where someone initiates the effort in labor of planning a garden & reaping the harvest, he or she she can be proud of the produce. that pride within yourself is not sin.
I concur with your estimation.

Thank you, and yes, I am finding I have a lot less energy these days, and did not start anywhere near as many new ones this month
as I have the last couple of months before that... but I did design a new one today, and continue to work on those already started...

I prefer the term "haughty spirit" I also think that's different than pride of accomplishment which I think is okay.

It can be a sin if you brag to others, about the garden or anything else.

I think when people say, we're so blessed or I'm so blessed, etc. that can be a form of pride. We may be giving glory to God and boast in the Lord, but it can be pride in a sinful way if it is used to feel good about ourselves or to brag. I think many in the Christian community are guilty of this.

I just think when people say we're so blessed or I'm so blessed, etc. they can be tone deaf depending on the audience and that can come across as boasting/bragging. For example, the pandemic has allowed many to work from home. So someone may say they are blessed to spend extra time with family, however this is bragging/tone deaf to someone who has to go to the office AND makes it seem he/she is not blessed.

tips for more energy: eat nothing but fruit for 2-3 days with lots of water. eat less in any 1 sitting. start a diet including chia seeds. get rid of all white sugar, white flour, additives, chemicals, fillers, fertilizers & preservatives. in other words, eat totally organic. do not eat heavy foods during summer. add 3cups of your super Christian, joyful, spirit filled, bright, smiley attitude & personality & you are energetic for life!

Just addressing the other persons views and Scripture, I think we can all just post other Scripture and assume the other person sees it as we do
yeah probably ….:some folks think each verse needs to be examined and broken apart others will just read the chapter and let it sink in I think people have different ideas about how to take what the Bible says ….but ultimately people are just different in how they communicate . And that’s okay

I beleive in both ways, context of chapter, book and entire word as well as original language of each passage/verse

The firstfruits of our produce were originally meant to be offered to God.
Also our firstborn offspring...in the OT they were bought back (redeemed) by offering a sacrifice.

Sodom and other towns probably did not do this.
It seems Lot didnt have sons he only had two daughters, though he was seen as righteous, unlike Abraham he didnt offer Isaac as a sacrifice. However he did offer them to be raped?!

I find Lots actions questionable but then he was like the son who chose to keep the best for himself and didnt share. A lot of people do this, they brag about being the best to other people but keep it to themselves, instead of humbly offering the best so others can partake.

Instead of saying 'Im so blessed' christians need to say they are thankful to God, and to Jesus for saving them.
Dont place the focus on yourself and go around saying you are Gods favourite. God has no respect of persons.

How can we have a discussion about pride without the converse be discussed as well?
The ever popular "humility" where two words are synonymous in Hebrew.
One is Misery/miserable...
And the other is humiliated/ridiculed/made sport of/naked (which is synonymous with being a slave)

The opposite definitions must also be examined and distinguished.

Such as what is true humility versus false humility?

Misery/slavery/humiliation.....how do these things fit in with humility?

How are these things opposite of pride?

1 Corinthians 12:13
Thank you for the inspiration .:)
😍Amen this is fulfilled and still being fulfilled

Abraham’s promise foretold of a future seed and a blessed world

“Now the LORD had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will shew thee:

….and I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭12:1, 3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

“And Abraham called the name of that place Jehovah-jireh: as it is said to this day, In the mount of the LORD it shall be seen.

And the angel of the LORD called unto Abraham out of heaven the second time, and said, By myself have I sworn, saith the LORD, for because thou hast done this thing, and hast not withheld thy son, thine only son: that in blessing I will bless thee, and in multiplying I will multiply thy seed as the stars of the heaven, and as the sand which is upon the sea shore; and thy seed shall possess the gate of his ( singular ) enemies; and in thy seed shall all the nations of the earth be blessed; because thou hast obeyed my voice.”
‭‭Genesis‬ ‭22:14-18‬ ‭

And revealed in the flesh of the son of man

“Know ye therefore that they which are of faith, the same are the children of Abraham.

And the scripture, foreseeing that God would justify the heathen through faith, preached before the gospel unto Abraham, saying, In thee shall ( future tense ) all nations be blessed.

So then they which be of faith are blessed with faithful Abraham.

Now to Abraham and his seed were the promises made. He saith not, And to seeds, as of many; but as of one, And to thy seed, which is Christ.

…For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.

And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise.”
‭‭Galatians‬ ‭3:7-9, 16, 26-29‬ ‭KJV‬‬

paul is such a revelator all we need to do is hear the story and promises in tbe ot then read Jesus and Peter and Paul and John ect they actually are revealing the fulfillments of all those promises coming to pass of all nations being blessed through the messiah Jesus Christ the promised son of Abraham and David

“The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.”

‭‭Matthew‬ ‭1:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God always promised a son to be born to men like Abraham and David and they did have sons but there’s always also promises of Christ in those promises to men like Abraham David Moses Noah the Bible is really just designed so well to inderrrsnd it when we realize prophecy ot fulfillment nt and also fusrther prophecy formoir future and the last 2000 years of our world history
