The people who were most offended by what I wrote seem to have left. I wish they would return so we could come to a biblical conclusion to our conflict. If you think about it...the purpose behind conflict is to learn to resolve it in Jesus name.... Am I wrong? The bible specifically addresses how we are to resolve conflict in the body of Christ. So......if we are Christians......how do we proceed?
Who cares if they were offended lol. The only person who might deserve an apology would be that Jason guy.

See? Now that's the type of response that makes me proud of you. You're right. We do need to learn how to resolve conflict. Some here seem to think that the resolution is to burn you at the stake and then to serve you over rice with a side of potatoes or corn. Instead, we ought to be seeking your restoration and, again, I really can't believe how terribly out of proportion this whole thing has been blown. What you did here is nothing when compared to some of the things that I've witnessed on other threads today, but I guess that it is what it is. I gave you my advice in my last response, but I'll add this:

If you're unsure of your own motives in starting this thread, then take it humbly before the Lord and see what He reveals to you. If it was just meant in fun, which happens to be the way that I and some others here perceived it, then don't let anybody here condemn you unjustly. You could apologize to them for unintentionally offending them and be more careful in the future. If, however, there was malicious intent on your part, then repent of the same before the Lord and confess the same to any offended party and ask for forgiveness. Whatever you do, don't get swallowed up with overmuch sorrow. The saints of God are always looking to restore. Rabid dogs? Well, they're always looking to bite.

From what I have seen:

Sirk, who (until this thread) has shown incerdible kindness and patience toward Jason; became frustrated and discouraged by Jason's unresponsiveness: and, instead of becoming angry attempted to find humor in the situation.

Several of us, instead of enjoying the humor; saw fit to rebuke Sirk for his lapse of patience.

Looking at how Sirk conducts Himself on the board; it seems to me that at worst he deserves a pass on this; and IMO, he actually deserves applause in spite of it!

You say you're trying to reach Jason and get him to see his mistakes but all you're doing is taking jabs at him, making his points stronger at how many people throw insults on here.
I hear what you are saying and what I gather is that you have a good heart and feel compassion for Jason. And I mean that sincerely. Do you think that my post was a direct insult to Jason? Honestly, when I think about it....I do the same thing to my teenager at times. Like......he does the SAME doh headed things over and over expecting a different result or something and I just get to the point where I wanna take the cover off the electrical panel and grab onto to both phases in bare feet standing in a pool of water. lol..... Joking of course but Jason and my son exasperate me almost equally. Love ya Jason...but thats just the cold hearted truth man.

I'd be interested in seeing it too.
I cant put my hand on the post but it was an over reaction to something Sirk said. It is quite immature. Those of us who know Sirk around here know that he would never blaspheme Jesus, which he did not.

I think he means here

I'd be interested in the context of that. My guess, and it's only a guess which is partly based upon other things that I've read here, is that they were discussing OSAS and Sirk probably said that because he believes that Jesus would never forsake us and therefore those who preach that we can fall away make Jesus a liar. If that's what it's all about, then I posted my beliefs on another thread earlier in which I stated that I believe that we can walk away from Jesus. In any case, it seems like a matter of which Jesus is the real Jesus and what did Jesus actually say and mean to me. I can't imagine that Sirk would ever intentionally blaspheme Christ. It seems that he was actually trying to defend Who he presently believes Jesus to be.

And I like how you phrased that. It is a statement that Jesus' character is so deep that who can know it.....know what I mean?

I agree,Ive taken some pretty good heat for it too.I also believe you can walk away from Gods grace. But I have wonderful Christian friends who believe OSAS. When we do talk about it we find we're not as far apart as we think.Either way we fellowship together and there is no reason we cant disagree on some things and still be brothers and sisters in Christ.Sirk was making a point, not blaspheming Christ and that is quite a charge to make.I think those people have left the thread so its all good. Time to cool down.

That was an accident. My apologies.
Again, for whatever it is worth, I believe you.

This has been a very weird day for me. Again, I never expected to be defending you today. Not that you're any worse than I am, but I had previously viewed you as being too sarcastic or satirical. In this case, I really feel that you're getting a lot more than you deserve.

I'm imperfect...Im broken and I make no bones about it. It was over the top for me to call Isit's Jesus a liar. It wasn't loving...in fact it was hurtful and I shouldn't have said it.

Your mouth wrote a check that you cannot cash, but you will eat the fruits of your own words.

Proverbs 18:21
Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.
Oh, please.

Take a chill pill. You're not the judgment seat of Christ.

I'm not a father, obviously. I don't even have any younger siblings (I have a nephew but because of my sister I never get to see him. Not the point.) So I don't have the experience on handling kids or teen agers. But when it comes to trying to reach your kid, it's not the same thing when trying to minister to someone on a Christian site. They say doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result is insanity... Quite a few people must be insane, then, because the same debates go on and on and on. And now we're at the point we're doing highschool girl backstabbing and gossipping stuff. "Like omg Taylor, did you see what Sarah wrote on Facebook yesterday?" This is where CC is at right now, where all the good people are leaving and the trolls are arriving.

I see where you're coming from. All this drama seems so immature.

A little taste of what actually happens and that which gets dished out by the workers for salvation under the banner of always being persecuted.......they constantly twist what is said and or implied.....welcome to the actual truth!
Ding,Ding,Ding, what do we have for him Johnny? Nailed it DC.

I sincerely hope this post gets through to those who have been blinded by this.

This thread brings out that truth.

Well I would say it certainly fanned the flames.lol But In Truth was over the top too.As I said,it looked like an over heated discussion. Ive been short with people here too. Now to see if In Truth accepts your apology. If he is the Christian he portrays he will.

I learn more about Christ every day I hope and I usually learn by God revealing to me how unChristlike something is that I've said or done. None of us have reached full maturity in Christ. We ought to be helping each other to grow and not looking to put our boot in the groin of someone who stumbles and falls. I'm literally shaking my head while I'm typing. Things are so backwards that it's scary.

Then just tell him as much no matter how he responds. We're all ultimately accountable for our own actions and not other peoples' reactions.
