The people who were most offended by what I wrote seem to have left. I wish they would return so we could come to a biblical conclusion to our conflict. If you think about it...the purpose behind conflict is to learn to resolve it in Jesus name.... Am I wrong? The bible specifically addresses how we are to resolve conflict in the body of Christ. So......if we are Christians......how do we proceed?
See? Now that's the type of response that makes me proud of you. You're right. We do need to learn how to resolve conflict. Some here seem to think that the resolution is to burn you at the stake and then to serve you over rice with a side of potatoes or corn. Instead, we ought to be seeking your restoration and, again, I really can't believe how terribly out of proportion this whole thing has been blown. What you did here is nothing when compared to some of the things that I've witnessed on other threads today, but I guess that it is what it is. I gave you my advice in my last response, but I'll add this:
If you're unsure of your own motives in starting this thread, then take it humbly before the Lord and see what He reveals to you. If it was just meant in fun, which happens to be the way that I and some others here perceived it, then don't let anybody here condemn you unjustly. You could apologize to them for unintentionally offending them and be more careful in the future. If, however, there was malicious intent on your part, then repent of the same before the Lord and confess the same to any offended party and ask for forgiveness. Whatever you do, don't get swallowed up with overmuch sorrow. The saints of God are always looking to restore. Rabid dogs? Well, they're always looking to bite.
