Thank you.

I enjoyed the Amplified for the simple reason I didn't have e-sword at the time and it was more descriptive but I haven't read it for a long time. The last year or so I have been reading the KJV but I will try to get a copy of the NKJV.

Not so much, but Comfort's commentary is heavy-handed and blatantly slanted so as to give the Lordship Salvation interpretations more emphasis.

There are over 300 (Christian, Catholic, Cult) English bibles

which do not match in content, volume or doctrine.

There are two types of Bibles, Holy Bibles and Corrupt bibles.

KJV For we are not as many, which corrupt the word of God:

but as of sincerity, but as of God, in the sight of God speak we in Christ.

The lies that KJV Onlyists tell about other very reliable and literal renderings of God's perfectly preserved word only in the original languages grow tiresome and thin. Please peddle "KJV Onlyism" elsewhere, as here it is ...

If your Truly led of the Spirit, you will start out in whatever Bible you have.. but Eventually the Spirit will lead you to the Original Greek/Hebrew, studying that, and with that you need a Concordance, I've used the Strong's concordance ever since 1994. started out in some Parallel Versions of the Bible, found myself going to the King James Version, because of the Concordance Study, from there its Hebrew and Greek , what those Words mean that are in English, no matter how man changes them, its the Original Greek Hebrew, and from that you use a Concordance! I will say this though, man has changed the Word of God, fueled by the 'serpent' to change the Word of God from its Original Greek/Hebrew, this is very Subtle, but allowed so that that oL Girl from Revelation can be full of confusion and Chaos, yet be brought together by the false peace of the coming Man of Sin, who has yet to be revealed to this planet, in his due time, never late , never Early as God Himself is Sovereign and in Control!

Was there a committee connected with this translation or is it like the McCord, Berlely, Moffit, or Philips translations which were created solely by the scholars whose names they bear?

and the scripture of final authority is the published text and form
of the AV 1611 KJV Holy Bible first edition.

I certainly like the NKJV in deference to the KJV because the translators have made many corrections to misrepresented verb tenses and the English is much more contemporary. The KJV is a good translation but,the only real problem I have with the KJV is not its translational issues but the inferior nature of the Greek texts from which it was translated.

99% of the 5,500+ existing N.T. manuscripts
support the readings of the KJV Holy Bible.

The N.T. manuscripts of the KJV Holy Bible
predate the existing 45 Alexandrian manuscripts
and the reconstructed Codex Vaticanus and Codex Sinaiticus.
