P
nope. They did have a measure of the HS before pentecost. The same as today,salvation = measure of HS.......Baptism of HS = the second work as it did then.
19 Then the same day at evening, being the first day of the week, when the doors were shut where the disciples were assembled for fear of the Jews, came Jesus and stood in the midst, and saith unto them, Peace be unto you.
20 And when he had so said, he shewed unto them his hands and his side. Then were the disciples glad, when they saw the Lord.
21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace be unto you: as my Father hath sent me, even so send I you.
22 And when he had said this, he breathed on them, and saith unto them, Receive ye the Holy Ghost:

And we see that the disciples did not receive the Holy Ghost here, but were simply commanded to 4eceive Him when He came.
The Comforter could not come uñtil Christ returned to Heaven:
[h=1]John 16:7
King James Version (KJV)[/h]
7 Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.
The teaching that the Baptism with the Holy Ghost is a subsequent work in salvation is perhaps one of the greatest hoaxes ever perpetrated upon the Çhurch by teachers who create a false dichotomy within the Body of Christ, that there are those who are merely saved, and the the super-christians among us who have also been Baptized with the Holy Ghost.
Here...
[h=1]Acts 1:4-9
King James Version (KJV)[/h]
4 And, being assembled together with them, commanded them that they should not depart from Jerusalem, but wait for the promise of the Father, which, saith he, ye have heard of me.
5 For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.
6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, wilt thou at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?
7 And he said unto them, It is not for you to know the times or the seasons, which the Father hath put in his own power.
8 But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.
9 And when he had spoken these things, while they beheld, he was taken up; and a cloud received him out of their sight.
...it is clear that just as Christ taught the Comforter had not come, because Christ had not yet departed. They did in fact receive power when they received the Holy Ghost, but let's not forget that they are in fact receiving the Holy Ghost, in His ministry as Comforter, at this time.
When exhortation for Holy Ghost empowerment is in view, this is called being filled with the Spirit, not being baptized with Him.
God bless.
