The bible talks about those who demand equality.
Satan fell out of Heaven because he wanted equality.

I don't think the right to vote, equal pay and the freedom to use your God given talents is a bad thing. Men and women have their different roles in life , but opression is a bad thing.

I am speaking of equality in the church. Not the right to vote, but if you want to talk about how feminism has been a disadvantage in the world we can discuss that. We can also talk about just because a wife loves, and respects her husband doesnt mean she is oppressed.

Feminist movement is a direct result of the Jezebel spirit! True, they had good intentions, women should be able to work and vote, all good, but it also started abortion, and majority of feminists are lesbians, it also caused men today to be turned into little sissys, sure, be proud to be a woman, but the feminist movement should rather be called the Jezebel movement

The Feminist movement was a bad solution of inequality to an already sinful society. Yes, men beat their wives and said it was what God intended. Women were oppressed in many ways. Yet it went to extremes. Just because a woman is a supervisor in her job doesn't mean she has the same authority in the church.

[SUP]10 [/SUP][SUP][b][/SUP]A wife of noble character who can find?
She is worth far more than rubies.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]Her husband has full confidence in her
and lacks nothing of value.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]She brings him good, not harm,
all the days of her life.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]She selects wool and flax
and works with eager hands.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]She is like the merchant ships,
bringing her food from afar.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]She gets up while it is still night;
she provides food for her family
and portions for her female servants.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]She considers a field and buys it;
out of her earnings she plants a vineyard.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]She sets about her work vigorously;
her arms are strong for her tasks.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]She sees that her trading is profitable,
and her lamp does not go out at night.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]In her hand she holds the distaff
and grasps the spindle with her fingers.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]She opens her arms to the poor
and extends her hands to the needy.
[SUP]21 [/SUP]When it snows, she has no fear for her household;
for all of them are clothed in scarlet.
[SUP]22 [/SUP]She makes coverings for her bed;
she is clothed in fine linen and purple.
[SUP]23 [/SUP]Her husband is respected at the city gate,
where he takes his seat among the elders of the land.
[SUP]24 [/SUP]She makes linen garments and sells them,
and supplies the merchants with sashes.
[SUP]25 [/SUP]She is clothed with strength and dignity;
she can laugh at the days to come.
[SUP]26 [/SUP]She speaks with wisdom,
and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
[SUP]27 [/SUP]She watches over the affairs of her household
and does not eat the bread of idleness.
[SUP]28 [/SUP]Her children arise and call her blessed;
her husband also, and he praises her:
[SUP]29 [/SUP]“Many women do noble things,
but you surpass them all.”
[SUP]30 [/SUP]Charm is deceptive, and beauty is fleeting;
but a woman who fears the Lord is to be praised.
[SUP]31 [/SUP]Honor her for all that her hands have done,
and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.

Again, only God rules and reigns. Why not, LOL, He made ALL the rules.

. And, a husband's rule over his wife, which is true, a woman--as I put in an above post--IS to submit to her husband. But, again, he has no authority over her but MANY husbands would LIKE TO THINK they have authority over their wives.

And, this Gen. 3:16 has nothing to do with Scripture saying a pastor is to rule over a congregation. It is NOT in there, or, anywhere in Scripture, therefore, it's nowhere in Scripture, LOL, steph.
Okay clever clogs, please explain to use the difference between rule and authority. You have admitted that a husband's rule over his wife is that she is to submit to him. Paul also says that the husband is head of the wife. But you also say that he has no authority over her. Can you please explain the difference between rule and authority?

I agree loving and respecting your husband is good thing and not oppression. I find the o/p of this thread rude and insensitive to others. I am sorry if you have a problem with that, I am not one to offend others. I will be putting him on ignore.

I actually find it a compliment when you call me a feminist. Standing with my sisters in equality is something I'm very proud of. The independence and strength I was raised with have served me well. I am proud of the feminists who given me equality.

Women in America and some other countries are free to speak, vote and do everything a man can do. I pray someday my sisters in other countries are freed from the oppressors that hold them in chains.
What feminism are you talking about? Are you talking about the feminism that seeks to control men and reverse God's order for men and women, the feminism that hates male authority and says that all men are rapists? What feminism are you referring to?

Gal 3:28 There is neither Jew nor Gentile, neither slave nor free, nor is there male and female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus.

Thank you, because I no longer wish to see your ridiculous feminist comments anymore. Good bye and God bless

lol, well done. This is what we need. We need people who refuse to tolerate anything that goes against scripture. I can't remember her name, but there is a lesbian pastor who teaches women that abortion is not a sin. This is what happens when people refuse to obey God's word. Having a homosexual or feminist pastor in authority is the worst thing of all, because they teach other Christians that homosexuality and abortion are not sinful and are perfectly okay. This is very dangerous.

Women like you and carey are a blessing to us men. I wish every Christian woman was like you. Most Christian women get angry with me and accuse me of being a sexist woman hater whenever I say that a wife is to submit to her husband's authority.

Well, your words don't come from the Bible. You are teaching heresy, and it's people like you that destroy the church because you don't follow God's word.

I will have to look in to this more but I think paganism actually regards woman as higher than men. How scary is it that paganism has infiltrated the church?
