I am curious though, out of the 'old people here', what are their denominations? As in, by and large, what do they believe? In my experience most old people who are active or vocal on forums or in 'study groups' are typically mainline believers in whatever religion they adhere to. Being raised Roman Catholic it's strange for me to see people older than 40 vocally active, it's kind of the norm for people older than 40 where I'm from to just have their disagreements or whatever and just keep going to Church and going through the motions.

I don't know. Just my experience.
raised atheist/agnostic with Jewish friends, been through most denoms and have settled more on the non denom side with mostly Refomational views and a dispensational eschatology.

its not how old you are its how it hold you feel. life is fun and life is what you make it if you dont take stuff to searioulsy all the time keep fit eat healthier and dont smoke youll allways have your youth inside.

i like what you wrote @truthtalk lol funny yep this site does seem to be more popular with the older fuddie duddies lol and so the drama continues haha
Hi Quickfire,

I agree with most of your ideas about aging and I will pray that God spares you the grief of becoming a "fuddie duddie" - :)

"And no one, after drinking old wine, wants new, because he says, The old is better." - Luke 5:39

yes let the drama continue....

It's funny, my body feels older than it's years, sometimes like it has used up the warreny several time over.:p
But my heart and mind feel younger each day, for the awe of all seen and known in Jesus, is limitless and childlike.
Makes me wonder that as the body dies, the spirit becomes so young, that real life begins in returning to birth . :)

God bless

old?

a lot of the people in the Bible were at least 50 before God even called them to do His will.

For example:

Genesis 12: 4
Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran

Moses was probably around 70 when he saw the burning bush, considering he was full grown before murdering a man in Egypt and fleeing to the desert for 40 years.

Even Jesus didn't start preaching until after He was 30 years old.

Luke 3
[h=3][/h][SUP]23 [/SUP]Now Jesus Himself began His ministry at about thirty years of age

besides its not how long you have been on the Earth that really matters but how long you've walked with the Holy Spirit.

Yes. I have joined here on last friday only. I have clearly observed that 40 to 50+ ages were dominating in most forums and chats.. (Other sites were not)

Thats Good.. We hope we will learn a lot from you.

Thanks.
Thank you. That is very kind of you to say.

You will experience much more, if you live to be a ripe old age.

well all i know is 40 is important in the bible and they say life begins at 40.
but will yer still love me when im 64.
aging should be like bottle of wine the older it gets the more it matures and the nicer it tastes.
the time we have left becomes more preciouse the more we should look to enjoy life.
Life will get better as we age, if we are following the Lord. We learn and learn and learn. That makes life a lot easier.

I hadn't noticed any old people on CC. Old is a state of mind. So is the state of denial. I've heard that seventy is the new forty. Of course time has no meaning for those who are eternally secure in the Savior.

All of us older than 55 are very elderly.

I do know my energy level has dropped a bit, even as my ambition increases.
