 other students. one had a bible and the other didn't. student said, "hey man. do you want [this bible?] i don't read this trash." the other student didn't want it, so it got thrown in the trash. my nephew admitted he got angry inside, so he called them out, "hey!!!"

both students turned around. the "thrower" said, "hey. aren't you [my nephew's name]?"

"... yes. but how do you know me?"

"man. everybody in this building knows who you are! you have the highest grades. the professors love you! tell me, man. how can i be more like you?"

that's when my nephew picked up the bible from the trash can. he shared a bible verse with them. he also said, "i do what my grandmother told me. 'pray and study.'"

as a result, the guy decided to keep the bible and start reading it.

there are divine appointments. Holy Spirit leads.

in some areas, maybe sharing tracts is more effective. and sometimes, what people call "friendship evangelism" is more effective.

Jesus said to make disciples not converts.

Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,
(Mat 28:19)

Who's 'Chesley Floyd'?
as mentioned in the OP.

So if a person is an introvert are they sinning? Is it a sin to not have a bold personality for the Lord? Because I fear some on here would say it is.
If a person is an introvert. NOT ONLY are they SINNING, they are going to HELLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL!!!!

If you are convinced that that the lost are going to HELL, you should have a fire in you to warn them!! Dont use excuses that you are introverted or this isnt your calling. Its no surprise that many of you do not bother. The churches you go to probably dont have a evangelism ministry either. Ive done my research on this. I pick the phone up and ask the pastors! Many didnt lie what I had to say back to them when they sheepishly tell me "no, we dont have a evangelism program but I know we should. Phft...
But they do have alot of social events where christians get together and socialize!
Why not get together and walk the streets and talk to people who are really lost?
Theres no way to sugar coat it. If you dont tell people of your hope in Christ and spread the gospel you are being disobedient.
There are many ways to evangelize, the old fashioned way of going out on the streets sharing the Gospel rarely has results - at least not in Britain and the preacher has on occasion been arrested when the unsaved feel convicted, take offence and report them to the nearest policeman. I am an introvert but do In think I'm going to Hell? Not on your life! Your condemnation is no more valid than my assurance!

I have found that work colleagues come to me and do the asking when they become curious about my faith and I have been told I am "different". I also do post stuff online where the unsaved can view it and consider it - I make myself available to questions BUT despite all this, it is my firm belief that until The Holy Spirit prompts me it is pointless taking it upon oneself, going out and speaking to the unsaved for they are not "ripe" to receive the word.

I find this post to be very strongly works based... It's not us that war.. It's the spirit in us.. Read galatians 5:22-26 about the way the spirit will work through us always love... Patience kindness longsuffeing. I agree with alot of what the post says but I disagree with the way it comes across... Salvation of souls is only through the Lord revealing himself to a person through a heart connection... Not the mind.. The holy spirit knows each person individually, we really can do more damage than good by "preaching" what we see to be the truth but without love.. 1 corinthians 13 speaks about how we sound without love.. Bless u all xx

The spirit already has exposed you as being someone who accuses me of believing a works-based gospel and while you here teach a works-based gospel.

No, Yet.... You just have some strange ideas. As far as I know, you do not go into stores with the intention of seeking out innocent people to belittle them, and then brag about doing it.

You mean that the words you type aren't the simple truth? We can go back to that post, and take it line-by-line if you like. That is all it took to shock me, thinking a Sister would actually do something like that.

That ain't much. You already know I have posted, right here on this forum, that I believe mainline Christianity is antichrist. And I don't mean JUST the institutionalized church, as you believe. I mean most of the body's thinking about Christ and His message.

We are more like Saul, than the "Paul" he became.
