Nope. James continues to disagree with you. Man is enticed or tempted by his lusts not by God. Satan certainly uses this against men but even Satan cannot make you sin. Receive the engrafted word of God with meekness for it is able to save your soul. James 1:21

Why would Jesus tell us to pray this way? I certainly do. If you think God does not lead people into temptation then why all the examples in the bible of him doing so?

You are creating confusion because you do not understand the English translation you are reading and you do not consider all the parallel passages.

Mt 26:41 Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.

Sqabbling over choice is also a decision, lol. I choose Jesus, He is the way...simple as that!!!

I cherish that He gives us choice, what a beautiful and loving God, but also realize He calls us to make the right decision. So either way, without His work, there would be no choice.

Sorry for rambling on here, this thread just has me pondering.

“Then was Jesus led up of the Spirit into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil.” Matthew 4:1 (KJV 1900)

“And the LORD said, Who shall persuade Ahab, that he may go up and fall at Ramoth-gilead? And one said on this manner, and another said on that manner. And there came forth a spirit, and stood before the LORD, and said, I will persuade him. And the LORD said unto him, Wherewith? And he said, I will go forth, and I will be a lying spirit in the mouth of all his prophets. And he said, Thou shalt persuade him, and prevail also: go forth, and do so. Now therefore, behold, the LORD hath put a lying spirit in the mouth of all these thy prophets, and the LORD hath spoken evil concerning thee.” 1 Kings 22:20–23 (KJV 1900)

“Now there was a day when the sons of God came to present themselves before the LORD, and Satan came also among them. And the LORD said unto Satan, Whence comest thou? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, From going to and fro in the earth, and from walking up and down in it. And the LORD said unto Satan, Hast thou considered my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and an upright man, one that feareth God, and escheweth evil? Then Satan answered the LORD, and said, Doth Job fear God for nought? Hast not thou made an hedge about him, and about his house, and about all that he hath on every side? thou hast blessed the work of his hands, and his substance is increased in the land. But put forth thine hand now, and touch all that he hath, and he will curse thee to thy face. And the LORD said unto Satan, Behold, all that he hath is in thy power; only upon himself put not forth thine hand. So Satan went forth from the presence of the LORD.” Job 1:6–12 (KJV 1900)

How about the "Heart Hardnenings" causing greater sin with Pharaoh and others God destroyed?

Here again you confuse yourself. Temptation in the English translations is often meant to be testing. When men are tested it is for the glory of God and they are not tested to sin. Tempting is to entice to commit sin. Men tempt themselves by not avoiding things they know will lead to sin. Self righteousness is probably the most common of these temptations.

Note that in all these things Job did not sin. Job did prove the goodness of God. David succumbed to the temptation of Bathsheba but he did tempt himself to sin.

God gives us choices and we make them. Good choices and choices we regret making.

Indeed at birth we knew little but in old age see that Gods will is best in the end what so ever we perceived it as at first.
some of us knew at a very young age who God was and the truth. They were treated badly from a young age as well, to long a story to go into here. Most of the elect have been deceived into new age thinking or prosperity theology. Both have there foundations in the world, not God They need harvesting and returned to Jesus Flock. Then there are the chosen few, who were known to God before they were even conceived. Last is the recalcitrants, they refuse to worship any God, and actually consider themselves to be a god.

Here's a little test.

See if you can find faith in the unsaved human heart.

“But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.” Galatians 5:18–21 (KJV 1900)

Now, having searched in vain, see if you can spot faith in the saved person.

“But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.” Galatians 5:22–23 (KJV 1900)

Now, is faith a work of the flesh? Or is it a fruit of the Holy Spirit?
Jesus told the centurion more or less he had not seen such great faith

Is there a Valley of Indecision?
There is no Valley of Indecision other than for those who will not make a decision.

Actually that prophecy from Joel is not applicable right now. It applies to the Second Coming of Christ and the battle of Armageddon, which takes place after the sun and moon are darkened and the heavens and earth are shaken (following the Great Tribulation). The valley of Jehoshaphat could be the plain of Armageddon.

2 I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land...
11 Assemble yourselves, and come, all ye heathen, and gather yourselves together round about: thither cause thy mighty ones to come down, O LORD.
12 Let the heathen be wakened, and come up to the valley of Jehoshaphat: for there will I sit to judge all the heathen round about.
13 Put ye in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe: come, get you down; for the press is full, the fats overflow; for their wickedness is great.
(See Rev 14:14-20)
14 Multitudes, multitudes in the valley of decision: for the day of the LORD is near in the valley of decision.
15 The sun and the moon shall be darkened, and the stars shall withdraw their shining.
16 The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORDwill be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel.

Define it any way you want. I show God leading people into temptation, either way, you define it.
