like i said in the post you pulled the quote from -- those who are disobedient always bring him up,
and i only want to reply to those who want to learn from Jesus and be obedient to God, or to unbelievers asking questions.

people who are willfully sinful and disobedient, and still yet call themselves 'believers' , the Word of God is clear about not having anything to do with them, not even to greet them, and not to have a meal with them.

Whenever they bring up the thief on the cross, I just simply refer them to what Paul wrote in Galatians and Romans where he says that we are not to use examples like that for a reason not to do it. We are to leave those decisions to the Lord, but we who love and follow Him should use the time we have to honor Him in love by doing what He said.

Galatians 5:13
For, brethren, ye have been called unto liberty; only use not liberty for an occasion to the flesh, but by love serve one another.

They were not taken out of context, you just don't like them because you don't want to believe what those scriptures say.

Repentance, baptism, and confession is not dead works, they are spiritual works. Dead works are those sinful works done for self that lead you to a spiritual death. Not things that were commanded by our Lord.

The Lord would not have said do these things, now repent of them because they are not needed and are dead works.
Instead He said repent, be baptized, confess Him before others, forgive others, and so on......These were not fulfilled and/or done away with at the cross. That was the mosaic law written ordinances that was done away with at the cross. His 10 commandments and everything the Lord said in Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John do very much still apply.

I suggest you read those scriptures again and ask the Holy Spirit to give you understanding. If you are willing to submit to His teaching then you will see how the scriptures you quoted were misused to preach error.

Look to Christ our teacher (1John 2:27).
This is far better then trusting in the error doctrine you have been taught by man.

I do trust in the Holy Spirit and let Him guide and help me, and when ever I have a question He takes me right to the answer in His word.

So once again repentance, baptism, confession, and forgiveness is not dead works. They are commands by our Lord, for He is the one who said repent of your sins or perish, be baptized in the Father, Son, Holy Spirit, confess Him before others and He will confess you, but deny Him and He will deny you, and forgive others and you will be forgiven, do not forgive and you will not be forgiven.
A person can not inherit the kingdom of heaven (eternal life) when walking in unrepented sins, and not born again.

Repentance, baptism, confession, forgiveness was all done when Christians first received Christ. The fact that you continue with these afterwards, laying again the foundation of repentance, etc, shows that you misunderstand scripture, as I've already shown you in previous posts.

Heb 6:1,2
Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,
Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

A person can not inherit the kingdom of heaven (eternal life) when walking in unrepented sins, and not born again.
Here you are preaching that we should doubt our salvation when we believe on Jesus.
You preach that sin/unrighteousness/transgression of the law still can be charged against Christians in spite of scriptures saying otherwise (Rom 8:33, 1John 3:5-9, 1Pet 4:1, John 8:36, Rom 6:7, 1Pet 4:18).

To Haz, Of the 6 passages and verses you quoted above, only one, Ro.8:33 has to do with the "elect" to whom no one can lay a charge against. The other 5 speak of with out holiness ,no on can be saved. Sorry, you miss labeled 5 of them. And Heb 6:1-2 speaks of repentance, without which one is lost. I am afraid you are promoting your false idea of perfectionism, which the Bible does not teach. Christians do sin and still need to repent of those sins. this is taught in all the New T. . I also know that Ken is weak on his security of God's "elect" , that no one saved, can be lost again. But you need to see that Jh. 3:16 and other passages, teach that a believe may not be saved, (born again), They need to repent and obey God ,by doing "good works" to show their salvation is true. We all need to evangelize and tell the lost to Repent , trust and obey Jesus to be saved. Love to all, Hoffco

Rom 8:33
Who shall lay any thing to the charge of God's elect? It is God that justifieth.

Consider Acts 13:39, Rom 3:24-28, Rom 5:1-9, 1Cor 6:11 to see that Christians are the justified and thus cannot be charged with sin.

Not sure what your trying to say here. These 5 scriptures I quoted describe a Christians position in Christ, which is without sin.

And Heb 6:1-2 speaks of repentance, without which one is lost.
The point in Heb 6:1 being that repentance was from dead works of self-righteousness. Also I was showing to Kenneth that repentance, etc is what Christians leave behind and move on from.

It's Christ who is perfect, holy, righteous, sinless.
And Christians abide in him, Col 3:3, Gal 2:20.
And in Christ there is no sin, 1john 3:5.

I suspect you are looking and judging Christians old physical man which is already dead (by faith, crucified with Christ Rom 6:6) because of sin, Rom 8:10. If so then I suggest you see Christians as the new creation instead.

Once again you are the one misusing the scripture, for it says not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works.
Repentance, baptism, confession, and forgiveness are not dead works. They are spiritual works that are done to make one a child of God by putting them in the cleansing of the Lords blood, repentance and baptism. And then confession and forgiveness are things that a believer in Him are to continue to do.
If you do not confess your future sins that you commit, then the Lords precious blood can not cover them and cleanse you from that unrighteousness as 1 John shows. Then as for forgiving others that is on going as well, for if you do not forgive others your sins will not be forgiven.

The false doctrine that is being taught is that at a one time repentance and mere belief is all that is needed for your past, present, and future sins to be forgiven/covered.
Paul and Peter both make it clear only your past and present sins at that time were forgiven and covered, confession for future sins still has to be made.

2 Peter 1:9
But whoever does not have them is nearsighted and blind, forgetting that they have been cleansed from their past sins.

Romans 3:25
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;

Peter in his book even gives a list of things that should be in a believers life, and if they don't have them it is because they have been mislead by that doctrine that no matter what they do from here it is forgiven and covered. Their actions do not matter is what they think, this is a false doctrine to think this way.

Hebrews 6:4-6

For it is impossible, in the case of those who have once been enlightened, who have tasted the heavenly gift, and have shared in the Holy Spirit, and have tasted the goodness of the word of God and the powers of the age to come, and then have fallen away, to restore them again to repentance, since they are crucifying once again the Son of God to their own harm and holding him up to contempt.

You can not restore repentance to a person who never had it to begin with.
So this is saying that those who were once believers got caught back up in willful sin in their life, and can not be brought back to repent of that sin/s because they love darkness more then light. Or as I have seen lost to a false teaching that sin can no longer be imputed on them again, so they do not confess their future sins. Which means they are still living in willful unforgiven sins, and refuse to confess them and/or repent of them because they believe they are recrucifying the Lord or as they put it mocking Him. Then it says you are only doing harm to yourself thinking this way.
King David is a good example of what a man of God should look like, as he never once ceased from praying and asking forgiveness of his sins. We as believers should and are told throughout the NT to follow that example.

Yes those who reject the grace of God and return to the law have "fallen" away.... Ye have fallen from grace, ye who seek to be justified by the law!

Ro 7:6 But now we are delivered from the law, that being dead wherein we were held; that we should serve in newness of spirit, and not in the oldness of the letter.
7 ¶ What shall we say then? Is the law sin? God forbid. Nay, I had not known sin, but by the law: for I had not known lust, except the law had said, Thou shalt not covet.

Paul must be fallen then huh?

Acts 24:14, "But I confess this to you, that after the way which they call heresy--so I worship the Father of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the Law and in the Prophets."

Romans 7:25, "Thanks be to Yahweh, I have deliverance through Yahshua Messiah our King! So then, with this same mind, I myself serve the Law of Yahweh, while in the flesh that is yet subject to the law of sin."

Acts 21:24, "Take them, and be purified with them, and pay their expenses so that they may shave their heads. Then everyone will know that those things they were informed about you (forsaking the Law), were lies, and that you, yourself, walk orderly, and keep the Law."

Still no reply, why will you not even speak upon these verses? You said you beliee all Scripture not just what Paul wrote.

Mitspa, please answer this;

OK, are these valid? Or is it a justified by works lie? or something else? (I really want to key in on that "and" in Rev 12:17.)

Revelation 22:12-15, "And behold, I come quickly, and My reward is with Me, to give every man according as his work will be. I am the First and the Last, the Beginning and the End. Blessed are those who keep His Laws, that they may have right to the tree of life, and may enter in through the gates into the city. For outside are dogs, and sorcerers, and whoremongers, and murderers, and worshipers of gods and everyone who professes to love, yet practices falsehood."

Revelation 12:17, "And the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went to make war with those who forsook her seed; her seed being those who keep the Laws of Yahweh, and have the testimony of Yahshua Messiah."

"Laws" is word #1785 entolé
Definition: an ordinance, injunction, command, law.
Why will you not answer my questions..... I asked the same thing a few times now....
I'm still waiting...

You use some scriptures, but in your responses you give what seems to be double talk so let me get this straight with you.

So are you saying that you can covet all you want, lie all you want, murder all you want, worship other God's all you want, and dishonor your parents all you want, or even commit any other sins all you want ?

If you say no, then that puts a big ripple and showing that how you have been taught about God's moral laws is wrong as they are not the mosaic laws, there is a difference!!!
If you say yes, then you are for a rude awaking, for still practicing unrighteousness and living a life of iniquity.

Haz. You have a false view of Heb.6. We are not to LEAVE the basic gospel, as if we grow out of the need of repenting of on going sin, we always have sins to be repented of . True repentance is never to be "repented of" "regretted" of, or grown out of the need of, to repent of sins.. 2Cor7:9-11 Paul NEVER claimed to be perfect as you think you are. Phil.3:12 "Not that I have already attained, or am already perfected". Paul know his "election" of God ,he,if "elect" could not lose His Salvation: but was he perfectly assured of his salvation. I don't think so. Nor do I think I am as sure of Heaven, as if I have been there 10,000 yrs. This total assurance is not for mortal men to have. "Take heed lest you fall" Love to all , Hoffco

I have no confidence in myself...my confidence is in the Lord and His Grace.... Only those who seek to justify themselves by works of law are trying to have confidence in themselves....its pride! Those who have no confidence in the flesh and trust only in Gods Righteousness and grace to cause them to stand are in true biblical humility.... There is a false humility and a true humility ...There is a pride in the flesh and then there is a boldness in the Lord that comes from His righteousness.

Pr 28:1 ¶ The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion.

you missed my point.
Kenneth is continually laying again the foundation of repentance, which Heb 6:1 says Christians move on from.
Kenneth cannot see himself pure and righteous unless he's repenting again, and again, and again......
Kenneth is mixing works of the law, with grace. This is why he is stuck on always laying again the foundation of repentance.

you are saying sin cannot be charged against a Christian....but the wages of sin is death....for this reason the scripture says... sin not...you are contending sin can abide in Christ...you are saying light and darkness can have fellowship...why does the scripture say if we sin we have an advocate ? if that sin is not charged against us why do we need an advocate???....scripture says if we confess our sins .he is faithful to forgive us....where did they come from?....since we were purged from our old sins....
You misunderstand my point.
I'm contending there is no sin in Christ, as the scriptures I quoted confirm.
I'm contending that light cannot have fellowship with darkness, as the scriptures I quoted confirm.

When we believe on Jesus then Christians cannot be charged with sin, Rom 8:33.
This is not to say we're physically perfect in behaviour. Instead it refers to our position in Christ.

As for a Christian's flawed physical body, it's already dead (by faith, crucified with Christ, Rom 6:6) because of sin, Rom 8:10

Christians abide in Christ. Our life is hid with Christ in God, Col 3:3. And in Christ there is no sin, 1John 3:5.
Thus we see in 1Pet 4:1

Forasmuch then as Christ hath suffered for us in the flesh (crucified), arm yourselves likewise with the same mind (our old man crucified with him, Rom 6:6): for he that hath suffered in the flesh (Rom 6:6) hath CEASED from sin;

if you believe on Jesus then you will likewise believe he set you free from sin, John 8:36
