It is better of you to ask God to change your body parts in pray if your body parts make sin.
We must be Holy on earth before go into the holy kingdom. We must know how to live a holy love on earth to go to Heaven. If you do not Know where Papua New Guinea is and if you do not know how the people of Papua New Guinea and if you do not have the Map of Papua New Guinea how can you come to Papua New Guinea. Likewise we must know how to go to have and practise on and live a pure holy life on earth to go to God’s Kingdom.
Therefore, if one of your body parts commit sin it is better to pray and ask God to fix it for you to be a good Christians.
No it’s not by faith you are being saved. You have to meet certain requirement and conditions in order to be saved. You believe and then you have faith AND you have to be baptised in water and Holy Spirit to go heaven. John 3:5-8
But listen, the work of the Holy Spirit ceased in Israel and is no longer exist. The Bible says that, God will turn his back on them and choose other people.

I prefer OEAE (once elect always elect), or OAAC (once adopted always a Child of God), or CWNDHB (Christ will not divorce His Bride), but that seems to be exactly what this debate boils down to.
Those work too but CWNDHB is way hard for me to member lol. I'm lucky I remember OSAS LOL

I just like acronyms! Especially when they are obscurely complicated. (If you couldn't tell, I totally made the last one up)

Matthew 5:28-30:

Adultery

28but I say to you that everyone who looks at a woman with lust for her has already committed adultery with her in his heart. 29"If your right eye makes you stumble, tear it out and throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to be thrown into hell. 30"If your right hand makes you stumble, cut it off and throw it from you; for it is better for you to lose one of the parts of your body, than for your whole body to go into hell.

Let me first say that I am a firm believer in OSAS and it is by faith that you saved. But no matter how many times I read this is always concerns me in the back of my mind. When I read this it makes it sound like you can lose or forfeit your salvation.

Can anyone explain this to me?
hello!:)i thought for a while there you are talking about "the vincc'i codes" it's just a side comment:).

from my understanding; adultery sin is mostly seen from men..from women is just plain whoredom(a wanting)..

Hosea 1
1 The word of the Lord that came unto Hosea, the son of Beeri, in the days of Uzziah, Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, and in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, king of Israel.
2 The beginning of the word of the Lord by Hosea. And the Lord said to Hosea, Go, take unto thee a wife of whoredoms and children of whoredoms: for the land hath committed great whoredom, departing from the Lord.
3 So he went and took Gomer the daughter of Diblaim; which conceived, and bare him a son.
Hosea 2
1 Say ye unto your brethren, Ammi; and to your sisters, Ruhamah.
2 Plead with your mother, plead: for she is not my wife, neither am I her husband: let her therefore put away her whoredoms out of her sight, and her adulteries from between her breasts;
3 Lest I strip her naked, and set her as in the day that she was born, and make her as a wilderness, and set her like a dry land, and slay her with thirst.
4 And I will not have mercy upon her children; for they be the children of whoredoms.
5 For their mother hath played the harlot: she that conceived them hath done shamefully: for she said, I will go after my lovers, that give me my bread and my water, my wool and my flax, mine oil and my drink.
6 Therefore, behold, I will hedge up thy way with thorns, and make a wall, that she shall not find her paths.

.....
Matthew 5:28
But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart.
Matthew 5:32

But I say unto you, That whosoever shall put away his wife, saving for the cause of fornication, causeth her to commit adultery: and whosoever shall marry her that is divorced committeth adultery.

SO let's say, and I'm totally serious, hypothetically, that just before the nurse put the IV in my arm to put me to sleep before getting major surgery I glanced down her body and looked at things I shouldn't. Just before I got knocked out I thought about some VERY indecent lustful thoughts. Then during the surgery my heart stops and die unexpectedly. Now technically, the last thing I did was lust and didn't even have time to repent. Would I be going to hell?

Yes or no answer would be great!
you want a yes or no answer....how can I give that with so many variables...seems to me that person was not in fellowship with God.....his mind is not set on Christ...where your treasure is that is where your heart will be..so it is not the last thing you did to blame but you actions leading to the last thing...seems to me if you had lived and the opportunity presented itself for adultery/fornication with the nurse, it may have borne fruit...because that is what your mind is full of...scripture says renew your mind...why were you not obeying God? Do you think that attitude is fit for the kingdom?....and don't think for a minute I an not speaking to myself also...

ummmm....ok. So you are eternally damned and eternally tormented if you believe that Jesus died for you, asked to be saved, but from time to time might commit adultery with your eyes or think impure thoughts?

I'll continue to try my hardest, but I might be screwed.
which do yo you think is proper.....you sin and say God has to save me because he promise in his word and he cannot go back on his word...or...you sin and say God please forgive me I have polluted myself and is not worthy of being in your presence have mercy on me and deliver me...

God gave us power to say no to sin ...he allows no temptation that we are not able to bear...and with it makes a way of escape...and if we sin we can confess and he forgives.....why then should we be found with sin....it is like one living in a multitude of waters but refuse to take a bath...

Did Abraham break it, then??? Where is he at??? I wish we would think about these things!

How about Jacob? In our society today, we'd say he has two main and two side chicks (slang ladies)! How would you view this man if he was alive today?

You'd more than likely condemn him in your view of the commandment. But despite that, you seem to give him and his illegitimate children a pass. Why? Oh cause the bible says so! But where does that leave everyone else in the same situation. According to you burning in hell!

I don't get it.....
What you don't seem to get here is forgiveness.

As far as Jacob, polygamy is not a sin. (God figured it would be enough punishment in itself.) There are Laws given for polygamy...

Exo 21:10 If he take him another wife; her food, her raiment, and her duty of marriage, shall he not diminish.

Would I condemn Jacob for multiple wives according to the seventh Commandment? No, He was married to these women. He was not having sex outside of marriage.

Then the person is not really a Christian are they?

"37 Now when they heard this they were cut to the heart, and said to Peter and the rest of the apostles, “Brothers, what shall we do?”38 And Peter said to them, “Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of your sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit." Acts 2:37-38
No, because a Christian will not repent does not mean he was never a Christian. Heb 6:4-6 the Hebrew writer speaks of Christians who have fallen away putting themselves in a position from which it was impossible for them to repent.

What if I stumble because of a sin... literally, and then die immediately when I hit the ground? (Maybe I was checking out a guy and fell down some stairs because I wasn't looking where I was going) I couldn't repent because I was dead. Am I going to be forgiven?
Let's say it was willfully, as in I was convicted immediately but looked anyway. Let's say it was an ongoing sin, as in I was continually struggling with this lust issue, and constantly repenting and failing, over and over.
Maybe someone would need to offer some hail Marys for me at my funeral, or pay some indulgences, or maybe I'd have to work that one off in purgatory.

If one can lust for a few moments and it has no effect upon his salvation, then surely he can lusts for hours, days, weeks, months, years, decades and it not effect his salvation either?

i'm saying if we think, at any time, we are without sin, we're fooling ourselves.

i'm saying the only 'in' that matters is IN Christ.
Eph 1:4; Eph 5:27; 2 Pet 3:14 says the Christian is one who is without spot, without blame, without wrinkle.

So the obvious question is how can a Christian that sins ever be without spot, without blame, without wrinkle?

(Hint: eternal security is NOT the answer)

God's grace is not cheap, but it is sufficient. If it was not sufficient I would have gouged one of my eyes out long ago, I'd be missing my left arm and would never walk outside again for fear of being smitten by an attractive woman and succumb to improper thoughts. But thanks be to God we live under the grace of Jesus Christ.

God empowers those who seek Him and when you have Him first in your life you can overcome such temptation. Yet we are not perfect, and I thank God that He knows us and understands that even His most obedient, well intentioned children will backslide in one form or another on some level in life, and when it does, the blood of Jesus covers us and saves us. God's grace is imperishable and Eternal. Thank you, Jesus!

Jesus was referring to the ones that thought that they were perfect, but Jesus was letting them know if they didn't do the dirty deed, physically, but God can see through the veil that we'd covered our feelings with, pretending not to have desires for doing the dirty deeds. So if you try your best not to look at a naked person that means that you can be tempted, and which means that you are not perfect as you think, because if someone had shown you a picture of a naked fish, to you it will seem as if it weren't nothing to be tempted by if you look; but if you are weak, looking at the naked fish will arouse you and then you has lusted and which that is a sin; but if you admitted before hand, that you were imperfect and need of a physician, then you are overlooked.

Worry no more! :D What you need to realize is that Jesus was raising, or rather, bring to light the full standard of the Law. This isn't a verse directed to you, a person under the grace of God. This is directed to the self-righteous, not you who has received imputed righteousness from Jesus Christ. You see, some people want to say that Jesus was "just kidding." The thing is... he wasn't. He was being dead serious, literally because if they died while failing to keep that Law there were serious consequences.

Remember that the Law is works-based, and not of faith. 613 laws to be exact. If you fail in one count you fail in all of it. So Jesus was being absolutely clear about perfection. If your eyes make you sin, rip 'em out! If your right hand makes you sin, chop it off! For us, however, when we sin the blood of Christ cleanses us. It is equivalent to the story of a boy finding a shiny rock and he hides it in the mud to return to it the next day. However, each day that he returned to see the rock he had to clean it and then put it back in the mud. There was a water fall nearby and the boy had an idea. If he has it sit in a wedge between some rocks in the waterfall it will stay clean and always being washed. In the same way, we are washed by the blood of Christ continually.

Deuteronomy 7:6-8
[FONT=kepler-std !important]"For you are a holy people to the LORD your God; the LORD your God has chosen you to be a people for His own possession out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth.
"The LORD did not set His love on you nor choose you because you were more in number than any of the peoples, for you were the fewest of all peoples, but because the LORD loved you and kept the oath which He swore to your forefathers, the LORD brought you out by a mighty hand and redeemed you from the house of slavery, from the hand of Pharaoh king of Egypt.

9But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 10Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.

11Dearly beloved, I beseech you as strangers and pilgrims, abstain from fleshly lusts, which war against the soul;12Having your conversation honest among the Gentiles: that, whereas they speak against you as evildoers, they may by your good works, which they shall behold, glorify God in the day of visitation.:) 1 Peter 2
