Are you for real? Faith is a gift???
Yes, I'm for real and faith is a gift. Romans 12:3; Philippians 1:29; 2 Peter 1:1; Acts 3:16.

That you don't know this most basic truth, and the fact that you deny clear things seen in Scripture is remarkable.

HAHA OH LORD help this man
He already has. :)

Well said Ella, I also like the 1 John 4 passage you mentioned at the end. I have found that people that are offended by the Grace of God are trusting in their own moral goodness and that's an ugly thing to see. For those who truly know Christ, he doesn't want them worrying from day to day if they will be judged, we are called to freedom from the law and because of that we can strive to love one another from the heart, the scriptures say we serve in the newness of the spirt not the oldness of the law.
Amen...the bible is clear....belief into the finished work of Crist on the cross on our behalf = salvation, justified, sanctified positionally and sealed unto the day of redemption.....end of story....any work, fruit, etc. that follows are the result of the faith and salvation one already possesses in Christ...<---the simplicity that is found in Christ.....period!

The fact that you continue to judge people like you are all that and a bag of chips is even more remarkable....more judgmental Pharisee-ism

Hilarious.......more cake taking!

I can sum up your problem in 1 statement...
No, actually you can't, as my problem is with your truncated gospel, anger, name-calling, false accusations, jumping to false conclusions, false teachings and much much more. :)

You don't have a clue and have said nothing in your list above
Oh, I have a clue alright. Your gospel is truncated, it is like 1/1000th of the whole truth and cannot bear to be challenged with Scripture and truth.

....is that the Christian fruit you are bragging about that shows your salvation?
Bragging? Where did I brag? More lies? Yes, more lies from you. Is that some more of your fruit?

Yes, there is fruit in it, it is witnessed in exposing your truncated version of the true Gospel. PeterJens nailed you, and you can't see it. Perhaps instead of arguing online all day long, day in and day out, you should actually seek out someone solid in Gospel truth to help you understand biblical truth as you are amiss in many areas.

Look, more name calling, and no addressing of Scripture.

You really just don't like the Bible much, eh? Refute the Scripture instead of going ad hominem.

It's hilarious that people like you who preach a truncated gospel equate correction with being judgmental, while, you know, you name call. LOL!!!!!!!!!!! :)

If the boot fits.....this all began with me CORRECTING you and adding three exceptions to your rigmarole hard fast rules and you came back gins blazing and all accusatory...so....wear your boot....your attitude, accusations, name calling and judgmental attitude proves that your evidence is a little lacking the spiritual grouping....with me..at least I admit I need Jesus and his faith....good luck with your embellished gospel....

It is apparent dcontroversal, that you will not address the Scriptures given you but instead resort to personal attacks, slander, lies, name calling, ridicule. It's really shameful and the truth of the matter is you will not grow in your understanding because you will not endure sound doctrine and cannot and will not allow Scripture to correct you.

Anyhow, get your last slam in, I won't address you any longer, Romans 16:17.

Good.......when You can respond decently without falsehoods, judgmental accusations and literal truth then cool...if not....no skin off my back...

here for your enjoyment

Be not removed from the simplicity that is found in JESUS<---->If you believe that God has raised him from the dead thou shalt be saved--->it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that BELIEVE-->HE that believes on the SON is having everlasting life.....

This is the gospel...no additions, embellishments and or works.....FAITH<---end of the story!

Hypocrisy and deceit 101. Note the mocking and ridicule towards the Biblical doctrine of faith being a gift that I mentioned along with Scripture proofs:

Are you for real? Faith is a gift???
HAHA OH LORD help this man
Now note the deceit and lies of the follow up:

YEH I KNOW FAITH IS A GIFT!!!
that's why you need to have faith and stop worry about everyone else and worry about your own self before you start criticising <sic> everyone else!!
That is really shameful behavior on the part of a professing believer, deceitful, disingenuous, and an outright lie. No wonder our churches are in such disarray.

A good place to start would be this..........

Joh 8:30 As he was saying these things, many believed in him.

(Many, and TOO many would stop right here, rejoice, and claim them "saved" but read on)

Joh 8:31 So Jesus said to the Jews who had believed him, "If you abide in my word, you are truly my disciples,

(Some here will throw in the false dichotomy of a believer and a disciple. Lewis Sperry Chafer came up with this heresy which is still taught at DTS. It is part and parcel to easy-believe-ism.)
The Bible makes the clear distinction that not all believers will be students(disciples) of His word. Lewis Sperry Chafer just taught the truth on this subject.

Believer=disciple is the relatively new, forced addition to His Word.

The Greek proves Chafer right and your theory wrong.

Believed in vs 30 is in the Aorist tense~~a moment in time that is perpetuated forever.

And to seal the deal

Believed in vs 31 is the perfect/active/participle of Pisteuo~~A action that will continue to exist forever.

Vs 30 is their salvation and are IN HIM. Positional truth

Vs 31 is Jesus Christ going on to their experiential sanctification from his WORD. Don't miss the distinction.

Vs 30 believed IN HIM. Saved. We are IN HIM.

VS 31 Abide in His Word. Disciple. Only learning the mind of Christ can we be a true disciple(Student) of His.

At salvation we are IN HIM. We abide IN HIM as believers.

To become a disciple and live the Christian way of life We abide in HIS WORD. And it takes a lot of study and growing in His grace and knowledge.

Interesting moniker as you offer exactly no Scripture proving your allegation. There is no distinction as we are commissioned to make disciples of all nations, not "believers".

Lewis Sperry Chafer just taught the truth on this subject.
Not quite, he introduced a new heresy that you cannot find in church history. This has culminated into the heresy of FGT, or better known as antinomianism.

Believer=disciple is the relatively new, forced addition to His Word.
Actually it's an accurate representation of the Gospel and the Word. You know nothing of Church history as that had always been the case until Chafer came along.

The Greek proves Chafer right and your theory wrong.
Not at all, but let's look at your failed argument below:

Believed in vs 30 is in the Aorist tense~~a moment in time that is perpetuated forever.
So, you're preaching them into heaven, correct?

The context of the passage shows them as lost, slaves to sin.

The aorist tense means it began and ended at a certain point. In time. Not eternity. And it did. It is not "perpetuated forever" It ended as soon as they made their claim. Your given definition is false and nowhere does this tense mean perpetuated forever in the sense that they were sealed. You simply don't know what you're talking about and at the same time completely ignore the context of the passage and base everything on an erroneous tense definition. The passage is plain enough, ,they were still lost, they did not follow Christ, proving they were not His sheep, as Christ also asserted. Note also John 10:27.

And to seal the deal
Still trying to seal it?

Utter nonsense. Christ stated they were slaves to sin, children of Satan who wanted to kill Him, all things contrary to true conversion.

I see Chafer has hoodwinked you as you completely miss what Christ is saying, reading into the text what is not there.

So, let me ask you so we can get this out there: If a person believes in your false aorist tense and lives in sexual immorality, drunkenness, and others sins, and practices sin, are they truly converted? I know the answer already and you're a false teacher.
