Other Bible translations have translated this as "continue to sin". The idea is the their lives would not be characterized by sin. The idea that there is anyone that does not sin foolish and dangerous. It is not what the bible teaches. Sinless perfection is a distortion of the truth. No one is perfect but God alone.
AMEN...a continual lifestyle of sin is exactly what it describes....not occasionally failing and sinning.....

Amen! The NASB says - No one who is born of God "practices" sin (1 John 3:9). The idea of "practice" is to perform repeatedly or habitually and thus describes repetition or continuous action. The present tense describes the practice as habitual, as one's lifestyle or bent of life.

The devil has deceived people in many ways and with many false doctrines, and the heresy of sinless perfection in the flesh is one of them.

1 John 1:8 - "If we say that we have no sin, (PRESENT TENSE) we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. 9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 10 If we say that we have not sinned, (PAST TENSE) we make him a liar, and his word is not in us."
AMEN.......most fail to understand it indicates a continual lifestyle of sin........or they just reject it out of hand

So when does the born again stage take place?
Rom 1v4, and 'declared to be 'the Son of God with power, according to the spirit of holiness by the resurrection from the dead.
I know this applied to Jesus but will also apply to us when we are fully and permanently changed/redeemed....at the resurrection.

For some reason or another people seem to think I want them to tell me what they
think of me...and they think I will value it as the truth.

I wonder why they give themselves too much credit?
For some reason you think we value your opinion.

To folks new on CC;

I suspect Oceanblue is ‘Jack’.

This is probably his 5[SUP]th[/SUP] or 6[SUP]th[/SUP] iteration that I know of as he keeps getting banned.

His MO is to snare people in confusing word games..I suggest not indulging him.

I expect he will be banned in due course again.
He's not very good at his game. And in all seriousness, this guy's schizophrenic. I usually give him some leeway because of his illness but not with this thread.

Do you believe these verses teach sinless perfection and do you claim to live a sinless, without fault or defect, flawless, absolute perfect life (exactly as Jesus lived) 100% of the time?
I believe these verses reveal the Spirit of the born of God
to which exceed all boundaries and limitations of sinless perfection.

I have already stated I make no claims of myself.
For it is written...

John 7:18
He that speaketh of himself seeketh his own glory:
but he that seeketh his glory that sent him, the same is true,
and no unrighteousness is in him.

More than one.....more like about 50............

If we say that we have no sin we are deceived and the truth is not in us..
If we have sin and say we are born of God then we are deceived and the truth is not in us.

2 Corinthians 5:17
Therefore if any man be in Christ,
he is a new creature: old things are passed away;
behold, all things are become new.

All their past was gone.
Their past sins were as they had never sin.
For they have all been washed away by the blood of the Lamb of God.
For as a new creature a new beginning they were now sinless.

And born of God.

As it is written...

1 John 3:9
Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin;
for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin,
because he is born of God.

1 John 5:18
We know that whosoever is born of God sinneth not;
but he that is begotten of God keepeth himself,
and that wicked one toucheth him not.

Nice twist and addition to the word....good luck...Satan embellished the word as well.......
All truth comes from God. Even if Satan speaks it. You should refrain from speaking any lie.

By all means if you can prove any lie in anything I have said...go for it.

Many reject that it is the spirit that is born again an fits this bill in 1st John while being bound in a fallen body of sin that is not subject unto the word and will of God....

The SPIRITis indeed willing, BUT the FLESH IS WEAK!
Even the flesh of Jesus had to be perfected.

Luke 13:32
And he said unto them, Go ye, and tell that fox, Behold,
I cast out devils, and I do cures to day and to morrow,
and the third day I shall be perfected.

Did Adam ever have no sin?

So we both agree on Rev 21v27 there will be no ungodly people in the Kingdom of God.
There will be no one that is not born of water and of the Spirit. For it is written...

John
Chapter 3

5:Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee,
Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit,
he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.

The Bible also tells us we must be converted which describes the 'growing-process of the 'spirit-begotten Person. It's a fact we can not be instantly born upon hearing the Word of God Eph 1v13,14. but receive eternal life as a 'downpayment/deposit or promise....until we are fully redeemed....when ? see next post.
I suspect you are going to find out first hand if you the converted will enter into the Kingdom of God.
I know the born of God will enter into the Kingdom of God.

I do not have any expertise concerning the salvation of the converted.
So I will not comment and leave that to your own personal experience
to which you will know one way or the other sooner of later if you are correct.

There are many variations of how one can enter into the Kingdom of God.
Even among the Apostles in the bible. I am not going to comment one way or the other
of the validity of their own experiences with God.

But I can say that it is the truth that there is only one way
that I know of to enter into the Kingdom of God.

The is to be born of God.
