a lot of the people in the Bible were at least 50 before God even called them to do His will.

For example:

Genesis 12: 4
Abram was seventy-five years old when he departed from Haran


Moses was probably around 70 when he saw the burning bush, considering he was full grown before murdering a man in Egypt and fleeing to the desert for 40 years.

Even Jesus didn't start preaching until after He was 30 years old.
