Even angels recognize the usage of the word "Dead"...

Luke 24:5
In their fright the women bowed down with their faces to the ground, but the men said to them, "Why do you look for the living among the dead?

Sory for the delay, had to take care of family.

Any way. Listen to what the passages you posted say. Mediums, soothsayers, sorcery. all those are doing what with the dead?

Do we seek them for comunication of future events, raise them from the dead for knowledge?

We ask them to pray for us. Is that forbidden? Pray for one another?

OR what they forbid is conjuring up spirits for our own pleasure and future knowledge? Which of course it is not what we do.

No problemo.

Don't conveniently forget, "consult the dead". :p

"or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead."

Do we seek them for comunication of future events, raise them from the dead for knowledge?
I don't know, I doubt it, but it seems to be popular among a lot of Pentecostal types.

Are the Saints in heaven dead?

If they are dead, and you are consulting them.. you are doing something forbidden (both in new and old covenants). You might want to go ask some more Catholic friends for some help. I would advise you to stay away from Catholic Answers, it only works on Catholics and those who don't know better.

Remains the same to me. You said do not forget consult. To consult is to seek information, the point I am trying to make to you. We do not seek information, we ask for prayer just like I would ask you. They are alive praying to The Lord. we can see in Revelations the saints are offering their prayers to The Lord. This is what we do, if you believe otherwise then that is your wrong interpretation of being in a communion of saints. We all pray to The Lord for one enother and you are no different. And as I am sure you heard of Jacobs ladder earlier in Genesis, with the angels going up and down from heaven.

What is pleasing to The Lord? we all pray for one another or we consider those who died dead in The Lord? why is it that in the OT Moses, Elijah, David and afew more names are mention so much? Because they live, thats why. When they say the God of Abraham, does it say it is a different Lord? The God of Mosses! Is He different? By mentioning their names with God are we counjuring up spirits? Are we soothsaying or doing sorcery? No we are being a communion with them.

The catholic tradition has deep roots in the false religion that started at babylon. Christmas comes from that religion, and so does Easter. The early beginnings of the catholic church superimposed this Babylonian system and used deception and at some points force to integrate it as much as possible. The original starters of the false religion were Nimrod, his wife semirimas, and their son Tammuz. There's a passage in Jeremiah about ladies weeping for Tammuz. Semirimas made herself a deity (falsely of course) and was known under the name "Ishtar" Ishtar is actually pronounced Easter in one ancient culture but I can't remember which one. The lie she fed the people is that she came down from the moon in an egg that hatched in the Euphrates river. That's why we have "Easter Eggs". After the language was confounded, you seen this also in the Egyptian tounge under the names Isis, Osiris, and Horus.

This religion is all over the ancient and modern world. The statue of Liberty was originally made as a statue of Ishtar believe it or not. The infiltration of the Church in general is staggering. It isn't just catholics who are affected by it but they're definitely the most overtly involved denomination. Feel free to look into it, I've been researching this kind of thing for a long time.

I have never heard that the catholic church was the one who started a bunny who lays chocolate eggs for easter. I was not raised in America and easter is all about Jesus passion. Very rich catholic areas celebrate this time with no school or work, going to church every day of that week, people gather by the thousands each important moment i.e. the trial, the scourging, the carrying of the cross and each fall. People act this out in remembrance, the atmosphere is that of sadness.

Then I came to america and people are eating chocolate from a bunny and calling it spring break a time to get drunk and stupid.

Culture shock.

You misread, I didn't say they started it. The easter egg business started in the same era as the tower of babel and so did Christmas (although it wasn't called by that name and didn't even have the appearance of being related to our God at that time). The practice of placing trees in the home and decorating them goes waaay back. The candy aspect of Easter wasn't introduced until relatively recently. The catholic church didn't "start" anything per se, it's just one of the most shocking and obvious examples of blatant Babylonian traditions/rituals inside of the church. Protestant churches are chock full of it too but the average person doesn't know or recognize it. Religious pagans laugh about it when they see Christians decorating their trees and going on easter egg hunts because they know that most of us don't have a clue. It's a sad state of affairs.

I am sorry I did misread, thank you for clarifying it.

I do see different paganism. I do not believe we got mixed up traditions from pagans. I believe pagans got mixed up the tradition from God's people.

All the pagan gods have something of the true God not because we combined them from the pagans but because the pagans divided the understanding of God. I disagree we get our traditions and such from pagans, I believe it is the other way around, that the pagans saw our traditions and added their own twists, but because people need proof they find similarities in the pagans and believe we most have gotten it from them. Remember Adam and Eve walked with God, and sin began to pull humanity away from God.

I am not saying it is you, I am just expressing my opinion on the pagan gods issue.

It's fine to disagree, everybody can have their own opinion. I'm just putting the history out there for those who want to know. I don't want to insult catholics or anybody's personal beliefs for that matter. Even if you choose not to look into anything I tell you, I've done my job by giving you the information.

For starters I have respect for the catholic belief system - however, every since I went to catholic church and attended school, the whole saints and Mary thing always seemed weird.

Ok, just what is Mary sitting on here? Its the Mercy Seat, the throne of God. This idol is
real and not a made up image. Its in the Saint Stanisiaus Koskta Perish in Chicago,
I believe is the city. You can google it. But look at it. You got the 10 Commandments,
Aarons rod, the pot of mana and the Mercy seat. She is sitting in authority over God and God's
word, that is His written word and the Living Word Jesus. For any Catholic to say "Mary
isn't our god", is just a lie and lip service to the naive. Their actions tell a different story.
Notice how she is dressed. IN RED, the color of sin.

Rev 17:4 And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold
and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and
filthiness of her fornication:

And sitting on God's throne not only represents authority, but corruption of God's word.
Lev 15:19-20 And if a woman have an issue, and her issue in her flesh be blood, she shall
be put apart seven days: and whosoever toucheth her shall be unclean until the even.
(20) And every thing that she lieth upon in her separation shall be unclean: every thing
also that she sitteth upon shall be unclean.

Who wants the throne of God anyway?
Isa 14:12-14 How art thou fallen from heaven, O Lucifer, son of the morning! how
art thou cut down to the ground, which didst weaken the nations! (13) For thou hast
said in thine heart, I will ascend into heaven, I will exalt my throne above the stars of
God: I will sit also upon the mount of the congregation, in the sides of the north:
(14) I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will be like the most High.

The idol shown above is not Mary of the Bible, but the great harlot in Rev. (Talk about ID Theft).
1Ki 21:7 And Jezebel his wife said unto him, Dost thou now govern the kingdom of Israel?
arise, and eat bread, and let thine heart be merry: I will give thee the vineyard of Naboth the
Jezreelite.

Remember Jezebel?
Rev 2:20 Notwithstanding I have a few things against thee, because thou sufferest
that woman Jezebel, which calleth herself a prophetess, to teach and to seduce my servants
to commit fornication, and to eat things sacrificed unto idols.

Idols? Prophetess teaching false doctrine? Sitting on God's throne and corrupting it?
This is the god of Roman Catholism. There is a lot of unholy symbolism here. I just pointed
out a couple. The whole thing is blasphemy. Do RC's still try to justify praying to this harlot?

For starters I have respect for the catholic belief system - however, every since I went to catholic church and attended school, the whole saints and Mary thing always seemed weird.

I was continually asked why I refused to say the " Hail Mary," prayer or send my prayers to her, and one of my best friends was trying to explain how each saint has some special title or something, like praying to Mark for protection or some specification like that.
Valencia, Spain, May 15, 2012 / 04:05 pm (CNA).- A top Vatican official called the Virgin Mary the “greatest source of hope” during the economic crisis now facing Spain and most of the countries of Europe.
Cardinal Antonio Canizares, prefect of the Congregation for Divine Worship and the Discipline of the Sacraments, made his remarks during the traditional “Missa d’Infants” (Children’s Mass) in Valencia.
The outdoor Mass at Virgin Mary Square is the largest celebration in honor of the Blessed Mother under the patronage of “Our Lady of Abandoned Children.” Dozens of children’s choirs participate in the Mass each year.
During his homily, the cardinal said devotion to Mary is especially important “during the difficult times of our life, amidst the great difficulties we are experiencing” and as society faces a “critical hour” in history.
He went on to say that at the root of the massive crisis facing the country, and the real problem facing mankind, “is the breakdown of humanity, the lack of a true vision of man, who is inseparable from God.”
Citing the words of Pope Benedict XVI, Cardinal Canizares stressed that when God disappears, “man is unable to achieve greatness.”
“He loses his dignity and becomes the mere product of blind evolution, to be used and abused.” Only in God and with God, who loves man unconditionally, “as we feel in Mary, will the change that the earth needs come to pass,” he said.
The cardinal’s homily was met with a standing ovation by the thousands of people gathered for the Mass.
At the conclusion of the Mass, Archbishop Carlos Osoro of Valencia thanked the cardinal for his words and asked him to convey to Pope Benedict XVI “our sincere affection and communion and the prayer of all the Christians of the pilgrim Church of Valencia.”

Mary is what now??? The greatest hope??? If sin and corruption were manure, the Roman Catholic
church would be up to its neck in it. How much more needs to be added before the people
smell it or see it?? If they open their mouth wide enough, they can taste it. They are worshipping
a pagan goddess and they are trying to put her on God's throne. READ THE BIBLE....
oh wait, they don't believe the Bible now...that's coming next post.

If Roman Catholics would just read the Bible, they would see the corruption and sins in their
organization. But it seems, they don't believe the Bible to be accurate. Mary's word and the Pope's
word, that's accurate. (Copied and pasted several key items):

The hierarchy of the Roman Catholic Church has published a teaching document instructing
the faithful that some parts of the Bible are not actually true.

The Catholic bishops of England, Wales and Scotland are warning their five million worshippers,
as well as any others drawn to the study of scripture, that they should not expect “total accuracy”
from the Bible.

They say the Church must offer the gospel in ways “appropriate to changing times,
intelligible and attractive to our contemporaries”.

To read it all, here's the link:
Catholic Church no longer swears by truth of the Bible

I have shown the "queen of heaven" sitting on God's throne, corrupting it and by their very own
words, verify what I said. Are they Christian? Not hardly. Pagans, yes. But they are playing
a dangerous game with God. He will NOT share His throne and glory. Still want to pray to this
harlot?

Next, how the proverbial frog got boiled, or how the great harlot ascended to the throne of God.

1.) Why is Mary revered as the Mother of God, and prayed too like a goddess or divine authority figure?
SO GLAD you asked that question; Here is how the proverbial frog got boiled, or in this
case, how the great harlot got to sitting on God's throne and worshipped.

Year 300 AD - Prayers for the dead
300 - Sign of the cross
320 - Candles used in worship (a carry over from incense buring and spirit chasing by pagans)
375 - Worship of siants and angels
394 - Institution of Mass
431 - Worship of Mary began
500 - Priest began to dress differently than Laity
526 - Extreme Unction
593 - Pergatory introduced
600 - Prayers directed to Mary
600 - Worship services in latin only
607 - First Pope appointed
709 - Kissing the Pope's foot
786 - Worship of the cross, images, and relics
850 - Holy Water invented
995 - Fasting on Fridays and during Lent
1097 - Celibacy of the Priesthood
1090 - Rosary, prayer beads
1184 - The Inquisition
1190 - Sale of indulgences
1215 - Transubstantiation
1220 - Adoration of the wafer
1229 - Bible forbidden to laymen
1229 - Confession to priests
1414 - Communion cup forbidden to the people
1439 - Doctrine of pergatory decreed
1439 - Doctrine of seven sacraments affired - Baptism, confirmation, eucharist, penance,
ordination (or holy orders), matrimony, extreme unction
1508 - Ave maria approved
1534 - Jesuit order founded by Ignatius Loyola
1545 - Tradition given equal authority with scriptures
1546 - Apocrypha placed in the Douay version (Catholic Bible)
1854 - Immaculate conception of Mary
1864 - Syllabus of errors (A list by Pius IX condemning 80 Protestant doctrines
which he called "the principle errors of our times.")
1870 - Infallibility of the Pope declared
1950 - Assumption of the "virgin Mary" decreed
1965 - Mary proclaimed "Mother of the church."

And if I may add two here:
2005 - Catholic church no longer swears by the truth of the Bible
2013 - Mary sits on the Mercy Seat, God's throne

One degree at a time and the proverbial frog boils without even noticing
the water getting hot. And RC's claim they are the "True Church?"
I see nothing that says they are even part of Jesus' church any more.
Lip service means nothing to God.

Be careful of FALSE WITNESS!!!!

You seemed to forgot to post what was the image you posted all about!!!

Then God's Temple in Heaven was opened, and the Ark of His Covenant was seen within His Temple; and there were flashes of lightning, voices, peals of thunder, an earthquake, and heavy hail. And a great portent appeared in heaven, a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars; she was with Child and she cried out in her pangs of birth, in anguish for delivery.

Hmmm! I seem to recall a slightly different story of how the bible came to be!!!

Pentecost (30/33AD)
The beginning of the Church; the Church exists before a determination of a canon or a definitive list of books of what was later
called the Bible. The NT was not even written yet. The Bible is the book of the Church, we are not a church of the Bible.

Melito, Bishop of Sardis (c. 170)
Produced the first known Christian attempt at an Old Testament canon. His list maintains the Septuagint order of books but
contains only the Old Testament protocanonicals minus the Book of Esther.

Council of Laodicea (c. 360)
A local council of the church in union with Rome produced a list of books of the Bible similar to the Council of Trent's canon.
This was one of the Church's earliest decisions on a canon.

Council of Rome (382)
Local church council under the authority of Pope Damasus, (366-384) gave a complete list of canonical books of the OT and
NT which is identical with the list later approved by the Council of Trent.

Council of Hippo (393)
Local North African Church council in union with and under the authority of the Bishop of Rome approved a list of OT and NT
canon (same books were later re-stated by the Council of Trent)

Council of Carthage (397)
Local North African Church council in union with and under the authority of the Bishop of Rome approved a list of OT and NT
canon (same books were later re-stated by the Council of Trent)

Pope Innocent I, Bishop of Rome, 401-417 (405)
Responded to a request by Exuperius, Bishop of Toulouse, with a list of canonical books of Scripture; this list was the same as
later approved by the Council of Trent.

Council of Carthage (419)
Local North African Church council in union with and under the authority of the Bishop of Rome approved a list of OT and NT
canon (same as later approved by the Council of Trent)

Council of Florence, an ecumenical council (1441)
Complete list of OT and NT canon was drawn up; this list later adopted by the Fathers of the Council of Trent
Council of Trent, an ecumenical council called to respond to the heresy of the Reformers (1545-1563)
The canon of OT and NT received final definitions: 46 books in the OT; 27 in the NT; "Henceforth the books of the OT and
the NT, protocanonical and deuterocanonical alike, in their entirety and with all their parts, comprise the canon and are held to
be of equal authority." The ancient Vulgate edition of the Bible was called the authoritative edition of the Bible.

Every sunday at catholic mass there are four bible readings:

One from the Old testament
Psalm (Sung)
One from the New Testament
And One from the Gospel

every day at 9am there is a catholic mass with:
An Old Testament reading
Psalm (not sung)
Gospel

If you attend mass every sunday for 3 years you have read the bible!
If you attend mass daily in 2 years you have read the bible!

Does your church read the whole bible too? I know some do.

If you do not believe me go to this site and look at the calendar on the right which says
DAILY READINGS --->United States Conference of Catholic Bishops
