The scriptures have admonished in several places to watch what goes into our hearts. The gateways into our hearts are what we hear and what we see.

There have been many complaints of people being personally attacked because their beliefs were different then the attackers. This seems to be a common occurrence. Disagreements will always be with us here on this earth as we all see in part and know it part.

Slander, bitterness and malice are common place and to see believers doing this to other believers is just as deadly as watching porn. When I see the typing of such malicious words on here , it is defiling us to have to view this on our screens. This is why I call it watching "Un-christian Porn".

How do we protect our hearts from the garbage that is being sent to us through our eyes while on this site?

If the person keeps on spewing garbage to you then ask them to stop and if they don't then just put them on the "ignore" status. This is what unfortunately I have had to do to a few that persisted in their malice. There is a way to disagree without attacking - personally the person, the name-calling, the bitterness being expressed and manifesting hate filled malice towards your brother or sister.

I encourage you to protect your heart and stop watching this "Un-christian Porn " being brought in to you through your eyes.....just put the offending people on "ignore" if they continue with their malice towards you. Just "shake the dust off your feet" towards them.

Bless them and leave them in the loving hands of our Lord. He will love on them. He will be faithful to them.

Not just because I find that doctrine highly offensive, but almost to a person they come off as angry, bitter, unloving, and self-righteous. I used to see their names and just stroll right by what they had to say, but every once in awhile I got caught up with their dissensions.

I truly feel sorry for these people, and some I think are just confused, but I'm going to let the Lord work on them, which I'm praying will free up my Spirit to spread uplifting, refreshment and the love of Christ to more people.

Yes, because we all know the purpose of a forum supposedly about Christianity is to endless gab about each other.

The NT is full of warnings to believers on how they can not act/walk, as the actions of a person clearly define if that person is abiding in Christ or not.

We are not called to sit back and let our fellow brothers and sisters in the faith walk in ways that is contradictory to the Word of God.

If we allow that leaven to take place then others who are weak in the faith might follow suit and think those improper actions are okay to do. This will lead them to ruin as a weak brother or sister can still perish......1 Corinthians 8:11

Your Lord didn't defend Himself even when they pounded nails into Him. When we did that to Him, we were definitely in the wrong. So how exactly are you living as He lived by being so concerned that men honor you and show you respect?

Jesus didn't defend Himself because He came to fulfill the prophecy of dying on the cross for our sins, if He defended Himself or let the Apostles defend Him then the prophecy would not have been fulfilled !!!

We must take and put things in proper context as to what was going on, and the bible is full of examples of defending oneself and others !!!

What I have seen on here popeye when it comes to these debates is those who deny what the bible says about many will depart from the faith is they focus to much on two topic's:

1) Born again...........(They put to much emphasis on this and use the whole straw-man you can't be unborn.)

2) Works.........(They focus to much on the works and thus use this straw-man that we must then have to earn.)

Both are faulty argument stances that I have tried for a year now to get people to look at the wrongful approach both of these arguments present.

Born again does not save no more then works save, baptism does not save no more then repentance saves, and so forth.............

We need to as believers stop looking at the individual things that are all part of the salvation process in Christ, and focus on the 1 part that really saves.............Faith in Christ !!!

Without that FAITH everything else is useless filthy rags, and the Word of God shows that eternal security only exists to those who abide in Christ.

Those who do not abide in Christ there is no security of receiving eternal life, but I have seen some on here who have said those who don't abide, fallen away, departed, and/or went apostate are still saved in Christ !!!

How can a person be saved if they have no faith in Him ??? Can't !!!

Just like all other sins it can be forgiven if repented of, however this goes into a whole other debate because some on here think repentance is just going from unbelief to belief !!!

When repentance is a change of mind that leads to stop walking in those sinful ways to then start walking in Christ's righteousness !!!
