Am I to take this for what is said or am I missing your meaning here>? You Maybe show her mercy? Gods character is that He always shows mercy Just like you do right? as a Child of God. we are to see things thru His eyes, and act those things out in the demeanor God gives us which is changed from the original Man.

. And We can HOPE for the BEST in HIM?? You may have had another thought in your mind when you said that, but that, in and of itself, is not something his children do...For it is the Hope in us that is the basis of my belief. Saying you hope for the best in Him, is like saying you are not sure He is right. And that you are sure you are. Do you doubt Him is He the one of complete authority and understanding or are you? For I am not apart the the we you spoke of.

Did you have an agenda in those comments? as to throw your anger off on Christ, so He would take the wrath of your displeasure?..It came off to me that way, so I ask you to clarify so no misunderstandings are availed.

Proverbs 11:2.

When pride comes, then comes disgrace, but with humility, comes Wisdom.

Proverbs 16:2.

All a mans ways seem innocent to him, but motives are weighed by the Lord.

The Lord detests all the proud of heart be sure of this: they will not go unpunished.

When a mans ways are pleasing to the Lord, he makes even his enemies live at peace with him.
Leviticus 19:17-18

Elin, when I first joined CC I thought that you had some problems with understanding others. I took that all in stride, for I have always had a hard time communicating with you. Your verbiage was admirable, and I thought that you might have some things to share, and agree with you on. I was wrong in assuming that.

I finally put you on ignore because conversations with you always turned out to be a conflict. As the months have passed by, many others have seen how you really are because you have exposed yourself. I feel sorry for you for real. I don't know what your problem is, but when you said that the Strong's Concordance was pagan to refute what I posted, and then days later you said you were just kidding, that's when I gave up and put you on ignore.

Most of what you post is utterly superfluous, and unnecessary, and you have made an impression on many here in CC, but it isn't a positive one. If you could become humble enough to realize other people have substantial things to present, you might have a chance to get over whatever you have and begin to communicate as Christians are exhorted to do by God's Word. Ignorance is not a demeaning word, it just means not learned.
I always find it interesting when the knife of slander is preceded by a compliment to lighten the error in it. Justification is the sister of Judgement.

It was all you Elin from start to finish, all the ideas, notions, proposals, accusations, and then lies. I never said those things, never even implied or suggested those things, and I also didn't answer to your false "ideas, notions, and proposals," which you then tried to put on me. For shame Elin, for shame.
More of that self-righteous blaming so typical of those of your persuasion.

You made your own bed Elin, and now your going to lie in it. Enjoy! :)
More self-righteous justice. . .

And what bed would that be. . .please inform me that I may be appropriately shameful. . .

Here is InSpiritInTruth's post, I separated his points ...

Many believe the law itself is “the curse”

but scripture tells us Gods law is holy, just, and good in

Romans 7:12Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.”

So what was the curse?

The curse of the law came in by 2 ways,
the first is shown here in

Deuteronomy 27:26Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them.

And all the people shall
say, Amen.”

The first part of this curse
has to do with sin

as it is written in

Romans 7:10-11[SUP]“ [/SUP]And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death. For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.”

Again we see the law was ordained unto life,

but the curse came when man could not keep the law because of the weakness of his flesh and sin.

So who’s the bad guy here, the law, or sin?

If you answered sin then you would be correct. :)

Now for the second part of the curse, which is swearing to the oath.

It is written

Galatians 3:10 “For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse:
for it is written,

Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.

After Moses had read the law, all the blessings and the curses, the people then bound themselves to the oath by agreeing to keep everything that
was written in the law.

The word oath in Hebrew can also be defined and shown as the word curse in scripture.

And swearing to an oath can also be shown as binding ones soul to a curse as in

Nehemiah 10:29They clave to their brethren, their nobles,
and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God's law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the Lord our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes;”

And in

Daniel 9:11
Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.”

And here is where the curse came in by swearing themselves to the oath in

Numbers 30:2 “If a man vow a vow unto the Lord, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.”

And so being unable to perform the vow to God to keep the whole law, because of the weakness of the flesh and of sin, then the curses mentioned in the law were put into effect.

Which is why Jesus said

Matthew 5:33-37 “Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths: [SUP]34 [/SUP]But I say unto you, Swear not at all; neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:[SUP]35[/SUP]Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.[SUP]36 [/SUP]Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not make one hair white or black.[SUP]37 [/SUP]But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is more than these cometh of evil.”

And here again also in

James 5:12But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.”

(and lastly a couple of lines of his own advice)

And a word to the wise, if you ever have to go to court and are asked to forswear yourself to an oath, or any other vow or oath for that matter…don’t do it! Peace.

Good job, excellent connections. God bless.

The authority is not in you to rebuke, it is in the holiness of Christ and His Word. Our only task in using it is to reconcile people to himself. Wrapped in love.

Is this your position too? I agree 100% on the other verse. If you believe in both the same way I do why was my text even on the screen?

If we love our neighbor we are suppose to treat them as we would like in relation to God's Word. Passing opinions according to the way we like it minus the Word of God, might not always be prudent. Rebuking so that another will not suffer the consequence of sin is another story. Elin's intelligence could be put to good use if controversy was at a lesser rate than what she is involved in normally. This is clearly seen, and I also think about the visitors that read these discussions that go no where. There are others also that twist things up. Whether it's on purpose or not I don't know, but as my signature reads, so I try to live. Concerning your post that I quoted, I agree with the scripture, nevertheless we are not to judge according to what our natural eye visualize, and we are given the ability to discern and define it accordingly.

Judge not according to the appearance, but judge righteous judgment. John 7:24

As far as not having the authority to rebuke, Paul tells Timothy and I take that exhortation personally for myself also. Was I not gentle enough?

Them that sin rebuke before all, that others also may fear. 1 Timothy 5:20

Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all long suffering and doctrine.
2 Timothy 4:2

Thou shalt not hate thy brother (or sister) in thine heart: Leviticus 19:17a

The curse of the law came in by 2 ways,
the first is shown here in

Deuteronomy 27:26Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them.
That is, cursed be he that does not uphold all the words of the law by doing all of them.

And all the people shall
say, Amen.”

The first part of this curse
has to do with sin

as it is written in

Romans 7:10-11[SUP][/SUP]And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death. For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, deceived me, and by it slew me.”

but the curse came when man could not keep the law
because of the weakness of his flesh and sin.

So who’s the bad guy here, the law, or sin?

If you answered sin then you would be correct. :)
That would be the weakness of the flesh.

Not in this case, which was not an excrative oath (curse).

And swearing to an oath can also be shown as binding ones soul to a curse
Only if it is a self-maledictory oath, which it was at Sinai, but which many oaths were not.

And here is where the curse came in by swearing themselves to the oath
Yes, they swore a self-maledictory oath to bring a curse down on themselves if they did not keep the oath.
They did not swear an excrative oath (a curse) on anyone.

in Numbers 30:2 “If a man vow a vow unto the Lord, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedeth out of his mouth.”

And so being unable to perform the vow to God to keep the whole law, because of the weakness of the flesh and of sin, then the curses mentioned in the law were put into effect.
Yes, violation of their self-maleditroy oath invokes the curse contained in such an oath.

Which is why Jesus said
I disagree with this personal conclusion based on the above explanation of the meaning of oath and curse as it relates to Sinai.
All oaths are not excrative (curses).

I disagree with this application of Mt and Jas based on the above explanation, with which I disagree regarding the meaning of oath and curse as it relates to Sinai.

(and lastly a couple of lines of his own advice)

And a word to the wise, if you ever have to go to court and are asked to forswear yourself to an oath, or any other vow or oath for that matter…don’t do it!
I see this as a misunderstanding and, therefore, a misapplication of Mt and Jas,
based in a failure to distinguish between an excrative oath (curse)
and the self-maledictory oath made at Sinai.

Here is InSpiritInTruth's post, I separated his points ...

Many believe the law itself is “the curse”
(who cares many believe, lets just go with scripture InSpirit, get to...)but scripture (Atta boy...) tells us Gods law is holy, just, and good (where does it tell us this?)in Romans 7:12Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.” (I gotcha, Paul says so then)

So what was
the curse? (I dont know know, is it in scripture somewheres?)The curse of the law came in by 2 ways, (show me! I wanna know! where could it possibly show this??)the first is shown here in (Okay, 1 law, the curse in 2 ways) Deuteronomy 27:26 (cool, let me look....)

Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them. And all the people shall say , Amen.” (Hey thats the verse Paul shows too!)

The first part of
this curse has todo with sin (what?)as it is written in (oh goody I love these...)Romans 7:10-11[SUP]“ [/SUP]And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death. For sin, taking occasion by the commandment, (the commandment and sin! Yes!) deceived me, and by it slew me.” (oh my gosh! Paul did say that! Yes I see it, thanks!)

Again we see the law was ordained unto life,
(Yes! Paul sure said that!) but the curse came when man could not keep the law (why? Cause they were wimps? or no?) becauseof the weakness of his flesh and sin. (Thats what Romans 8:3 says yes!)

So who’s the bad guy here, the law,
or sin? (ummm...the law?)

If you
answered sin then you would be correct. :) (I was so wrong on that one, can I change my answer to Romans 7:5 for a door prize?)

Now for the second part of
the curse, (first part down, second part, okay I am ready)
which is swearing to the oath. (what? under a curse, and the law, even an oath?)It is written (where at?)

Galatians 3:10 “For as many as are of the works of the law
are under the curse: (Paul says, yes!! Cool....which is from where? please continue...) for it is written, (Oh good, I really got to be more patient...)Cursed is every one that continueth not in all things which are written in the book of the law to do them.(There it is! thank you! I thought you were pulling my leg)
After Moses had read the law, all the blessings and the curses, the people then bound themselves to the oath by agreeing to keep everything that was written in the law. (Duet 27:26 again, yes!)

(Yes! it says... Curse be...
And all the people shall say, Amen.” ) Got anything else?

The word
oath in Hebrew can also be defined and shown as the word curse in scripture. (Yes!! LOOK! I added the word definition numbers to the next verse both wordscurse H423 and oath is[SUP]H7621 [/SUP])
And swearing to an oath can also be shown as binding ones soul to a curse as in
(Pfft...where at??)

Nehemiah 10:29They clave to their brethren, their nobles,
and entered into (here?) a curse,[SUP]H423[/SUP]andinto an oath,[SUP]H7621[/SUP] (and here?) to walk in God's law, (here?) which was given by Moses the servant of God, (Yes Moses!) and to observe and do all the commandments of the Lord our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes;”

(
Yes! and again And all the people shall say, Amen.” )

(Got anything else?)

And in
(cool...)

Daniel 9:11
Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.” (Gotcha thanks a bunch!)And here is where the curse came in by swearing themselves to the oath in (Yeah, I was so wondering...)

Numbers 30:2 “If a man
vow a vow unto the Lord, or swear an oath to bind his soul with a bond; he shall not break his word, he shall do according to all that proceedethout ofhis mouth.”

(
Yes! its like that... And all the people shall say, Amen.” Yes!)

And so being unable to perform the vow to God to keep the whole law, (what? Really why?) because ofthe weakness of the flesh and of sin, then the curses mentioned in the law were put into effect.

(Whats with these folks? Something like this then??) For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good Ifind not.( ????)

Which is why Jesus said

Matthew 5:33-37 “Again, ye have heard that it hath been said by them of old time, Thou shalt not forswear thyself, but shalt perform unto the Lord thine oaths: [SUP]34 [/SUP]But I say unto you, Swear not at all;neither by heaven; for it is God's throne:[SUP]35[/SUP]Nor by the earth; for it is his footstool: neither by Jerusalem; for it is the city of the great King.[SUP]36 [/SUP]Neither shalt thou swear by thy head, because thou canst not makeone hair white or black.[SUP]37 [/SUP]But let your communication be, Yea, yea; Nay, nay: for whatsoever is morethan these cometh of evil.”

(Im not quite sure here though)
And here again also inJames 5:12But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.”

(Time to make dinner.. thanks!)
Oops wrong one!

So we're starting over again?

Many believe the law itself is “the curse”
but scripture tells us Gods law is holy, just, and good in

Romans 7:12Wherefore the law is holy, and the commandment holy, and just, and good.”

So what was the curse?

The curse of the law came in by 2 ways,
the first is shown here in Deuteronomy 27:26Cursed be he that confirmeth not all the words of this law to do them.
That is, cursed be he that does not uphold all the words of the law by doing all of them.

And all the people shall
say, Amen.”

The first part of this curse
has to do with sin

as it is written in Romans 7:10-11[SUP][/SUP]And the commandment, which was ordained to life, I found to be unto death.

That would be the weakness of the flesh.

Now for the second part of the curse, which is swearing to the oath.
It is written Galatians 3:10 “For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse: for it is written,

Not in this case, which was not an excrative oath (curse).

And swearing to an oath can also be shown as binding ones soul to a curse
Only if it is a self-maledictory oath, which it was at Sinai, but which many oaths were not.

as in Nehemiah 10:29They clave to their brethren, their nobles,
and entered into a curse, and into an oath, to walk in God's law, which was given by Moses the servant of God, and to observe and do all the commandments of the Lord our Lord, and his judgments and his statutes;”

And in Daniel 9:11
Yea, all Israel have transgressed thy law, even by departing, that they might not obey thy voice; therefore the curse is poured upon us, and the oath that is written in the law of Moses the servant of God, because we have sinned against him.”

Which is why Jesus said
I disagree with this personal conclusion based on the above explanation of the
meaning of oath and curse as it relates to Sinai.
All oaths are not excrative (curses).

And here again also in James 5:12But above all things, my brethren, swear not, neither by heaven, neither by the earth, neither by any other oath: but let your yea be yea; and your nay, nay; lest ye fall into condemnation.”
I disagree with this application of Mt and Jas based on the above explanation, with which
I disagree regarding the meaning of oath and curse as it relates to Sinai.

You quote scripture, but I am trying to connect what the scriptures mean to your texted message. I see separatism still and accusations, slander, and self-righteousness, not to mention a lack of compassion for the fact anyone hearing they are ignorant would think that to be hurtful.... And Judgement. So in response I quoted scripture and then you quoted me scripture back, that I don't disagree with at all. Unless taken out of context.

Maybe I am not asking the right question..."what do you think Righteous judgement means?" Personally....I know the text of the procedures, But from your own words. And...

Do you see any error in your text?

Gal. 5 And I, brethren, If I yet preach circumcision, why do I yet suffer persecution? Then is the offense of the cross ceased. 1 Cor For the preaching of the cross to them that perish foolishness: but unto us that are saved it is the power of God.
