You are contradicting what Paul said. Paul told you that you are condemned already, your flesh is dead. Yet, you stand there proclaiming that you can obey the law. Something is fatally wrong in what you teach.
Correct me if I am wrong. You believe that you can obey the law and the rest of humanity failed?
The law is holy, just and good.
The fact that we are all sinners means we have all transgressed the law.
All have sinned.
When I look at Jesus I see perfection, pure righteousness and a perfect example of obedience.
I know that my righteousness is as filthy rages, and I know that the only hope I have is in the righteousness of Jesus.
Justification by faith.
But can I aim to obey the law? Can I try to follow Jesus, can I surrender to the Holy Spirit and allow Jesus to work obedience in my heart. SANCTIFICATION.
YES I can by the power of Jesus in me I can be transformed.
Psa 51:10 Create in me a clean heart, O God; and renew a right spirit within me.
Rom 3:31 Do we then make void the law through faith? God forbid: yea, we establish the law.
I am not contradicting Paul...
Paul did say we are dead in sin but he never said continue in sin.
He said as new born children live like a child free from sin.
Read all these verses... please.
This is what I believe.
Rom 5: 20 Moreover the law entered, that the offence might abound. But where sin abounded, grace did much more abound: 21 That as sin hath reigned unto death, even so might grace reign through righteousness unto eternal life by Jesus Christ our Lord.
Rom 6: 1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? 3 Know ye not, that so many of us as were baptized into Jesus Christ were baptized into his death? 4 Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. 5 For if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death, we shall be also in the likeness of his resurrection: 6 Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him, that the body of sin might be destroyed, that henceforth we should not serve sin. 7 For he that is dead is freed from sin. 8 Now if we be dead with Christ, we believe that we shall also live with him: 9 Knowing that Christ being raised from the dead dieth no more; death hath no more dominion over him. 10 For in that he died, he died unto sin once: but in that he liveth, he liveth unto God. 11 Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. 12 Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof.
Justification is not an excuse to serve sin.
I believe that in obeying my Lord because I love Him and want to be like Him.
