Here the Children of Israel are being addressed:

Jer 7:18 The children gather wood, and the fathers kindle the fire, and the women knead their dough, to make cakes to the queen of heaven, and to pour out drink offerings unto other gods, that they may provoke me to anger.
Jer 7:19 Do they provoke me to anger? saith the LORD: do they not provoke themselves to the confusion of their own faces?

Reading before and after this helps understanding. This is not the only reference to the queen of heaven...
Certainly so my friend.

If someone claims that the holocaust didn't happen and they want to debate it, they'll loose (assuming their opponent is competent) because it's an entirely false claim. If someone wants to argue that the earth is flat, they'll loose because it's a false claim.

Same thing.

Merely being confident of the truth doesn't in and of itself make one prideful.

This might hold a lot more water if people were actually willing to either attempt to back up the filthy and demonic lies they speak against Christians and/or if they'd simply admit they are/were wrong for making such claims after being shown to be false.

Look all over this board man. People are speaking and posting all kinds of evil, filthy, demonic lies against Catholic Christians. I admit, I can be hot-headed at times but the onslaught is nonstop.

Put yourself in our shoes for a minute. How would you like it if people went around saying that you were a pagan and witch and worshiped idols and worshiped men and women (and all the other demonically inspired lies that are told about us).

I am calling this the evil of the devil that it is and standing up to it.
yes CJ you are but not in the Spirit of God if I reduce myself to others accusations and retort back how am I any better than those that accuse and abuse
Yuo see brother we are born again of the Spirit of God by the resurrection of Christ at the cross which is exactly what Christ came to do was to give us new life and give it abundantly, where one can rejoice over others condemning them, and not take offense for offenses are of the flesh and are of the Old nature, not of our new nature. so many many need to see this and so many that do see this get easily trapped back into the old flesh nature that is really dead by Christ and a new nature has begun, now allI see that needs to be done is die daily to self and this world and be alive to God daily in God's type of love that is never
[h=3]1 Corinthians 13:4-13[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[SUP]4 [/SUP]Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up; [SUP]5 [/SUP]does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil; [SUP]6 [/SUP]does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; [SUP]7 [/SUP]bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Love never fails. But whether there are prophecies, they will fail; whether there are tongues, they will cease; whether there is knowledge, it will vanish away. [SUP]9 [/SUP]For we know in part and we prophesy in part. [SUP]10 [/SUP]But when that which is perfect has come, then that which is in part will be done away.
[SUP]11 [/SUP]When I was a child, I spoke as a child, I understood as a child, I thought as a child; but when I became a man, I put away childish things. [SUP]12 [/SUP]For now we see in a mirror, dimly, but then face to face. Now I know in part, but then I shall know just as I also am known.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]And now abide faith, hope, love, these three; but the greatest of these is love.

And only God can do this through the one that beleives in God

Actually, no I'm not. I'm not judging any protestants. I'm judging the behavior and actions.

When someone murders, they have committed evil. This is a fact.

When someone steals, they have committed evil. This is a fact.

When someone claims that Catholic Christians worship idols, Mary, the pope, etc., they have beared false witness and so have committed evil. This is a fact.

There is no getting around that.

I never called any one person evil. Only the action.
Oh CJ Brother and you are
2 Corinthians 10:6and being ready to punish all disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.

Christ's was and is and he did not condemn ne had Mercy and by this alone I take

1 Corinthians 9:27But I discipline my body and bring it into subjection, lest, when I have preached to others, I myself should become disqualified.

Jesus is my King and Deity and the Church is my Kingdom and Christianity is my religion.

I am going to enter into a monastery at the first available opportunity and from there work as a missionary while pursuing becoming a priest.
I am elated for you for God has recieved you and I am not going to dispute with you over doubtful things for one eats all things and another eats only vegetables, so I therfore see to not judge or despise, you have claimed Christ as your savior and halleluah for this and desire to serve Christ
Now for me in the growth that God has shown me is there is only one true tabernacle and is in Heaven, the kingdom where Christ is at the right side of Father at rest. waiting to come down from above one more time coming down with the true tabernacle at the time appointed whenever that time might come as Father directs, anyway read it please Hebrews 8. Now I am not saying do not go to a Cathoilc Church or any other one, I am saying keepthis on mind and truth that hter is only one
[h=3]Hebrews 8:1-2[/h]New King James Version (NKJV)

[h=3]The New Priestly Service[/h]8 Now this is the main point of the things we are saying: We have such a High Priest, who is seated at the right hand of the throne of the Majesty in the heavens, [SUP]2 [/SUP]a Minister of the sanctuary and of the true tabernacle which the Lord erected, and not man.

(Now I get to say this, and I love it from a bumper sticker, "God said it; I believe it; that settles it.)
I used to quote that also, until the Lord corrected me. It should be: "God said it, and that settles it, whether I believe it or not!"

I consider that some people belonging to the catholic church do not know the extent of what takes places under that religion.

I doubt if i visited a town in america i would find mary statues on corners throughout like i witnessed in some parts of italia..

I have never witnessed people pulling statues along but Jack in spain witnesses this.

All that said when the pope is pictured time and time again in front of mary statues, or another taking flowers to an image, should not those of that religion consider why they do these things, even if they themselves do not?

Reading the Bible i learnt that this is not pleasing to Heavenly Father and that is where my heart is.

i don't hate the people or bash them but try to inform them.. it puzzles me why they do not take heed and want to please Heavenly Father.

I for one will pray for strength and guidance on this matter.

i mean no one no evil but without mocking the Truth must be offered.

All those that were victims of the dark ages did not waiver but suffered torture for not accepting such things that many are willing to overlook for 'unity'.. no that is not how it ends my friends.

It seems the manner of perceiving the understood in grammar is being lost. Of course that final part, "That settles it" would have "for me" understood at the end in the context of the other two sentences..........Anything God says is settled (for me.) It is the same principle as when employing the imperative, example "Go," you go is understood.....................

I used to quote that also, until the Lord corrected me. It should be: "God said it, and that settles it, whether I believe it or not!"

All is well.

Hebrews 4

Seeing then that we have a great high priest, that is passed into the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our profession.15For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin. 16Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need.
Hebrews 7

By so much was Jesus made a surety of a better testament.23And they truly were many priests, because they were not suffered to continue by reason of death: 24But this man, because he continueth ever, hath an unchangeable priesthood. 25Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.26For such an high priest became us, who is holy, harmless, undefiled, separate from sinners, and made higher than the heavens;27Who needeth not daily, as those high priests, to offer up sacrifice, first for his own sins, and then for the people's: for this he did once, when he offered up himself. 28For the law maketh men high priests which have infirmity; but the word of the oath, which was since the law, maketh the Son, who is consecrated for evermore.

John 4

20Our fathers worshipped in this mountain; and ye say, that in Jerusalem is the place where men ought to worship. 21Jesus saith unto her, Woman, believe me, the hour cometh, when ye shall neither in this mountain, nor yet at Jerusalem, worship the Father. 22Ye worship ye know not what: we know what we worship: for salvation is of the Jews. 23But the hour cometh, and now is, when the true worshippers shall worship the Father in spirit and in truth: for the Father seeketh such to worship him. 24God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth. 25The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. 26Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.
Revelation 21

And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. 2And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. 4And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.5And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful.6And he said unto me, It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is athirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. 7He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son. 8But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.

Ephesians 5

See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, 16Redeeming the time, because the days are evil. 17Wherefore be ye not unwise, but understanding what the will of the Lord is. 18And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;19Speaking to yourselves in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord; 20Giving thanks always for all things unto God and the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ; 21Submitting yourselves one to another in the fear of God

Powerful Prayer.

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.10Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven.11Give us this day our daily bread.12And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.13And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. We forgave after the cross and love after because we after the cross are forgiven and loved big differance in having to and doing
we love becasue he first loved us and I know oyu probably see this because I see youdoing this automatically so you know and thanks

Sola Scriptura is the doctrine and practice of scripture alone, or that the Bible alone is the final authority on all matters of Christian faith. This doctrine is a complete and total fiction.

Being Catholic Christian, I, of course, reject this doctrine. I could list all the usual reasons that Catholic Christians and Rabbinical Jews give for rejecting this doctrine but the point is entirely moot as it's never practiced anyway.

In fact, Sola Scriptura (SS) is wholly impossible to practice due to the imprecise nature of language and because each and every person person has their own experiences, biases and prejudices, all of which influence and color the way that they understand language in general and the Bible specifically.

The Catholic Christian Church interprets the Bible by the guidance of the Oral Tradition that was first given to Moses from God at Mt. Sinai. Starting with Martin Luther, protestants increasingly abandoned the Oral Tradition. But instead of actually practicing SS, protestants just made up their own traditions or returned to pre-Christian pagan traditions and their man-made traditions became their authority instead. The result is that protestantism is divided into a million and one different denominations, all of which preach a different gospel with a different Jesus and a different doctrine and a different plan of salvation.

In some parts of the USA, namely the so-called "Bible Belt," one can find a different protestant establishment on literally every other street corner and each one is quite literally teaching and practicing a different religion and worshiping a different deity. Many of these religions have no similarity at all with each other beyond that they all claim the Bible as their sole authority and that they call their disparate deities by the same name, Jesus.
Scripture alone is not how God works, the words of the bible are complemented with power, with His Holy Spirit, and, deep conviction on your life. Your having received the Gospel came with a 'price.' :)

1 Thessalonians 1:5 "For when we brought you the Good News, it was not only with words but also with power, for the Holy Spirit gave you full assurance that what we said was true. And you know of our concern for you from the way we lived when we were with you."

Praying to whom that statue represents. Not worshipping her. Talking to her. Asking for her help. Not making her more important than Christ! Just talking with her. Don't panic people. Stop hyperventilating.

Can we unban CatholicJeremy? I was gone for a week and never got the chance to face off with him. I would feel kind of silly posting to what he has said now seeing as he is not here anymore.

Probably won't happen but couldn't hurt to ask :)

Exodus

20 And God spake all these words, saying,
[SUP]2 [/SUP]I am the Lord thy God, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]Thou shalt have no other gods before me.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
[SUP]5 [/SUP]Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
[SUP]6 [/SUP]And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
[SUP]7 [/SUP]Thou shalt not take the name of the Lord thy God in vain; for the Lord will not hold him guiltless that taketh his name in vain.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work:
[SUP]10 [/SUP]But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates:
[SUP]11 [/SUP]For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Honour thy father and thy mother: that thy days may be long upon the land which theLord thy God giveth thee.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]Thou shalt not kill.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]Thou shalt not commit adultery.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]Thou shalt not steal.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]Thou shalt not bear false witness against thy neighbour.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]Thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's house, thou shalt not covet thy neighbour's wife, nor his manservant, nor his maidservant, nor his ox, nor his ass, nor any thing that is thy neighbour's.
Isaiah 42

42 Behold my servant, whom I uphold; mine elect, in whom my soul delighteth; I have put my spirit upon him: he shall bring forth judgment to the Gentiles.[SUP]2 [/SUP]He shall not cry, nor lift up, nor cause his voice to be heard in the street.
[SUP]3 [/SUP]A bruised reed shall he not break, and the smoking flax shall he not quench: he shall bring forth judgment unto truth.
[SUP]4 [/SUP]He shall not fail nor be discouraged, till he have set judgment in the earth: and the isles shall wait for his law.

[SUP]5 [/SUP]Thus saith God the Lord, he that created the heavens, and stretched them out; he that spread forth the earth, and that which cometh out of it; he that giveth breath unto the people upon it, and spirit to them that walk therein[SUP]6 [/SUP]I the Lord have called thee in righteousness, and will hold thine hand, and will keep thee, and give thee for a covenant of the people, for a light of the Gentiles;[SUP]7 [/SUP]To open the blind eyes, to bring out the prisoners from the prison, and them that sit in darkness out of the prison house.
[SUP]8 [/SUP]I am the Lord: that is my name: and my glory will I not give to another, neither my praise to graven images.
[SUP]9 [/SUP]Behold, the former things are come to pass, and new things do I declare: before they spring forth I tell you of them.
[SUP]10 [/SUP]Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise from the end of the earth, ye that go down to the sea, and all that is therein; the isles, and the inhabitants thereof.

[SUP]11 [/SUP]Let the wilderness and the cities thereof lift up their voice, the villages that Kedar doth inhabit: let the inhabitants of the rock sing, let them shout from the top of the mountains.
[SUP]12 [/SUP]Let them give glory unto the Lord, and declare his praise in the islands.
[SUP]13 [/SUP]The Lord shall go forth as a mighty man, he shall stir up jealousy like a man of war: he shall cry, yea, roar; he shall prevail against his enemies.
[SUP]14 [/SUP]I have long time holden my peace; I have been still, and refrained myself: now will I cry like a travailing woman; I will destroy and devour at once.
[SUP]15 [/SUP]I will make waste mountains and hills, and dry up all their herbs; and I will make the rivers islands, and I will dry up the pools.
[SUP]16 [/SUP]And I will bring the blind by a way that they knew not; I will lead them in paths that they have not known: I will make darkness light before them, and crooked things straight. These things will I do unto them, and not forsake them.
[SUP]17 [/SUP]They shall be turned back, they shall be greatly ashamed, that trust in graven images, that say to the molten images, Ye are our gods.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]Hear, ye deaf; and look, ye blind, that ye may see.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]Who is blind, but my servant? or deaf, as my messenger that I sent? who is blind as he that is perfect, and blind as the Lord's servant?
[SUP]20 [/SUP]Seeing many things, but thou observest not; opening the ears, but he heareth not.
[SUP]21[/SUP]The Lord is well pleased for his righteousness' sake; he will magnify the law, and make it honourable.
[SUP]22 [/SUP]But this is a people robbed and spoiled; they are all of them snared in holes, and they are hid in prison houses: they are for a prey, and none delivereth; for a spoil, and none saith, Restore.
[SUP]23 [/SUP]Who among you will give ear to this? who will hearken and hear for the time to come?
[SUP]24[/SUP]Who gave Jacob for a spoil, and Israel to the robbers? did not the Lord, he against whom we have sinned? for they would not walk in his ways, neither were they obedient unto his law.

[SUP]25 [/SUP]Therefore he hath poured upon him the fury of his anger, and the strength of battle: and it hath set him on fire round about, yet he knew not; and it burned him, yet he laid it not to heart.:

Matthew 5

[SUP]17 [/SUP]Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
[SUP]18 [/SUP]For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
[SUP]19 [/SUP]Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.
[SUP]20 [/SUP]For I say unto you, That except your righteousness shall exceed the righteousness of the scribes and Pharisees, ye shall in no case enter into the kingdom of heaven.

It is Christ who saves us. Not any church organization. I was a Catholic for 35 years. Tradition is easily changed of over time.

WOW MAN!!!!!!!! God bless you richly, brother, and may the Holy Spirit continue to guide you on this ABSOLUTELY AWESOME journey you're on. You'll be in my prayers. That's exciting, mate.
hey where you been, I missed you man. How are you doing, Had any growth lately, i am sure you have, me too.
Good to hear from you. I know after many discussions with you that christ is your life whether yougoto Cathlolice Church, protestant Church or any Church, your entire goalis to know the Savior Jesus Christ
Therefore i put in here for you and all to eat

Lesson your judgement of others. You never see the whole picture. Never.
there are 1,000 reasons a person can behave a particular way. You don't know what is going on in their movie that motivates them to act in that way. You never know how you'd behave if you were in their shoes. Today little by little, learn to be more forgiving. Learn to where you can come from a place of help, rather than Judgement.

Judgements are only based on what one sees, from their owns thoughts. From their own experiences. There is truly only one that knows all. that one would be and is the creator of all.
If one learns to listen to the creator as Jesus Christ revealed to all mankind. (He taught us, to do nothing or say nothing w/o Father's instruction first and foremost), we would make the right judgements, with out condemnation. ( coming from the one listening)
The ones that argued would reveal their true selves, as was done in the day of visitation from our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
Steer clear from arguements, seek the truth in all things and one shall be free from the world and it's traps.
A man must learn to understand the motives of human beings, their illusions, and their sufferings.

then therefore go to God for the below

"Comfort Me by letting Me know that you would see Me just to dwell in My Presence. Not for teaching, not for material gain, not even for a message, but for Me. The longing of the human heart to be loved for itself is something caught from the Great Divine Heart."
