I think it is funny how some try to say they were forced to accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. Actually its quite sad !!!
Nobody is forced to do anything, even Jesus told His disciples when He sent them out to give the good word not to force it on others. If they listen stay and talk awhile, if not dust your feet off and keep moving.
Are you referring to the following verses?
Mat 10:5 These twelve Jesus sent forth, and commanded them, saying,
Go not into the way of the Gentiles, and into any city of the Samaritans enter ye not:
Mat 10:6
But go rather to the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
Mat 10:7
And as ye go, preach, saying, The kingdom of heaven is at hand.
Why would the lost sheep of the house of Israel need to hear that the kingdom of heaven is at hand?
Because Jesus said, Mat_15:24
But he answered and said, I am not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
What else does the New Testament say about the "house of Israel"?
Act_2:36 Therefore let all
the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ.
Act_7:42 Then God turned, and gave them up to worship the host of heaven; as it is written in the book of the prophets,
O ye house of Israel, have ye offered to me slain beasts and sacrifices by the space of forty years in the wilderness?
Heb_8:8 For finding fault with them, he saith, Behold, the days come, saith the Lord, when I will make a new covenant
with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah:
Heb_8:10 For this is the covenant that I will make with
the house of Israel after those days, saith the Lord; I will put my laws into their mind, and write them in their hearts: and I will be to them a God, and they shall be to me a people:
At the time of Jesus ministry, who is the house of Israel?
Can you make a parallell from "lost sheep" to the "house of Israel"?
We are not the church, separate from Israel...we are Israel, spiritually and grafted in or adopted or original. The assembly is the church and the church is the assembly from the wilderness.
Act 7:31 When Moses saw it, he wondered at the sight: and as he drew near to behold it, the voice of the Lord came unto him,

Why did David make emphasis that the LORD God is LORD God of Israel? Because that is who is to be saved!! We must come and accept being grafted in or adopted into "Israel". We are not separate from the God of Israel or His Son who said He only came for the lost sheep of the house of Israel. In the end, we will each be told which of the 12 gates we are to enter and exit from at the temple.
The whole Bible is the story of Israel and her redemption. All of the Bible is relevant today for all believers. God always had a provision plan for non-Israelites to join Israel.
Exo_12:49 One law shall be to him that is homeborn, and unto the stranger that sojourneth among you.
Num_15:16 One law and one manner shall be for you, and for the stranger that sojourneth with you.
Num_15:29 Ye shall have one law for him that sinneth through ignorance, both for him that is born among the children of Israel, and for the stranger that sojourneth among them.
Sorry to be so long, but the true gospel is really much more amazing and less confusing than the separation of Israel and the church traditional man-made doctrine.
Time is almost up. Time to "Come out of her, my people." Rev_18:4 And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.
