To all that are debating the flesh.
It is the Holy Spirit that was sent by the Father to raise up the Body of Christ.
It is Jehovah that raised up the humanity and the firstfruit that was in Abraham's Bosom.

Romans 6:4; 8:11

It is the Holy Spirit that cleansed the Body.
The same Holy Spirit which is cleansing our mortal bodies now.

Well could you tell me what kind of blood you believe circulates(or will circulate) in the believer when they dwell in Heaven?
And what kind of flesh you believe they will have?
Please keep it as simple as possible, for I am a simple man
nope, you can have fun with the others, I have wasted enough time here.

And again, my post from page 7 for those people who asked a question, haven't bothered to read people's replies and then get upset about people supposedly not answering their question:

Flesh and blood (sinful humanity) can't enter the Kingdom of Heaven. Flesh and blood (physical humanity - renewed creations) can enter the Kingdom of God. Jesus was and is 100% God and 100% Man but never fell to sin. He ascended into Heaven in a physical body but was both Spirit and Man and will remain this way forever.
Simple as that.
Tin!
"Flesh and blood (physical humanity - renewed creations) can enter the Kingdom of God."

this is very true:) - even we are already in the Kingdom and we are flesh and blood!
and we don't even have glorified bodies yet.
what a Day that will be!

So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption: It is sown in dishonour; it is raised in glory: it is sown in weakness; it is raised in power: It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body. And so it is written, The first man Adam was made a living soul; the last Adam was made a quickening spirit.

We do know that when Jesus was raised, he was "flesh and bone" and that "flesh and bone" was different because he could vanish, he could appear, and his appearance could change. But I do believe that when he ascended into heaven that his "flesh and bone" body was changed to a "spiritual body".
hi peacefulbeliever:)
okay....but does that "spiritual body" have to be immaterial?
does it have to no longer be His Human Body?
why can it not be His transformed Human Body?

is Jesus a phantom of some kind now?

i personally believe He ascended in His very same Body, which was Glorified and Transformed.

Revelation 7:9
After this I looked and there before me was a great multitude that no one could count, from every nation, tribe, people and language, standing before the throne and in front of the Lamb. They were wearing white robes and were holding palm branches in their hands.

unless this is 100% figurative and not real in any sense we know of, these people are wearing clothes and they have bodies.
they apparently still retain visible ethnicity.

why wouldn't He choose to do it this way?

there doesn't have to be blood.

Then are we to disregard 1 Cor. 15, the whole context of which is speaking of the resurrection? Scripture says "flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption." We are renewed spiritually, being born again of God's spirit and spiritually we are seated in heavenly places in Christ [Eph. 2:6]; but at this time we are still in corruptible bodies. . . ."For this corruptible must put on incorruption and this mortal must put on immortality".

Sorry, I see you were posting when I was posting!!!

Hi Zone:
God is Spirit but yet scripture gives him physical attributes. . .I'm not sure how the "spiritual body" will manifest itself but I have to go with scripture and I know that we will all be changed. Nope, there doesn't have to be blood - but it also says flesh - whatever our resurrected bodies consist of will be of a spiritual nature - what that is - scripture is not real clear. Could there be a spiritual "flesh"? As I said, scripture is not clear. . .but we can know this: Beloved, now are we the sons of God, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that, when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.

But some man will say, How are the dead raised up? and with what body do they come?. . . . .All flesh is not the same flesh: but there is one kind of flesh of men, another flesh of beasts, another of fishes, and another of birds. There are also celestial bodies, and bodies terrestrial: but the glory of the celestial is one and the glory of the terrestrial is another. . . .So also is the resurrection of the dead. It is sown in corruption; it is raised in incorruption. . . .It is sown a natural body; it is raised a spiritual body. There is a natural body, and there is a spiritual body.

for sure peacefulbeliever:)
we shall certainly be changed.

1 Corinthians 15
Mystery and Victory

50I tell you this, brothers: flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God, nor does the perishable inherit the imperishable. 51Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, 52in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. 53For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. 54When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written:

1 Thessalonians 4
The Coming of the Lord

13But we do not want you to be uninformed, brothers, about those who are asleep, that you may not grieve as others do who have no hope. 14For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep. 15For this we declare to you by a word from the Lord,d that we who are alive, who are left until the coming of the Lord, will not precede those who have fallen asleep. 16For the Lord himself will descend from heaven with a cry of command, with the voice of an archangel, and with the sound of the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. 17Then we who are alive, who are left, will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air, and so we will always be with the Lord. 18Therefore encourage one another with these words.

Jesus replied, “You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God. [SUP]30 [/SUP]At the resurrection people will neither marry nor be given in marriage; they will be like the angels in heaven.
Matt22:30

Are not all angels ministering spirits sent to serve those who will inherit salvation?
Heb1:14

Seems to me some are desperate to cling onto their flesh in the hereafter(though with some modifications)

I like your answer.
However, as you have not voiced an opinon on this subject yet(I guess I'd hope you were a nuetral on it)
We obviously rely on our 7 or 8 pints of blood for our mortal bodies to live.
If we have bodies with blood in them in the kingdom of God, why would that be unless we relied on blood to live?
It wouldn't be there if that was not the case would it?

But our bodies are going to change, the perishable will be changed to the imperishable, the mortal, to the immortal
Would an immortal body require blood to flow through it in Heaven to live?

I can't see it myself
Then there is Paul's plain statement in 1Cor15:50

This is "flesh and blood" as we know it.

1Cr 15:50 KJV - Now this I say, brethren, that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God; neither doth corruption inherit incorruption.
1Cr 15:51 KJV - Behold, I shew you a mystery; We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed,
1Cr 15:52 KJV - In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.

Isa 55:8 KJV - For my thoughts [are] not your thoughts, neither [are] your ways my ways, saith the LORD.
Isa 55:9 KJV - For [as] the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts.

Does the Father change his mind?
Jhn 6:39 KJV - And this is the Father's will which hath sent me, that of all which he hath given me I should lose nothing, but should raise it up again at the last day.

And if we read on:
Jhn 6:48 KJV - I am that bread of life.
Jhn 6:49 KJV - Your fathers did eat manna in the wilderness, and are dead.
Jhn 6:50 KJV - This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die.
Jhn 6:51 KJV - I am the living bread which came down from heaven: if any man eat of this bread, he shall live for ever: and the bread that I will give is my flesh, which I will give for the life of the world.
Jhn 6:52 KJV - The Jews therefore strove among themselves, saying, How can this man give us [his] flesh to eat?
Jhn 6:53 KJV - Then Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except ye eat the flesh of the Son of man, and drink his blood, ye have no life in you.
Jhn 6:54 KJV - Whoso eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, hath eternal life; and I will raise him up at the last day.
Jhn 6:55 KJV - For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed.
Jhn 6:56 KJV - He that eateth my flesh, and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.

If you read my latest coment to Crossfire, I wrote that scripture does not state Christ entered Heaven in the same state/form he was in when he left this earth, so I have no definitive knowledge as to exactly how he entered Heavern. If others have first hand knowledge of this, they are able to share it in this thread.

I stick to what I know according to scripture
Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God
Rev 4:1 KJV - After this I looked, and, behold, a door [was] opened in heaven: and the first voice which I heard [was] as it were of a trumpet talking with me; which said, Come up hither, and I will shew thee things which must be hereafter.
Rev 4:2 KJV - And immediately I was in the spirit: and, behold, a throne was set in heaven, and [one] sat on the throne.

Rev 5:6 KJV - And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth.

What more do you need???

Doesn't the Bible state that 'flesh' cannot inherit the Kingdom of God?
Flesh in almost all Paul's writings (and perhaps others) refers to sinfulness.
Sin cannot be in heaven. And cannot be in the Kingdom of God to come (they are not the same place).
When Jesus ascended he was a solid body - but that is not, perhaps, how he ended up entering Heaven to sit at God's right hand. All that we know is that two angels (messengers of God) said Jesus would return in the same way he had ascended.

Surely the most important thing in this thread is that Jesus sits at the right hand of God.
That is neither 'one' or 'equal' - which are basic statements about the trinity aren't they?
The sin was washed away with his blood.

Rev 1:5 KJV - And from Jesus Christ, [who is] the faithful witness, [and] the first begotten of the dead, and the prince of the kings of the earth. Unto him that loved us, and washed us from our sins in his own blood,

This is the bread which cometh down from heaven, that a man may eat thereof, and not die(have eternal life)

I tell you the truth whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life, and will not be condemned. He has passed over from death to life
John5:24

John6:68

I tell you the truth, if anyone keeps my word he shall never see death

When you have lifted up the Son of Man, then you will know that I am the one I claim to be and that I do nothing on my own but speak just what the Father has taught me. [SUP]2

When they went across the lake, the disciples forgot to take bread. [SUP]6 [/SUP]“Be careful,” Jesus said to them. “Be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.”[SUP]7 [/SUP]They discussed this among themselves and said, “It is because we didn’t bring any bread.”
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Aware of their discussion, Jesus asked, “You of little faith, why are you talking among yourselves about having no bread? [SUP]9 [/SUP]Do you still not understand? Don’t you remember the five loaves for the five thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered? [SUP]10 [/SUP]Or the seven loaves for the four thousand, and how many basketfuls you gathered? [SUP]11 [/SUP]How is it you don’t understand that I was not talking to you about bread? But be on your guard against the yeast of the Pharisees and Sadducees.” [SUP]12 [/SUP]Then they understood that he was not telling them to guard against the yeast used in bread, but against the teaching of the Pharisees and Sadducees.

I apologize but I'm not sure what you are trying to say to me. . .I also believe that we will be raised up again the last day.

Are you saying that we actually have to eat Jesus flesh and drink his blood to have eternal life?

Maybe you could explain what you mean by using these verses. Please forgive my ignorance!
:eek:Thanks.
