Here is a Word of Truth for you
whomever you may be
that reads this
I have said on here
just for thee.

If you are not among them
who value and treasure
the salvation of God,
more than any of these.

You are going to be with these
on here who have believed
they have obtained
the salvation of God
for free
at the expense
of another.

Perhaps an analogy so we can tease out what we each think on this - someone buys you the most amazing house imaginable, and you are amazed and grateful for this free gift - you do not have to pay a cent. Would that gift change how you live? Would it, perhaps, make you act more favourably towards the other person as a result? And would you define that favourable response as paying for the house, or not?

That analogy doesn't make any sense. You received a free house and you didn't owe the person who gave it to you a single thing. Whether you felt inclined or not is an entirely different story.

It is free however you look at it. I don't pay with my life to receive eternal life. I voluntarily give my life to Christ because first He give his for mine.
Yes, you voluntarily give your life to receive God's salvation. But if you didn't give your life, then you wouldn't receive that gift. Hence, not free.

We love Him because He first loved us. Christ does not require me die for my sins nor to receive the just punishment for my sins. But because he loved me I love him back, I do this out of appreciation and the work of the HS within me, not out of obligation.
If you must give up your life to God and Jesus in order to receive his salvation, then the gift isn't free. It doesn't matter if you give up your life out of obligation or not. The only way it can be free is if God's salvation doesn't require you to give up your life for him.

If God gave you salvation, and you didn't need to give up your life in return, then it would be free. Sure, you might still give up your life to God because you want to thank him for everything he has done for you, but you didn't have to give up your life in return for his gift. But that's not what we're being told. We're being told the only way you can receive God's gift is if you give up your life for him.

The gift is free
the terms are conditional

those who refuse to follow and obey God
do not get the free gift
they choose not to have it

Was your life ever yours to begin with?

Psalm 24

Holman Christian Standard Bible (HCSB)

Psalm 24

The King of Glory

A Davidic psalm.

1 The earth and everything in it,
the world and its inhabitants,
belong to the Lord;

If the answer is no, which I think it is, then you can't give your life to Him. It already belongs to Him from your conception.

What we give Him is our allegiance, and this allegiance comes from God, for He changes the desires of our heart.

Then the gift of salvation is not free, is that what your saying?
It is written...

For unto whomsoever
much is given, of him shall
be much required

Nothing that God
gives you is... FREE...

from responsibility.

Not salvation.

Not grace.

Not love.

Not even mercy.

NOTHING IS FREE from

required performance

expectations.

The gift of Eternal Life is about as much, as you can get.

So how much did you all give to God in return for His salvation?
If I gave him every minute of my the rest of my life and continued to live for another 1000 years, it still would not be enough to give him in return for his gift.

To receive God's free Gift of salvation, you have to give over your own will to Him and obey His will. True or false?

False, to receive salvation one must only accept the work of the cross. The rest, well the Holy Spirit works on us as long as our faith is in the cross. Outside of that your own your which ends in failure or bondage.

John 6:27-29 Labour not for the meat which perisheth, but for that meat which endureth unto everlasting life, which the Son of man shall give unto you: for him hath God the Father sealed.
Then said they unto him, What shall we do, that we might work the works of God?
Jesus answered and said unto them, This is the work of God, that ye believe on him whom he hath sent.

Galatians 3:1-2 O foolish Galatians, who hath bewitched you, that ye should not obey the truth, before whose eyes Jesus Christ hath been evidently set forth, crucified among you?
This only would I learn of you, Received ye the Spirit by the works of the law, or by the hearing of faith?

Receiving Him is a work of God.
I agree. Even our very faith to believe is a free gift of grace.

John_6:44 No man can come to me, except the Father which hath sent me draw him: and I will raise him up at the last day.

Initially no. You do not have to give up your will. In fact its your will to accept Him is it not?

To receive salvation you have to believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, you must confess this and repent of your sins as Jesus says. To believe in Jesus you must believe in all He did for us, and what He said we must do.

Too many want to write off what Jesus said.

False.

We are unable to do this UNTIL we receive the gift of salvation. for we can not even understand what this means.

"the things of God are foolishness to those who are not his"
