ps, An argument is when two people argue their views. and usually neither side can prove their view..and usually turns out to get heated.

An argument is not exposing someone for doing something, then proving his or her point. when the other person gets mad and says they did not do something

Hey guys, how bout this:
Romans 12:18
If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all.

Wouldn't want this to turn into another one of "those threads."

Must we fight?
I personally like the idea of allowing the bible to speak for itself. It says a decent amount if we let it.

For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God,
Ephesians 2:8

fairly plain to me really. That said I know that sin affects my life in a very negative way. I sin and it creates a rift in the relationship I have with God but the good that I do (I actually do any) aren't from a heart trying to earn salvation...He gifted that to us. The good deeds we do come from a desire to please someone we love and a compassion He has given us to reach people around us.

I refuse to read a thread that large because I'm just not that bored. But that's my take on it.

The bible also says when you see a brother or sister sin, Call them out on it.

She made a false statement, I called her out on it, You all should also.. as should everyone else. Is it fair to other people who the false statement is made against?

then maybe these stupid squables would disappear.

How silly can you be.

You post said no one said WORKS ALONE. That was my argument,

Now you changed it, and said by works and left out the word alone, Did you do this on purpose, or was your original post a mistake? .

ps. Many people in that thread preach works, Whether they admit it or not is not the question.

But that does not matter,

YOUR POST SAID, NOT BY WORKS ALONE. or ALONE BY WORKS

here, lets see it again.

so would you like to

1. Apologize? because you did not mean to say WORKS ONLY, or ONLY BY WORKS. but you just meant to say works.
2. Admit you meant to say works ONLY and ONLY by works, in which case you can apologize to me, because I was right.
3. Continue you war against me, and continue to be proven to be dishonest..

I Know that I am saved by the grace of God because of my Faith in Christ, and as a result of my salvation, I have eternal life.

Now what? Do I sit on my backside and wait for God to move me?

Salvation requires only faith. God requires much more of those who are saved. If you are not motivated to live the word of God, you probably need to check your faith. The word tells us what God expects of His children. Are you guided by His expectations? If not, it's time for a salvation health check.

There is a thread, presently just below, 'Not by works', that apparently is now longer than the Bible.

Can someone summarize it for me?
...yes, and in 25 words or less.

Sure..... the other thread has already rode that dead horse till there's nothing but the mane left, so now they have someone else ride another dead horse so the same foolishness can continue.

Unless..... someone else starts another dead horse thread next week so there will be three of them.

Personally, I didn't know they had enough fake "works proponents" on their payroll to argue with them for two threads.
