I have never seen in all my many years even one Christian who uses the freedom of grace to sin. Or, as you put it, an excuse for ongoing sin.

Not a real Christian who loves Jesus and lives for him.

Not one.
I have seen many, They call themselves Christian, They claim those of us who profess salvation by grace through faith and not works want to excuse our sin, When it is they who excuse their own sin..

Like pharisees they go puffing their chest pf hw righteous they are, When their righteousness is no righteousness at all.

Oh the sadness of all things, 2000 years after Israel was destroyed because of her sins, and the very religious people who would teach the exact thing inspiritandtruth is saying in this very op sufficed Christ because of his speaking against them.

The law is a curse because no one can keep it that way God demands, Both moses and paul said perfection is required, if you can not keep the law in this standard and this standard alone
( [SUP]10 [/SUP]For as many as are of the works of the law are under the curse; for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who does not continue in all things which are written in the book of the law, to do them.)

You see, Moses nor paul said we can and should continue in most of the law. In these parts of the law because others are no longer valid, obey them better than the gentiles, or sinners, They Both said in ALL THINGS CONCERNING THE LAW. PERFECTION.

Scripture says only one person ever did this, and that was christ.

So the op and all those who agree with him, Until you realize the law condemns you where you stand apart from the blood of Christ, who is the ONLY ONE who fulfilled the laws requirements. And became a curse for you (in your place), I beg of you to get yourself under the schoolmaster, and repent, For until then you will never understand grace. Because you think you are not under the curse of the law..

The problem is a sin nature working in man, which is why we must be born again and made a new man in Christ, putting to death the old man nature who was under the bondage of the law of sin and death.

Which is why Jesus is the solution. The only solution to "me".

I just want to make note that this thread is not about trying to be justified by the works of the law. Posters like eternally grateful always try to prop up the "work Salvationism" and "sinless perfectionism" and "legalism" straw man arguement because they believe in OSAS and how ongoing and even wilful sin will not cause one to loose salvation.

Eternally-gratefull is on my ignore list because of his constant continuance in trying bring such false allegations, and in trying to misrepresent what I am saying in many of my posts. Just a heads up. :)

funny how some of ya'll " higher path, talk down to us filthy sinners who believe that we can live like hell, then go to heaven" can't seem to take criticism and ignore people who call out their garbage, the way e.g. does yours and every other legalist-in disguise folks.

love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, gentleness, faithfulness, self-control, you know, the Fruits of the Sprit. do not see much of that in your posts. lots of rules though. lots of them.

I don't mind criticism, I just can't stand liars, deceivers, and false accusers which proves they have not the Spirit of God. :)

Knowing what the problem is doesn't do anything in solving it.

Nothing in your own understanding will enable you to be able to stop walking in sin and begin walking in the Spirit.

Only by Faith in Christ, trust in Christ, abiding in Christ, the Power of Christ, will someone be able to do these things.

Just so people know. EG does not believe, nor has he ever stated that a person who has ongoing willful sin would not lose salvation. WHat EG has said from day one is what the word of God says, and that is that peopel who continue in willful sin have yet to repent, thus they could never have been saved to begin with, So how can they lose what they never had (in this case, salvation)

so it is prety arrogant of this person to say he has ME on ignore because of whatever, when he does not even know what EG believes to begin with..

See, He can not refute me, So he does what is second best, COntinue to LIE ABOUT ME, then run from the fact I am confronting him.

My last post still stands.. He ignores the fact that the law condemns him.. Thats why he can not fathom, a person who contnues in wilful unrepentant sin can never be saved, And he thinks they can actually lose salvation..

remember bro, It is perfectly ok for him to lie about our belief, But when we confront him, well how dare we even think we have the right to do such a thing..

Hypocrisy at its finest is what you see from them. "do as I say and not as I do, and if you do not obey me, then I will simply ignore you"

I agree, and that is what I preach, which includes being set free from sin by faith in what Jesus Christ did, and also what He said He could do, but many here argue against one truly being set free from sin.

Just so we can all be clear. My comment to the postor was about him saying we ignore the law. or the law does not cause a curse, it had nothing to do with justification by faith. so just yet another lie about me, because he does like alot of them do, and refuses to actually read what I say,,

If your focus is on sin it can't be on the Lord Jesus.

You have to focus on one or the other.

Matthew 7:2-4
[SUP]2 [/SUP]For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brother's eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye?
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye; and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye?

If you want to help someone be free from sin you have to take them to the Eye Doctor...

Once they've seen Him they will know where to go if they get another splinter...

"you must spread some reputation around"

Amen! Setting your minds on the thing of the spirit is not setting your ind on the law. or everyone else' sin, it is keeping your eyes focused on the spirit. the one true eye doctor..

That's the problem with many co called Christians, they do not examine themselves for sin. If you are committing sin you are servant of sin, and a servant abides not in the house forever. Jesus came to take away our sins, and to also set us free from ongoing sin, why do people hate this message? Because if they examine themselves they prove themselves by sin to be reprobate.

I preach the forgiveness of sins, and the being set free from the bondage of ongoing sin by faith in Jesus Christ. So those who argue against me, are arguing for the opposite position of this, which is nothing more than self justification of ongoing sin.

or we could be like you and deny we have any sin..

The Christian life in not about focusing on sin.. it's about focusing on Jesus and His righteousness...God is not an evangelical in that He is sin-conscious...He is His Son-conscious........this is the major difference between works-based D.I.Y self-effort/righteousness/holiness adherents and believing in the grace of Christ...they are completely opposites....

When I look at Jesus, I see my sin all the more clearly.
