What are the qualifications of an apostle?

I think there are works being done in the world which may be called apostolic in nature, there may be apostles but I have not encountered one.

Apostle simply means messenger

There were only 12 apostles who were eye witnesses to the life and death and resurrection of Jesus so they have that place in the church and their testimony is the foundation upon which the church is built.

But there were other apostles.

What this would mean is that the Catholic Church is being deceitful. Can anyone imagine this?

The bible warns of false apostles. Therefore, where are they? Do any exist today?

None of them claim to be apostles, you did that. Your outrage is as fake as your assertions.

Paul claims to be an apostle to assert that his apostleship gives him authority - from God - over the churches in Galatia.
Aside from him being an apostle how else would Paul have authority over the churches in Galatia?

I was talking about the Bishop of Rome and the other Eastern Orthodox Patriarchs. Of course Paul was an apostle, the Bible says he is.
