Ok lets try this a different way. How can the temple of God in 2Th_2:3 be a building built by hands when the temple of God is no longer a physical building built by hands?
How can satan stand in a temple that is not a temple made with hands?

can satan over power god?

Easy, because you added Satan and Satan standing, Satan isn't mentioned in any of those verses. The man of sin is our old man not Satan. You're keying in on the false pretense that Satan is the man of sin. You should be keying in on what the the temple of God is because that's already defined for us.

(2Th 2:3) Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;
(2Th 2:4) Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

The bible says that God was finished with Israel forever when the summer fruit was gathered.

(Amo 8:1) Thus hath the Lord GOD shewed unto me: and behold a basket of summer fruit.
(Amo 8:2) And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the LORD unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more.

And I agree, Israel is not equivalent to the church.
Amos lived in the 700's BC. So if what you say here is true that God was "finished with Israel" in the 700 BC., then why does the OT give so much more time to the literal nation of Israel? - there are many books (prophets) written between 700 and 400 B.C. - and there are many literal prophecies given and fulfilled for the literal nation of Israel during this time - such as the return from captivity!

I do not think that God was "finished with Israel forever in the 700's "BC. - He was very much involved in the return allowed by Cyrus, etc.

So I don't think those verses mean what you say . . . Sorry . . . - Any other "proof texts" that God is finished with Israel forever? ;)

You were baptist right. Your old man fell backwards into the water and the new man rose up from the water. That man who fell backward into the water is the man of sin who used to opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God.

But before that falling away can happen, the man of sin has to be revealed. We have to see that we are sinners in need of salvation.

Nice interpretation
but I can’t buy it considering dan 9 and other prophecies if this even which contradicts it

No I don't believe the kingdom of God is in that dump called Israel. God was done with Israel at the cross. The kingdom of God is not of this world, it's a spiritual kingdom. For us the kingdom of God is within us until we're taken to heaven.

Psalm 103:8-13 (HCSB)
8 The LORD is compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and rich in faithful love.
9 He will not always accuse ⌊us⌋ or be angry forever.
10 He has not dealt with us as our sins deserve or repaid us according to our offenses.
11 For as high as the heavens are above the earth, so great is His faithful love toward those who fear Him.
12 As far as the east is from the west, so far has He removed our transgressions from us.
13 As a father has compassion on his children, so the LORD has compassion on those who fear Him.

2 Chronicles 30:7-9 (NCV)
7 Don’t be like your ancestors or your relatives. They turned against the LORD, the God of their ancestors, so he caused other people to be disgusted with them. You know this is true.
8 Don’t be stubborn as your ancestors were, but obey the LORD willingly. Come to the Temple, which he has made holy forever. Serve the LORD your God so he will not be angry with you.
9 Come back to the LORD. Then the people who captured your relatives and children will be kind to them and will let them return to this land. The LORD your God is kind and merciful. He will not turn away from you if you return to him.

Isaiah 57:16 (HCSB)
16 For I will not accuse ⌊you⌋ forever, and I will not always be angry; for then the spirit would grow weak before Me, even the breath ⌊of man⌋, which I have made.

Jeremiah 3:12 (HCSB)
12 Go, proclaim these words to the north, and say: Return, unfaithful Israel. ⌊This is⌋ the LORD’s declaration. I will not look on you with anger, for I am unfailing in My love. ⌊This is⌋ the LORD’s declaration. I will not be angry forever.

Micah 7:18-20 (HCSB)
18 Who is a God like You, removing iniquity and passing over rebellion for the remnant of His inheritance? He does not hold on to His anger forever, because He delights in faithful love.
19 He will again have compassion on us; He will vanquish our iniquities. You will cast all our sins into the depths of the sea.
20 You will show loyalty to Jacob and faithful love to Abraham, as You swore to our fathers from days long ago.

Isaiah 54:5-6 (HCSB)
5 Indeed, your husband is your Maker— His name is Yahweh of Hosts— and the Holy One of Israel is your Redeemer; He is called the God of all the earth.
6 For the LORD has called you, like a wife deserted and wounded in spirit, a wife of one’s youth when she is rejected,” says your God.

Isaiah 62:5 (HCSB)
5 For as a young man marries a young woman, so your sons will marry you; and as a groom rejoices over ⌊his⌋ bride, so your God will rejoice over you.

2 Chronicles 6:4 (NJB)
4 He said, ‘Blessed be Yahweh, God of Israel, who has carried out by his hand what he promised verbally to my father David, when he said,

Exodus 34:5-9 (HCSB)
5 The LORD came down in a cloud, stood with him there, and proclaimed ⌊His⌋ name Yahweh.
6 Then the LORD passed in front of him and proclaimed: Yahweh—Yahweh is a compassionate and gracious God, slow to anger and rich in faithful love and truth,
7 maintaining faithful love to a thousand ⌊generations⌋, forgiving wrongdoing, rebellion, and sin. But He will not leave ⌊the guilty⌋ unpunished, bringing the consequences of the fathers’ wrongdoing on the children and grandchildren to the third and fourth generation.
8 Moses immediately bowed down to the ground and worshiped.
9 Then he said, “My Lord, if I have indeed found favor in Your sight, my Lord, please go with us. Even though this is a stiff-necked people, forgive our wrongdoing and sin, and accept us as Your own possession.”

1 Chronicles 16:15-18 (KJV)
15 Be ye mindful always of his covenant; the word which he commanded to a thousand generations;
16 Even of the covenant which he made with Abraham, and of his oath unto Isaac;
17 And hath confirmed the same to Jacob for a law, and to Israel for an everlasting covenant,
18 Saying, Unto thee will I give the land of Canaan, the lot of your inheritance;

You can post all the verses in the bible you want, but none of them CONTRADICT Amos 8.... you're interpretation of those verses contradict Amos but the true interpretation is right in line with Amos.

Stick with simple easy to understand verses like Amos and you'll never go astray.

Like I said before. I can not interpret prophecy the way you do.

prophecy is not a teaching tool, it is a tool used by God to prove to the people living at that time he is real, and he is the one true god. All prophecy already fulfilled has been fulfilled that way.

to use it to try to teach a spiritual truth would negate the meaning of prophecy and actually cause it to fail in its true purpose

What makes you think Daniel 9 has anything to do with this?
Dan 9 speaks of the very event paul mentions,, how else besides dan 9 and other OT prophecies could the people even understand what paul was speaking about,

Daniel 9 is about the end of Israel and the annoiting of the Messiah. Paul is talking about the person who sits in the temple of God, The Temple of God, not a building built by the Jews, but the REAL temple of God. The two passages are totally unrelated.

As for amos 8, god said prety much the same in Amos 7

Amos 7:7–11 (NKJV): Thus He showed me: Behold, the Lord stood on a wall made with a plumb line, with a plumb line in His hand. 8 And the Lord said to me, “Amos, what do you see?”
And I said, “A plumb line.”
Then the Lord said: “Behold, I am setting a plumb line In the midst of My people Israel; I will not pass by them anymore.

Only here he also gives us when this will happen

9 The high places of Isaac shall be desolate, And the sanctuaries of Israel shall be laid waste. I will rise with the sword against the house of Jeroboam.” Complaint
10 Then Amaziah the priest of Bethel sent to Jeroboam king of Israel, saying, “Amos has conspired against you in the midst of the house of Israel. The land is not able to bear all his words. 11 For thus Amos has said: ‘Jeroboam shall die by the sword, And Israel shall surely be led away captive From their own land.’ ”

this was fulfilled when assyria led isreal (the northern kingdom) away captive, or have you forgotten about his?

as for gods promise to the children of jacob, god tells us about this, and this has yet to be fuleilled

ez 37
11 Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’ 12 Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel. 13 Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves. 14 I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,” says the Lord.’ ”

Then say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land; 22 and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king over them all; they shall no longer be two nations, nor shall they ever be divided into two kingdoms again. 23 They shall not defile themselves anymore with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will deliver them from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. Then they shall be My people, and I will be their God.

Then they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, where your fathers dwelt; and they shall dwell there, they, their children, and their children’s children, forever; and My servant David shall be their prince forever. 26 Moreover I will [c]make a covenant of peace with them, and it shall be an everlasting covenant with them; I will establish them and multiply them, and I will set My sanctuary in their midst forevermore. 27 My tabernacle also shall be with them; indeed I will be their God, and they shall be My people. 28 The nations also will know that I, the Lord, sanctify Israel, when My sanctuary is in their midst forevermore.” ’ ”

the person who sits in the temple is the abomination which makes desolate who comes long after messiah has come and gone, during a 7 year treat of some sort, where the man of sin sets himself up in the temple Holy of holies, for the whole wold to see,, again look at all Ot prophecy, this is not the only place which states this

As far as Amos goes, and God never passing by that nation of Israel again, It has been fulfilled and always will be

when God took Israel out of Egypt, he made them one nation in the land, many years later, that one nations split into 2 nations

the northern was called Israel, the southern judah

according to Amos, god said he would and did remove that northern kingdom forever, his hand will never pass by that particular nation ever again

when God restores them (see ez 37 and many many other prophecies) it will be restored as the original nation, Before the split, this, is not the same nation God destroyed,

The plumb line in Amos 7 was Jesus. All of Amos 7 and Amos 8 is about Jesus coming and taking the kingdom from Israel. That's when summer came.

(Mat 24:32) Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh:

Jesus is pointing to Amos 8.

(Amo 8:2) And he said, Amos, what seest thou? And I said, A basket of summer fruit. Then said the LORD unto me, The end is come upon my people of Israel; I will not again pass by them any more.

When the summer fruit was gathered, the end of Israel came and according to Amos 8 it is forever. God will never use the nation of Israel again. There will still be Jews that get saved and become Christians but as far as God using the nation of Israel for anything, it's not going to happen.

1.isreal was destroyed as Amos said by assyria everything he said in Amos 7 and 8 came to pass
2. ezek 37 says god is not done with the two nation form of israel as does many other prophecies
3. the Israel in Amos 7-8 did not exist in Jesus day, Judah did

This is what Daniel 9 is about.

(Dan 9:24) Seventy weeks are determined upon thy people and upon thy holy city, to finish the transgression, and to make an end of sins, and to make reconciliation for iniquity, and to bring in everlasting righteousness, and to seal up the vision and prophecy, and to anoint the most Holy.

The final transgression was killing Jesus. The end of sins were made when Christ died and covered our sins and the same with reconciliation for iniquity and everlasting righteousness. Everything about Daniel 9 is about Jesus and the end of Israel.
