It says "we have been buried with him through baptism into death" Okay, then anyone who baptizes is guilty of first degree murder! I am done with this discussion. You are clearly deluded.
Is it tough to believe what is written?
That baptism buries one into Christ's death. That God can be a man and a man be God. That a man can live inside a fish for days, that seas and rivers can part so people can walk on dry ground, that bread can be flesh and wine be blood. That one could raise up from the dead.

Apparently it is tough for you to believe what is written. Baptism is symbolic!

Thayts not what is written. There is no symbolic there. Not even implicated. The words "is" and "has" and "are" . are not symbolic language. Importing symbolism is just that, importing it to the text.

So you agree that baptism is literally murder?

He also said unless you come as one of the little children you may not enter the kingdom of heaven. Jesus didnt turn them away as his disciples attempted to do. Their parents brought them to Jesus and he accepted them.
Reading comprehension is truly an Art form. I stated that God DOES NOT hold children responsible for any acts. Not until a person reaches the age of accountability are they held responsible for their choices/actions.

Try to read with understanding. However, because He does not "send them away," does not mean they have been baptized with the Holy Spirit which is the ONE BAPTISM Scripture speaks of. The fact that He does not hold them accountable PROVES that the infant baptism by the Catholic Church is unBiblical! It serves no purpose!

At one point I thought anyone could understand the Bible, but the longer I am around Christians I realize that those who (allegedly, but only God knows) have the Holy Spirit don’t necessarily want to listen or know how to listen to Him.

The Bible isn’t a normal book. Yes some of the surface information can be understood by just reading the words on the pages, but if someone can’t or won’t listen to the Holy Spirit then they’ll never really be able to understand most of the Bible with any depth of understanding.

I know many people have probably heard this a million times and think they’re under some sort of blessing that makes them automatically understand the Bible, but with over 45,000 denominations and countless cults, that just isn’t the case.

Christians must choose to listen to the Holy Spirit everyday, but there are so many reasons why they don’t.

Today, if you’ll hear His voice, listen to the Holy Spirit.

The Holy Spirit will guide you, or try rather, but if you won’t follow and won’t listen to your Guide’s directions then you won’t be guided anywhere except by yourself or other influences.

John 16:23 LEB
But when he—the Spirit of truth—comes, he will guide you into all the truth. For he will not speak from himself, but whatever he hears he will speak, and he will proclaim to you the things to come.
God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
‭‭John‬ ‭4:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“Now when all the people were baptized, it came to pass, that Jesus also being baptized, and praying, the heaven was opened, and the Holy Ghost descended in a bodily shape like a dove upon him, and a voice came from heaven, which said, Thou art my beloved Son; in thee I am well pleased.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭3:21-22‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, Because he hath anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor; He hath sent me to heal the brokenhearted, to preach deliverance to the captives, And recovering of sight to the blind, To set at liberty them that are bruised, To preach the acceptable year of the Lord. And he began to say unto them, This day is this scripture fulfilled in your ears.”
‭‭Luke‬ ‭4:18-19, 21‬ ‭

It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life. Then Simon Peter answered him, Lord, to whom shall we go? thou hast the words of eternal life. And we believe and are sure that thou art that Christ, the Son of the living God.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:63, 68-69‬ ‭

Jesus answered and said unto him, If a man love me, he will keep my words: and my Father will love him, and we will come unto him, and make our abode with him.

He that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings: and the word which ye hear is not mine, but the Father's which sent me.

These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”
‭‭John‬ ‭14:23-26‬ ‭

“God is a spirit “

“It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:45‬ ‭

“Now the Lord is that Spirit: and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is liberty. But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord.”
‭‭2 Corinthians‬ ‭3:17-18‬ ‭

The Holy Spirit spoke the gospel , it was the first time in recorded history that God was in one Jesus spirit that lives in him and preached the gospel and promised it would be true forever. The Holy Spirit spoke eternal words and sent them to all for salvation he the spirit came from heaven

“For I came down from heaven, not to do mine own will, but the will of him that sent me.”
‭‭John‬ ‭6:38‬ ‭

and spoke his word clearly

“: he that cometh from heaven is above all. And what he hath seen and heard, that he testifieth; and no man receiveth his testimony.

He that hath received his testimony hath set to his seal that God is true. For he whom God hath sent speaketh the words of God: for God giveth not the Spirit by measure unto him.

The Father loveth the Son, and hath given all things into his hand. He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”
‭‭John‬ ‭3:31-36‬ ‭KJV‬‬

The Holy Spirit has come and spoken the truth

“Pilate therefore said unto him, Art thou a king then? Jesus answered, Thou sayest that I am a king. To this end was I born, and for this cause came I into the world, that I should bear witness unto the truth. Every one that is of the truth heareth my voice.”
‭‭John‬ ‭18:37‬ ‭

if we make the gospel our home in our study the Holy Spirit is teaching us through those words Jesus spoke it’s how we can understand the law , prophets and epistles by comin GB d going from what Jesus taught whe. He came those are the words of the holy spirit and they do indeed as Jesus claims quicken believers who hear them educate and edify teach and guide , rebuke and reprove they bless and promise and warn us all and say believe and be saved

A three year old is not mentally mature enough to distinguish between good and evil as it pertains to eternal salvation. God does not hold those not yet old enough to determine that they are living against the Word of God accountable.
I would not be so sure of that. What makes you a judge of such matters? I have experienced very young children having some evidence of the truth, and that was from listening to the preached word.

the classic "you need the Holy Spirit to believe as I do, if you don't believe as i do, you probably don't have the Holy Spirit"

basically, everyone claims wisdom from the Holy Spirit and it means absolutely nothing. what it really is, is different people interpret the bible differently, all claiming Holy Spirit as their opinion.
Nobody would glean any knowledge of the inspired scriptures, were it not by the revelation of the Holy Spirit., and we have to deny our own entelect before that happens.

Cuz I was lil n i don't get what did Jesus do for me so it's hard for me to love him
Suffer the little children to come unto me for such as these are the kingdom of Heaven.

Our intellectual ascent amounts to nothing. Think of how Jesus rebuked his disciples for trying to turn away the children. Those children didnt come of their own accord. Their parents brought them and Jesus accepted them and then blessed them.

At 3 you trusted what ever your mother and father and pastor taught you. You trusted all things and believed all things.

Trusting in our own intellect is folly. It leads to the idolatrous idea that we save ourself via understanding and knowledge that by our will power we can believe. This isnt true. Its a damnable lie. No one believes anything by force of their own will. Look at this very forum, people arguing against what the Bible literally says because they cant understand how or why God would defy what we call logic. Yet there it is in scripture. So they make lame attempts at explaining it away. This is what the will and intellect of man is good for; the rejection of God.

Now the fact of the matter is that you believe to this very day and have from your youth. Dont get drawn away by the philosophy of man.

Hello Femin,
There is no formula, but if you sincerely seek him, he will come to you. He will lead. It's not likely you will hear him audibly
Jesus said this:

9 “So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you. Seek, and you will find. Knock, and the door will be opened to you.
10 For everyone who asks receives, and the one who seeks finds, and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.
11 What father among you, if his son asks for a fish, will give him a snake instead of a fish?
12 Or if he asks for an egg, will give him a scorpion?
13 If you then, who are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will the heavenly Father
give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him?”

~Luke 11 (CSB)
Thank you ma'am

Hi FEMIN, welcome to Christian Chat.

Unfortunately, being a Catholic or a member of any other denomination, doesn't make anyone a Christian. Participating in a denomination's religious rites also does not make anyone a Christian.
Since Jesus' appearance and ministry here on earth, the Holy Spirit is poured out only on those that have faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. If you sincerely believe that He is the Son of God, and that He has sacrificed Himself as an offering to God for the appeasement of your sins, and commit your loyalty to Him, then you will be saved from the consequences of your sins, and added to God's family, the church. Also, you will be given the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. That's it, you don't have to do anything else. At least that's what happened to me, and I've heard others say that it happened to them that way too, whether they were baptised in water or not.
Oh ok sir thank you 😊😊
