I have never believed anybody that's told me that God speaks to them ... audibly. Your post raises a very valid point.

Why can't He?
How far will you limit Him?
Did He speak to Moses? Or Paul?
Yes, it is true that it is impossible to pleas God without faith;
but to limit Him so,(by saying He can't speak to someone audibly?)
Do you hold to this as a tenant of your faith?

Hiya Abiding :) Your two-way convo post is interesting. If one actually claims to hear God's voice audibly speaking to them, where does our required "faith" enter the picture ? If I'm sitting in a Ferrari, I don't need faith to know that I'm sitting in a Ferrari. And yet we know that it's impossible to please God without faith ... without placing our trust in Him and His Word.

Not to get all DeNiro, but are you talking to me? :)

I'll assume so, since it was I who said 'limit'.
I was taught the no pleasing God without faith meant faith in the Lord Jesus unto salvation.
But then, this was a Baptist church. :) (I love those wonderful people!)

All Mighty God can do anything!
I don't think I have a particular tenet in this area...haven't had to think about it much.
Now I do. (jk)

What do you mean by limiting God?
Who can do that?
If He speaks audibly...you will hear Him and theres
nothing you can do about it to limit Him.
So what kind of question is that?

I was talking to the uncle from the Adam's family.
Who said he didn't believe anyone heard God audibly.
That's what kind of question it was.

If God speaks to someone,
why question it?
If He is telling them something contrary to His word,
then question it.
That's all I'm saying.
