What I've found is their baseline is just a proportion and a guess. It was quite disappointing actually.
I keep reading the studies that AOK posts and they seem like they prove everything until you read more and realize the assumptions they are making.

This reminds me of a Martin Luther quote...

Science is built upon nature. If you wish to present an argument built entirely upon nature, a scientist would be much more willing to address your stance.
The fact that we know there is more than just nature doesn't change the science of things. Thus science by its very nature MUST rely on nature and only nature. Once supernature becomes involved, it is no longer science.

In fact the baseline they use to calcualte star distances (and therefore 'prove' the Earth is spinning by claiming the stars are too distant to orbit the Earth in 24 hours) is the very image of circular reasoning.
The baseline is derived from their ASSUMPTION of the earths orbit of the sun...which is totally unproven. So they take a measurement of parallax and then six months later take another measurement ASSUMING the Earth has travelled 186 million miles to the other side of its (unproven) orbit.
Lolz...thats some majorly assumed baseline.
This is the method upon which all star distances are calculated.
It's total rubbish.
