Why is the Quran even being mentioned here? The Quran has nothing to do with what the bible says.. This thread sounds like a record stuck on repeat..lol..
I cannot believe that some of you cannot understand that defending yourself or someone else does NOT always mean having to use deadly force!! There are a dozen different ways to protect yourself, and none of them involve the use of guns. Get yourself some pepper spray and/or a stun gun. Both are legal to carry on you (in some states, anyway). Those are both effective deterrents designed to immobilize someone, howbeit temporarily. And to re-iterate what ella85 and I both spoke about in previous posts: a good well-placed kick in the leg or genitals is effective also!! I know this for a fact, because I've done it before to an ex-bf to get away from him--it took him right to the floor!! LOL.
Never gave them a reason to do so. I never attacked them personally. I always generally spoke in a third person way about a belief. I never insulted anyone directly or called anyone names or cursed them.
Here in the USA, "tool" means "an uncool person, a jerk, or a loser"..I looked it up..lol I won't say what it means in slang, or I'll get banned..lol So whoever said tool, most probably was referring to somebody as a jerk.
You have to remember, that what is considered a swear in the UK, is not always considered as a swear word in the USA.. The words "tool" and "fanny" mean something completely different here in the U.S. I tell my cat to move her fanny all the time, cuz she's always underfoot!! Just keep in mind that the majority of us are from America, and when we say some word, it does'nt always mean to us what it might mean to you.
Do you think that when some one stands trial in a court that our Lord has more respect for the family that forgives the murderer who killed their family member, or the family that wants nothing but him put to death ?
